That white GT-R that was all cut up isn't a parts car, it was wrecked very badly and Yoshida-san has taken on the monumental task of restoring it. Very good video! Love to see more stuff about Garage Yoshida.
Hey Sam thank you for walking through his facility and sharing it with us! It was quite a long while ago when you filmed yourself doing some welding underneath your S15 and at the time you mentioned how much you had to learn about it (welding). Heard you mention about the tach welding machines Garage Yoshida has, the same ones your friend sells and it made me wonder about which processes Yoshida-san uses in his shop. Did you notice if he prefers TIG, MIG, Flux core or stick? Our project R32 has a fair amount of rust in the usual places and undoubtedly once I get into the frame members I will have to do some grafting to replace any rusted out surfaces. I wish to replicate as much of Yoshida-san's techniques as much as possible for our car...it will pay off in the long run for us!
Just seeing and knowing that Yoshida san is keeping that R34 spirit alive to this day and on top of that, from head to toe giving them a today's day parts upgrade, really warms my heart! Great video 🙏🏽
@@Orangutang09 I know. The main comment was is the RED 33.4 booked yet. So I was being sarcastic because he only has one. My comment was a QUESTION hence the ? At the end. Because he only has one so you don’t need to add color like the original comment did😂
Very likely. The faded paint on some of the parts match his car and he did request his engine bay to be paint matched, looks like that's exactly what they're doing. I do noticed the hood on the back has a duct while Larry's does not. Could be something he wants to add on the car tho.
Sammit amazing vid great to see some more GTR content 👍 the level of detail in his craftsmanship is phenomenal 👌 all GTR's need to be saved and by him keep up the great work 👍
My father in the mid 70s too early 80s had a brand new C110 Skyline followed by a 2 door C210Skyline 240 KGT.. At 4 or 5 months old the C210 Skyline was showing rust . Nissan dealer said when he took it back the car must have been top of the ship or somewhere on an open deck of ship coming over from Japan to Southampton.
My question is how do locals feel about so many of their cars being exported? Is it possible there could one day be a shortage as a result of so many being shipped off
Maybe turn ur abandoned s15 into a duplicate version of ur comp car so u can practice more often, rarher than drifting so often in ur missile chaser, i remember hearing from pro d1 drifters saying drifting too much in missiles got them so accustomed to missile drifting it hurts their pro drifting performance, maybe u should dial it down on missile drifting to matsuri or missile events & focus more on pro drifting pratices Great content as always top notch
I wonder if he'd consider buying the sheet metal stamps for these from Nissan? That'd be the most unreal option for restoration, FRESH STAMPED OEM PANELS!!!!
Hey sammit, yoshida San is saving that crashed R32 gtr. It belongs to a customer who wants to restore it to its former glory as it saved his life in an accident. More on it on hagerty with Larry Chen.
If I ever own a GTR (which I never will in my life), I would definitely bring it to the legend and have him restore my GTR back to its original form like factory spec.
@@darkhorse4148 ALL GTRs are rusted, its just the way Nissan made them that you cant scape rust, Chen’s car was one of the best ones Mr Yoshida had seen and it had rust, Mr Yoshida also explained Nissan used very little glue( i know its not the name but I don’t know the proper name) where the panels meet, so moisture and water always gets in.Depending on the package you buy from Mr Yoshida he will put way more that what Nissan put or at least enough where rust wont be a problem
You spell it "fairly.... largely, not Farely largely" although you didn't spell the word wrong, it was the incorrect use of a word that is pronounced the same but spelling is different and meaning is different. LOVE you all so much ❤️🥰
It's been quite a few years since we saw that content for the first time he's mentioned the pile of Parts many times in quite a few different videos and the only thing he can say is it's coming... Granted that beautiful island that I know well... was a salty death sentence for anything metal but what a cool place. With so many of these being abandoned and left for the slim Pickens this one now needs to be done right. I hope he gets to it before his next kid is born.
17:02 according to what Larry Chen posted in his video, this wreck was being used as a parts car, but things changed and there are plans to restore it (it is a very early production model? Can someone confirm?)
😢 Damn! I wanna vist Japan so bad, but I've to saty in my country to support my family, hope to visit japan one day and fulfill my dream if life gives me a chance. 🙂❤ 🇯🇵 👍🏻
I should have bought a R34 GTR 20 years ago, ill never be able to afford one now lol the price of a v spec is just bonkers now. hopefully I will have a decent condition 32 in the next year or so.
IT'S rare to see anyone doing a great job in body work. Love the detail he goes to.
So essentially a RestoMod making them better from the factory! This guy is talented and clever. A perfectionist. @sammit meets some amazing people
yoshida is a hero. a living legend
only the real keep them running and alive 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌

Sammy needs all the views he has done so much for the car community bringing the light to what really no one shows in Japan it's really amazing.
I love seeing this kind of work there really isn't enough people out there doing it these days and want to take on the kind of jobs he does
Dude goes straight into salesman mode when it’s his turn to talk 😂
No matter the question….straight into sales mode lol
Yoshida putting his hand over the metal as the guy was talking and slightly backing up... guy is amazing.

😢😢😢 so proud matt. Keep at it big fella! Always great support from the homies
That equipment is called an English Wheel Sam. Used to curve metal. Guys like this are crucial for our scene, amazing work and attention to detail. 👍😎
Plus a bead roller, with a tipping wheel in it for flanges etc.
Isn't that Larry Chen's R34 in the paint room?!
Shhh
I saw that vid

This man is true hero for saving these cars an getting them back on the road. It takes alot of skill an time to do this.
The tool used for rolling out steel..is called an english wheel
actually restoring cars unlike tummyscamyeah

Why have all generations other than R35 suffered with horrendous rust problems.
Awesome video as always Sammit. Yoshida is a legend and a true craftsman.
Just watched Larry's video on him lastnight that he posted while back, dude is a legend.
The outcome of each project is incredible and it comes from people who love what they are doing.. the result is prove of that
The graveyard of strut towers is hilarious
Nice to see you speaking Japanese so much more!
17:19 English wheel, can have a few different attachments that change the profile.
English Wneel is what ya call that big roller wheel

Great feature, well done. And Yoshida-san is a living legend to us gtr owners
@17:20 It is called an English Wheel.
Living there and only working on these cars must be very fulfilling I couldn’t imagine not liking it
That's the GT-R paradise
English Wheel is what that tool was to bend the steel.
I like how Doston is always trying to sale! 😅 great video guys!
Wow
The craftsmanship is tops
The metal roller is an English wheel.
He does such an incredible job to say the least. Such a great video. Really hope to see the abandoned S15 come back to life.
This video hit hard. Enjoy the video more than i expect to every time.
If I ever own a GTR (which I never will in my life), I would definitely bring it to the legend and have him restore my GTR back to its original form like factory spec.
protect that man at all cost
Tommyfyea, now known as Grageszero tryna do this shit in the US, but not going all the way with rotisseries/rust repair just seems funny to me.
Tommy’s does not want to restore rusted GTR’s.
He doesn’t restore shit cars

Man I love this type of content so much ! This is so interesting !
The GOAT of GTRs
19:57 Pretty sure that was Larry Chen’s Bayside Blue R34
Waiting for Tommy to comment on this. Him and yoshida need to meet and go over cars
Thank you for documenting a shop saving an entire generation’s dream cars
That’s tells everything that that man takes pride in what he does he does awesome work
I just watched Larry Chen's R34 done by the same garage, this guy is next level
The man has the right set up 👍👍🇦🇺
Pretty sick to see the cellet bench. I use them here in the states for porsche. Much love Sammit. Thanks for the content.
Japan is amazing
and yoshida is still young meaning those cars will live for a long time
(Oh, the metalshaping thing you couldn't remember the name of is called an English Wheel.)
Brilliant vid @sammit! Great to see Garage Yoshida. Never realised it so was so far out in the sticks
# Save all GTR's 👍
I believe the black piece of equipment you were questioning is called a "brake" ... a metal brake for bending
Surely the bayside 34 gtr is sammits new car
Take notes fyeah this is how it's done.
Heroic Sammit and Yoshida san
Larry Chen GTR is somewhere in there
I can picture Sam buying a place like this in the future. He is going to outgrow where's he is at in a year or two.
U are lucky guys..welcome to my country Malaysia
This dudes work is so amazing. Sam dont tease us with the abandoned s15 haha

Makes you wonder if nissan did a straight up reproduction of these cars, how well would they sell?
Is that an SR autobody from UK strut repair panel I see , check out SR AUTOBODY’s work , two men doing Gods work.
awesome work these guys are doing! 😍
I should have bought a R34 GTR 20 years ago, ill never be able to afford one now lol the price of a v spec is just bonkers now. hopefully I will have a decent condition 32 in the next year or so.

Very inspiring 😊
