Perky peppermint, with its cooling, anti-inflammatory properties makes a perfect companion for cucumber, an astringent skin toner in its own right. I use an electric blanket to force the “gel” phase of saponification. It’s a more controlled process than just leaving it to the ambient conditions.

Thanks for your comment. There is a certain loss during saponification, but it doesn’t eliminate the benefits.
