Your car sounds awesome Mike. There's some great bolt on parts in the states. The J pipe is incredible. It's cool that you put the Holden badges on the car. Enjoy many years of driving pleasure. From Australia.

Does the O2 sensor plugs come with the kit and does this system turn on the check engine light?

This was a great video and I really appreciate that you didn't play any BS rock music! The only thing missing was your comments following the install.

I was thinking about doing Long tubes into stock exhaust but I seriously think this is a much better option and cheaper. Sounds amazing!

Lol... someone might wonder why an Impalibu has quad pipes... until that LS3 comes to life! Sounds killer. 👍
It’s great to see the aftermarket “do the math” on making a truly integrated and tuned system. The J-pipes to provide a resonance chamber to eliminate drone, for example. I remember years past when aftermarket exhaust was basically just welding up whatever could physically be fitted... no effort given to proper tuning or NVH characteristics. Looks like Solo has made a great system.

car sounds great! how much louder is this than a stock (16-17)? I'm really looking into this setup, but don't want it super crazy loud either.

Also noticed you have yellow brake calipers did you paint them or are they just covers over the OE red brake calipers ?

Nicely done sir. Looked at Solo for their axlebacks but went with some
Borla S-Types and kept the stock mid-muffler. Should have gone your route instead.

A little late to the party... But I'm thinking of adding the Solo axel back to my new Stainless Works headers. But will I miss the Bi-Mods? Yours sounds amazing. Any updates? I called Solo and asked about the 3.5 tips you have. The don't recommend them because you have to be very precise when setting them due to lack of clearance. But I like how they fill the opening better. Thoughts? Thanks!!

I'm not gonna lie to you its a tight fit. lol It takes a good deal of positioning them to keep em from hitting. So far so good.

WOW just noticed that your Exhaust system is not the same as the australian version ,which i guess has something to do with the Emissions control, basically the solo exhaust is what the chevy or holden SSV redline gets down under and with the bi model rear mufflers ? Yours has no Center muffler, which all the series one SS and the series two has got in australia. :) Basically the series one has no bi models rear mufflers full stop. :)

I just ordered this system. For the o2 sensor plugs, did they not include them. Do we not have o2 sensors that hook up in that location from the factory exhaust.

    • @GXPFiend

Correct. I had to hunt them down at an autoparts store. They were a tough thread to find.

I have headers and a 3inch all the way through. No drone nothing. With a lumpy cam etc, it pops and cackles all day and no drone. Get rid of the j pipes. Let it breathe. Cold starts are shit, get it when its warm.

I just ordered this exhaust, is getting o2 sensor plugs a must or can you re-use the rear o2 sensors?

    • @GXPFiend
      @GXPFiend  5 років тому +1

I reused mine. One was cross threaded and the threads were ugly looking when I finally got it out. It did tighten back up tho.
