Beautiful, I do use the peels as well
Another favorite of mine as well. So good to join you in your studio. Blessings 🌟
Great to have you with me again this week. Can't wait to see your latest beauty too
Thank you for sharing. This is a beautiful bar. Sometimes simplicity is perfect!
I agree Jane. I love to create coloured and design-led soaps too but often it's the simple ones that I like the best. Thanks for your support
Thanks for sharing 👍
Oh wow, this is so beautiful 💗
Dear, very easy.. Thanks..
Thank you Ms Sarah from 🇺🇸🇻🇮 for your wonderful time and effort in sharing your beautiful recipes. You motivate me in moving forward with my soaping journey. I enjoy all your videos and love your accent.
This looks so beautiful.
Thanks Tanya. There can be great beauty in simplicity, I am so glad you like it :)
I made aloe and cucumber soap. It's marvelous, same another you made before... thanks for your support to latin soaps maker 😄
You are truly such a wonderful person.. been following your channel for a while and was able to learn better . Thank you very much . god bless u more n more .
i love it! i am not over weight i am just super fatted! that's awesome!
Such adorable people 😂❤
Thanks for sharing this small batch size, this looks really nice and refreshing, could i add mint infused olive oil? And the tea lye solution add cucumber juice instead i bet that would smell amazing.
Nice video❤❤❤❤❤
I'll be substituting palm oil for sunflower seed oil instead
Hi! Do you substitute some of the water on soap calc for purée? Or do you add 50g purée on top on the base recipe please?
How long should it be kept for curing ?
Great tip for the dog treats, we give our dogs raw carrot chunks instead of treats. I'm telling everyone I'm super fatted too. Thanks 😁
The funniest thing he's said for ages lol. Ours eat cooked carrots but not raw sadly.
Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe. So what super fast did you use and did you do any water discount?
I don't normally discount my water on fruit or vegetable soaps, I use a 30% to 32% water
That was simply lovely.... Thank You so much for sharing this recipe... I just have one question in mind... What is the shelf life of these soaps which are made from fruit or vegetable puree...
Hi Nupoor, I have made loads of them in various options and none of them has gone bad if they are fully liquified and you don't add too much. I have some that are now over 4 years old
@@SoapSchoolUK Thank You so much for clearing my doubt M'am... I will surely try this recipe... 😊😊
hello
We can dissolve the soaps on the market and add aloe vera and vitamins
thank you😊🌸
Hello Sarah.. jow do u decide how much fruit/veg puree u add in a recipe. I'd be greatful if you'd reply.. thank you..
HI can i use shea butter in the place of palm oil. Thanks
You can but you will need to recalculate the recipe to adjust the amount of lye needed :)
I have made cucumber soap using pureed cucumbers as the full liquid portion without any issues. Is this normally not done?
Some people do use it as a complete swap for the water, I prefer to use less though :)
"I'm not overweight I'm just superfatting" Priceless, I'm never going to forget that
I made this soap but sadly after a week it developed brown spots. Any idea what went worng? It was inititally beautiful and I was so excited.
It was completelysmooth when I oured it. The only parts that turned brown were the skin flecks of the cucumber. I'm going to give it another try and peel the cuc this time.
Were the brown spots big ones or just around the tiny bits of peel? The reason I ask is because if they were around only the tiny bits of peel, that was perfectly fine. However, if the spots were just vague and smelled badly, those were DOS, or Dreaded Orange Spots, and a sign that something either came into contact with your soap if it was only one spot, or that one or more of your oils may have been rancid, if there were more spots on more than one soap and they were not small.
I hope this helped even though it's a late response.
😉☕😊
Hello, how many month's we can use this soap, and how many months we can store to.
Haha! I'm superfatted too!
Hi. I just want to know how much % for any kind of purée (veg / fruits) is used as ppo or whole soap batch? Thank u
We use pretty much the same amount for most of our recipes - around 50g of puree per kilo of oils
Can u plz make a video on making soap dough plz? Lard & Beef Tallow r not available in my country. Bee Iyata used one of the ingredient in her free soap dough making recipe. Thank u 😊
May I suggest that instead of planing your soap to remove the ash that's formed, you could simply wipe it off with a damp cloth or even wash the soap! It'll be shiny and clean straightaway!
That's a great point - thank you! We often do a water bath or steam them to remove the occasional soda ash too.
Do the active ingredients really survive the lye and saponification process?
It's an interesting question. I like to think that many do as Professor K Dunn has detailed how essential oils do retain their properties in the soap.
Such a beautiful soap! And I totally agree with him, I have a high superfat too!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I want to use cucumber water that I strained and froze to use in place of the water for the lye ... will this option burn the juice and stink? I've googled this to death and found no clear answers.
I would give it a try. The main thing is to try and keep it as cold as possible. Try placing it into an ice water bath to keep the heat down even further
What is the lye solution made of? You need to be more detailed..
The recipe is in the description under the video. The lye solution is a standard lye and water mix
