Absolutely fabulous tutorial. My husband and I just started painting about a month ago. We have surfed the internet for great teachers, and you are one of the best ones we have found. Your techniques are so simple, instructions easy to follow. You give all the do's and don'ts, why's and why nots. You have helped me problems solve 3 different issues I was encountering (Gesso priming my canvases and then they got sticky, difficulty blending because I let the paint dry too much, etc.) We really enjoy your "REAL" attitude and approach to painting. You make mistakes occasionally and you point them out and tell us how to fix them. That is so invaluable. Thank you so much. We will keep watching and we will recommend you to our adult children and family.

Can you tell me exactly what brush you use for the wet part of the blending the smallest brush you use for blending? It doesn’t look like the ones on paint by Félix website

I have one request. I am a big picture person. Can you show us a picture of final painting in clear view either at the beginning or end of your videos. I view the picture or clip the picture, print it out and set it to the side so that I have it as a reference as I am working on the techniques you teach. As a beginner, I learn best by trying to imitate what I see exactly. As my skill develops, I will be able to give myself license to ease up a bit and go with the flow. But having the big picture in advance helps. All of your videos seem to be shot from a slight angle and have things in the way, like your hands or a brush or something that interferes with the entirety of the final picture. Thanks.

Any substitutes for 6 mop brushes? I like to paint for a hobby but can't afford all these specialty brushes I run into on youtube tutorials.

How much of water are you using with acrylic. Especially when applying lighter shades for blending.

I'd have to go back and watch this video again but I don't think I used any water

Can I use a black canvas?

Great question! You sure can, but 3 things to remember:
      1. If you want to use my method - you need to mix the cloud color (in this case, blue/green) with the black paint in order to blend - both the black and cloud color need to be wet.. so you'll have to paint it black anyway.
      2. The black they use on the canvas (I assume black gesso, idk?) isn't going to be the same as the black you use, so you'll be able to see the difference in the two blacks.. so again, you may need to paint it black anyway lol
      3. When painting on the lighter parts of the cloud (5:29), it'll be harder to paint over existing black than white. The results will be a much darker blue/green.
haha so.. yeah you can use black canvas, but it'll be a bit harder for you. Hope this helps :)
