I wouldn't be able to categorize this song/band if my life depended on it. Whatever it was that I just listened to...I liked it. It felt familiar but so new at the same time!

DSO are from Sweden.
They used to refer to their style as Riot-opera, but most people call it Avant-garde metal

The fun part about this band is that all their songs are different to the point that any of them can be a new subgenre. Their style is "what if x style had a baby with x completly different style". "A tap dancer's dilemma" is probably the most representative song of their whole catalogue. Some suggestions:
If you want to listen samba + die antwood + thrash metal + a cacophony of chaos and different vocals in a same song + Chicken sounds go for "War painted valentine"
They also have a lot of songs with latin influences, you may feel the urge to dance listetening the heavy carnival of "Guerilla lamments"
If you like disco + metal + pop try "Jigsaw hustle"
Another cool song that sounds like Meshuggah + Doom OST industrial death metal but with nightclub cool 90's dance music listen to " Out Came the Hummingbirds"

I won't tell you which, if any, are similar to what you've heard, but you'll notice that you can expect one thing from DSO and that's being unexpected. I know it is a longish list, but I severely cut down and this means there are sides to DSO you won't hear in the songs on this list. Also you would sure miss out if you just went for those with videos, as some of my favourites don't have any (not saying the ones with vids are bad, they're awesome).
The list is chronological from earliest album to most recent, but the order doesn't really matter at all, as even songs from the same album can sound vastly different.
Maybe start with Poetic Pitbull Revolution as it also is from Butcher's Ballroom just to make that point and then maybe jump around a bit and mix those with and without vids? So... Superhero Jagganath after that, maybe?

Their most recent album is called "Swagger and Stroll Down the Rabbit Hole", so... I'd just start with the old ones and work forward from there.

Diablo Swing Orchestra can't be put in any musical genre as they're mixing everything everytime, you can even hear 2 different songs from them without considering this is the same band. They've just reached intantly my top favorite list of bands.
And note that, while their first album were done with a lyrical singer, they now have a new singer with a totally different voice and style (a bit as if Tori Amos had a secret daughter with Gwen Stefani) which led to completely change again the styles.
In their last album, I'm a total fan of Celebremos lo inevitable which mimics mexican songs for the dead (but with a nice touch of metal)
