As an expat I love shopping at Lotus. Usually we’ll grab a lunch upstairs for under $2 and then shop for the groceries. There’s usually some sale items (similar) to the west that are deals awa eveything else needed for the pantry. 😊
@@CoopersThaiAdventure that's great. You've made it very easy to see the area and you're the one that has explained so much in detail and has made it way for me to say "I can't wait to get there and enjoy life. Thank you and Darlene so much.
That’s a really comprehensive look around, thanks Cooper. It’s a great store with virtually everything that you could need. I’m looking forward to seeing many of the places that you’ve featured on your excellent videos. Keep doing what you’re doing.
Great video on Lotus, I used it to buy a bed pillow the same as my one back home. There was also a great furniture shop on the road back to Jomtien on the left hand side with beautiful bespoke items you might like to make a video of. Of course shop might not be there now but keep up the good work. 👍 John H.
Love the Chanel, I generally find the content very good, although just sometimes I need some quick info, so in this case can you give me the address for the super market, I just must have missed it if you put it in here. I plan to come over in January for a visit and try to catch up for a chat if the moons line up. Cheers macca

Coop I’m all over your channel, really digging this super market video ..I love to cook as much as I love going out ..really impressed with food options in the market there ..Struggling between Philippines vs Thailand and you’ve told me 35% cheaper there in Thailand..Condos look so much nicer for value …$2500 per month doable comfortably for a single cat ..?
Coop. try Stevia instead of Equal, which is just chemicals. Stevia is from a plant. I learned to like it when I was doing keto diet. See you in 6 months. I wish I had never left Thailand. I loved Chiang Mai but it's too remote.
165 baht on the hot dog relish is actually about $4.85. That is typical of the the OBSCENE pricing on about all imported foods. Another example is a can of off-brand refried beans in the States was about $1 when I left last December, it is over $3 in Thailand. Then consider milk is about double the price. Beer is about 30% more. Hard liquor from the states is about 125% more. But, on the flip side much is cheaper than the states.
This is fantastic, It is fabulous to know where to find things when you are in a new place, so this makes it so easy. I will definitely visit there when I come over. Keep up the good work.
Hi Coopers, great video again,we see lots of videos in regards health insurance, but so far nothing on where to buy prescription medication.Hospitals are charging crazy prices, but there are places you can get it to reasonable prices.Maybe your viewers have experiences Keep up the great work you and your wife.

Another great vid Coop and Darlene! Correct me if I'm wrong, salad bar showed 29B per 100 grams of weight. Not unlimited. Also is Tesco a membership club like the one you showed in Philippine's? Or open to all?
@@CoopersThaiAdventureHey Coop. Looks great brother. I look forward to shopping there and trying out the food court in time. Very reasonable prices throughout. Like you said, a one stop shop. Thanks again Coop. Enjoy the weekend 🤝
Nice market, thanks for the tour! I hear that you can't drink the water out of the faucet there, but can you brush your teeth and rinse your mouth with tap water? And can you wash your fruits and vegetables with the tap water? Can you use tap water for cooking? How about drinking water, are there companies that will deliver 5 gallon jugs of drinking water to your condo? Thanks again!
I definitely won't have a problem living the carnivore lifestyle in Thailand. Tesco has always been one of my favorite places to shop when I visited years ago. In Cebu there were more pharmacies than 7-11’s. I was curious how they do pharmacies in Thailand. Are they incorporated into the supermarkets like the USA or are they just in stand alone locations throughout you local area?
I’m not sure weather the pharmacy in the supermarket are corporations like in the states. I’m just happy I can get my meds when I need them and most of the time I don’t even need a prescription 👍❤️👍
How do expats that live in studio and 1 bedroom condos store their refrigerator and freezer items? A lot of the condo videos show a small refrigerator and even smaller freezer compartment?
Certainly a great range of food & products there to be brought. Even stuff for the big kids that never grow up. Coco Pops & Fruit Loops. 🤣. Thanks for sharing Cooper & Darlen. 👍
I'd be able to feed myself easily with all that on offer! I'm so accustomed to cooking for myself. That salad bar would work for me on a daily basis; then a portion of the raw chicken, a few herbs and veggies to simmer up my chicken soup. Add in a few of those luscious pastries, some fresh fruit . . .what more do you need? Oh, yeah: splurge just a bit on some of that wide cheese selection. Buy some Thai tea for my iced tea that (as a USA Southerner) is pretty much a requirement to live!! 😂 The food court upstairs would be a good way to ease into local Thai food, rather than diving right in to the street food scene, for those of us with the fussier tummies! Great video. Thanks for bringing us along.
Nice work Cooper & Darlene!! That’s my usual supermarket that I shop at wen I’m there…was Tesco Lotus but still same as Lotus. Like you said u can get everything under 1 roof there at great prices. I usually hit the KFC there before start the shop!! Must try the food court nxt time as gotta eat healthier!! Keep up the great work!!🤔😉😎🙏🏼👍🏻
Good video Cooper. I have a few questions that I've seen are issues in the Philippines and I'd like to see how Thailand compares. 1. Can you find larger size clothes there? 2. Are the electronics (computers, tv's and phones) way more expensive there than in the US? 3. In general is the quality of merchandise there good? 4. How is the customer service there? Thank you very much! You're doing a great job.
Hi Mark. As we lived in the Philippines for almost 2 years. I have done a lot of price comparison videos between the two countries. 1) yes plus size up to 7XL here 2) electrical items are cheaper here than the Philippines 3) my wife says the quality is much better here 4) excellent customer service
Hey Cooper, thank you for all the great videos. I currently live in California, Sacramento to be exact, born and raised in LA. My plan is to leave this rat race as a retired early and 2400 a month doesn’t go very far in the states. So I’m coming to Thailand for the month of November, and then me and my Australian Cooper will move to Jomtien hopefully in March. Hope to see you in November. Have a great day.
Will you make a vlog about your monthly budget there? I am single and not into gorls and don't drink or smoke or go to clubs. Is $3,500 USD a month good for many years living there?
Thanks Cooper, really enjoy your channel. Chicago area subscriber here, just turned 70 and will be retiring to Thailand soon. I sent my daughter Kelly there in May and she's been in Thailand ever since, except for a Cambodian border run. She loves it and is currently in Koh Samui. I think a nice condo would be okay but I would really like a private secluded place out of the way, and as long as I'm dreaming something with the pond or a waterview or elevation or all of it. Am I dreaming or do you think I'll be able to rent something like that given that I will be trying to live on a budget of about $3,700?
Is the salad bar 29 baht per container or 29 baht per 100 grams? The sign looked like 29 baht per 100 grams but I might be misunderstanding. Thanks Coop.
@CoopersThaiAdventure OK, thank you. One of the things I struggle with when I visit the markets is, I see the prices and have no idea what the unit of measurement is for the price.
