Jewel orchids propagate themselves through pups or when the get long enough you can take a node cutting. Probably the easiest plant to propagate. At least the non-variegated ones are. Lovely plants Kaylee! Thanks for sharing!
The mint Monstera is really nice!
Anybody else hit pause to Google monkey puzzle tree? 😁
I'd love a cutting of the epipremnum marble, please!
Mint is GORGEOUS 😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️🤤🤤🤤🇰🇿🇰🇿🇰🇿
I Have Mint 🤩
The Epipremnum you showed at 20ish minutes I think is the Epipremnum Amplissimum Silver. I have 3 here in Aus
Definitely amplissimum
For sure is. Love them
Agreed!
I would say it might be epipremnum giganteum. Ampilissimum would have even longer leaves, I believe. But still possible!
Kaylee: "This week I have for you a shorter video..."
Video: 40 min long
(Honestly I love longer videos because I usually listen to them while I do something else and look when the plant is talked about so thank you for those!)
ALSOOO LOVE THE MONSTERA BUT I KNOW HOW EXPENSIVE IT IS...
I do the same thing I watch her videos at work and glance while I can at the important bits. I always look forward to her uploads but I wish she uploaded more cause I think I've seen all her videos 3-4 times at this point 🤣😅
@@connor4722 I KNOW RIGHT 😂
I love the Mint Monstera 💓! Very cool and interesting updates and haul.🤩😍🤩😍! Love White Monstera as well. 💖. Thank you for this early video 🥰😘
I for one, love your exotic ginger / cabbage plant. I’m a sucker for unique variegation, not sure why I find white variegation kind of boring. 🙊
Definitely LOVE the mint and my goodness, is that one perfect specimen!! I do think it’s more sellable being small form. I, for one, would love to grow one at some point!
Hello there, just a thought 💭 on the Monkey Tree, why not donate it to a botanical tree garden 🪴 where it would truly live it’s best life ever?! And maybe more can be propagated. Just a thought 🧐
Great idea, this would make so much sense.
I love that thought!
This was exactly my thought once she was ready for it to be in its forever spot.
I literally came to the comment section to say this! Leave it in your will to your fav botanical garden where it will always be cared for!
This is a great idea!!! I know you must have spent a fortunate on it but this is probably the most assured way to ensure it is well looked after, people get to enjoy it and noone is going to just chop it off when you leave.
I am seriously considering trading out my really tall Monstera D with my Raphorodora Tetrasperma just for the ease in moving it when needed. The leaves are just as appealing to me with the fenestrations and holes.. I LOVE the large plants too but at 73 it is just getting way to hard to physically manage them when it comes to washing and repotting as needed etc. Also so many of my more upgraded plants are getting larger and I would like room to keep all of them. And for me just growing the plants from small young plants into large beauties is the fun part of having plants.
I think an official greenhouse would take great care of that tree someday!
I love plant updates
We have monkey puzzle it’s going to reach great heights in your lifetime Kaylee. Mines reached 20 ft already over the last 20 years !!! The top could just be young growth as it’s lighter .being variegated will be slower I’m sure but should still put in a decent size 🥰. I would donate to Kew Gardens or Similar collection as you will know it’s in good hands 🙌 xx
Yes! My idea exactly about donating it (or selling, we all know these are quite costly, and business is business 😉) to Kew Gardens - they would take perfect care of it and I'm sure they would display it in a proper manner ❤️
Kaylee the sizes/forms of Monstera deliciosa are not binary. In the 1977 revision of the genus Madison shows significant diversity of individuals in the species. Large and small are probably the ones most commonly commercially cultivated, but a poor description of what actually exists in the species. It wouldn’t be surprising for a cross of these forms to result in individuals like this with some characteristics of each, or intermediate characteristics.
As you pointed out, a “large form” at this maturity and leaf size would have a ruffled geniculum and secondary fenestrations. Yet the leaves are very big for a small form, and again the ruffled geniculum is absent. It doesn’t fit what we expect for either form-because it probably isn’t.
Totally agree. Great info.😊
This may be out of date just 2 years later with Monstera tacanaensis being accepted by at least some. Part of the evidence was it not producing intermediate forms when growing next to a large form deliciosa in a botanical garden
@@englishmuffinpizzas Only just saw this. Can you explain the second part of your comment beginning with "not producing intermediate forms" ? Why would the plant its growing next to matter? Producing via seed? Can hardly rule something out that hasn't been directly pollinated. I've read about tacanaensis and find it very interesting, but nevertheless there is a LOT of variation within this 1 (or 2) species. Often what we see in cultivation is just a very small subset of what exists in the gene pool.
The mint monstera is gorgeous. I was under the impression that there was no such thing as you'd mentioned that in some of your previous videos? But it's really beautiful!
I was wondering the same thing about the mint.
Hi! I'm not psychic and I don't have more info than you do but heres a recap of my understanding; Kaylee has been outspokenly against florida ghost mint, and has previously mentioned that she doubts the validity of monstera adansonii mint. I believe at the time she was talking about the indonesian varigated variety, whose varigation is extremely speckly and does resemble some viruses (this was awhile ago and its been since tested negative), and she never said that it wasn't real she just expressed her disinterest. Also Kaylee does sometimes buy things in to 'try them out' and I think this is one of those instances. I think, if she found that it was extremely unstable she probably would not sell cuttings for the full price that they go for (again, this is a guess since I can't tell the future).
Jewel orchid was lovely. Could you put her in your Biorb? It’s like all the other orchids.. likes high humidity and low light. Never heard of variegated jewel orchids before, but assume propagation is thru cuttings, like aroids
Why do you say ruffle when there is a term for it? Geniculum.
I really like the Mint Monstera, I kinda like it more than the Thai Monstera!
Hello Kaylee! Believe your jewel orchid is either Anoectochilus roxburghii or Anoectochilus siamensis - Pink Gold. I couldn't tell if it has much pink on it or not. It will be easy to prop. The nodes can grow almost like runners and then pop up around the mother plant. Just take a node cutting and plant up in Sphag. or w/e media U are using for mother. Very easy to grow and bloom compared to regular Orchids.😁Your Ginger is stunning! The pink on the variegation doesn't disappoint. 💜Your mint Monstera is stunning!!!! Can see why you're sad about cutting it but know it's investment. Think the leaf size is perfect & much more manageable. Loved the Colocacia babies are 🤗 All your plants are amazing & don't disappoint. Hope you are feeling better from the Cove. Stay well.💜
I also immediately thought roxbhurghii, such a stunningg variegate!
Your scindapsus sp borneo looks like an scindapsus coriaceus. 🤔 I am not a Fan of the "mint" monstera. 😅 I love the Monstera Albo, and for me, its the Beauty of Beautys 🥰
OMG....DON"T CUT IT!!!!!!! Take it home and live happily ever after.
Jeweled orchids are super easy to propagate. Just stick a node in damp moss and it will root. They are tough little plants. I found one behind one of my shelves last week. It hadn’t been watered in who knows how long. It had 3 huge bloom stalks and little pups popping out all around the orchid pot. Mine of course aren’t variegated but I would think they are all similar.
Absolutely love this plant! But my big question... HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY???? I know they're crazy expensive (at least here in the usa.) You asked if we think it is worth the price but we don't know how much you paid! 😝
That variegated jewel orchid is insanely beautiful! The lily white with the milk chocolate brown is absolutely amazing.
I watch all youtube videos on 1.5 speed cause I cant be bothered but I always watch Kaylees on normal speed cause I dont want them to end
Ma'am...we are all size queens here, don't worry. You're in good company lol Big plants ftw!
I think your jewel orchid might be a macodes sanderiana. The leaves look too round to be a ludisia 🙂
thanks for this video. gave me motivation to check on all my plants. Have not really cared for them properly the last month amd they deserved some more attention
The Mint is absolutely gorgeous! Yes I agree it’s a shame to cut it but we all know you will make the best of it! 💚
Not a fan of the Monstera Mint, I prefer the Monstera Aurea :)
Lol
„Was ist das?“
Do you speak german Kaylee?
The "borneo" scindapsus looks a lot like epipremnun amplissimum!
epipremnum giganteum silver look at this one!
Epipremnum marble is a variegated R. tetrasperma dupe.
That reminds me of an epipremnum amplissimum but I don’t own one so I can’t say for sure!
That reminds me of of a hosta! 🤣🤷🏻♀️🤙🏼
Ok the mint is stunning but what I have to know is where did you get that little jewel orchid. I have been searching the internet fruitlessly for 12 hours!!
Thats definitely not a small form mint. at least in my opinion... all my small form deliciosas, and I've got many of them, have tons of double fenestration at this size. I think it's a large form that wants a little more light, hence bigger internodial spaces and double fenestration yet. I've once bought a Thai Constellation (which obviously is only available as large form) that had the same internodial space as your mint :) it was kept in low light.
But I've also heard that there might be another "form" of deliciosa somewhere between small and large form, which this could fit into.
The "Epipremnum Marble" looks pretty much like a Snow Queen to me....just more mature than they usually are :)
Those are actually two different plants, the marble Queen is a cultivar of the Aureum but Epipremnum marble is a newish cultivar of Pinnatum! They fenestrations look a bit different from each other as well as the leaf shape
I know they are two different plants, but I agree with you. They loom nearly identical. Idk if you've ever seen a poled marble queen, but they are quite stunning once the leaves mature.
I’m dying for that variegated chiapense 🤤🤤
And the variegated jewel orchid. Alot of dying going on here xD
Im by no means a jewel orchid expert but I do have a ludisia discolor and i dont think it looks a lot like that one.The colour and pattern makes me think more of a Macodes petola jewel orchid. But my ludisia is shitty and has been kiving in water way longer than it should 👀. But its not dying 😂.

With the puzze4l tree you should donate it to a historic/ established/protected Arberitum. I have seen plants in arberitums here in the states that are 200 years old .
Question - is mint type variegation less inclined to burn, brown & wither like pure white variegation? I don’t typically like mint variegation. But that plant is incredibly beautiful. I haven’t sprung for any variegated monstera because I have a zero tolerance for the ugly browning that happens so easily, especially with such an expensive plant. But I might consider a mint monstera if it was as striking as this one & less inclined to turn brown
The browning on variegated Monstera is usually because the plant is in a substrate that’s too heavy. Plants will excrete water through their leaves when there is too much and the green parts are much more resilient to this process than the white parts. I keep all of my Albos in almost entirely bark with other chunky bits and have had almost zero browning since making the switch. But also yes, the mint parts of my albos are much more resilient then the white parts. Mint monstera deliciosa go for a lot more money than albos (like 10x - 20x the price) so if a plant in the quadruple digits doesn’t sound appealing, then an albo or Thai is still probably your best bet. Keep them in a super chunky substrate in some nice bright indirect light and they will do great. Maybe choose a plant with more marbled color rather than sectoral pieces.
@@PlantFriendDownTheStreet Hi Darrylin - glad to see you here. You're channel is one of my top three favourite plant channels. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us. Sending lots of love and appreciation.
Wow!! What a gorgeous Mint Monstera! 😍😍 It would be so hard too cut it, just keep it Kaylee!! 🥰
I just got a Mint Monstera as well! So in love with its thick leaves!
I am obsessed with the monstera mint!! 😍😍😍😍😍 I have the albo and the thai and the aurea now I need a mint 😭❤️🔥
Its so funny to hear young people say, "years" and mean like two or three years! I guess technically, two or three is more than one but...IDK Ive always thought of it as a saying to mean, "a much longer time than just a couple of years". Maybe its just me or the evolution of the language.
I live variegation that is spread out, I don't feel the half moon leaves... I love leaves like the original couple on the syngonium
Gosh, I can’t hold myself back from variegated monsteras, they’re just so beautiful and I can’t wait to grow my collection with them ! Variegated mint is very out of reach for me right now, I think it will take me a few years to be able to afford it but I’m hopeful I’ll be able to get a leaf or two someday ! Great video as always Kaylee ^^
I was wondering when you said "was ist das". Did you lern german or do you have any german roots? 😲
I learned a little bit of German in school! But I must admit I've forgotten most of it now 🤣 same with French!
Oh yes the Deliciosa mint - what a stunner!! I have changed my mind a bit on mint recently, I likes it now haha! And the chiapense...stunner!! The ginger is extremely pretty, what's not to love there!
I love the Epipremnum Marble! I'm a huge fan of Epi's, Marble Queen, Pinnatum and Tetrasperma so it is HIGH up on my wish list. Glad to see someone not right away shitting on it. 😅
That jewel orchid is so beautiful- I can not find anything similar online :-(
It literally breaks my heart to hear people talk of cutting their plants.
Im addicted to Monstera albo before, then now to Monstera Aureas, then... hopefully a Monstera mint if its affordable soon. :P
KAYLEE!! First of all, you’re amazing and love your videos so much!! Second, what is the type of mint monstera you have??? This is my dream monstera and want to know what to look for!!! Is it Mint Noid?? Ocean Mint??? Yours is different than the standard Spearmint colored one I keep seeing. I’m in love. I want the darker spots and that beautiful blueish green hue
In the PNW (I’m in Oregon) Monkey Puzzle trees grow really well. We have them all over and some are absolutely MASSIVE. Hopefully you’ll be able to find a home where it can grow to it’s fullest potential.
Loving the early video opportunity 🤩 can’t seem to get enough of your content, sending love from Turkey! Hoping one day i can get a plant from you 🌞🥰
That monstera mint is my ABSOLUTE wish list plant 😍😍😍
😍 That Monstera Mint is GORGEOUS!!!! I need one!!!
I Have 😁
That mint Monstera is an absolute stud, almost reminds me of Thai constellation variegation on steroids. I love it so much, I hope they end up being much more affordable some time in the future
That jewel orchid looks like bird feathers and I'm in love! 🪶
Didn't you say in previous videos that the monstera mint is unstable, overrated, and you don't get the hype?
She gives opinion and has every right to change her mind just like she has for other plants too, she could be getting it to see how the variegation holds up or for research like she did with the pink Congo, so just enjoy it and know that opinion changes and people have the right to do that
It is unstable in the way it can revert to green. What I meant by "stable" in this video was that the "mint" colouring appeared to be stable across the plant I.e the plant didn't break into 3 cellular layers of variegation.
I also said in the video something to the effect of "you know my opinion on mint stuff guys, but I have to say that seeing this in person - I really like this".
I also go on to say that I probably wouldn't be as impressed if it wasn't such a large specimen.
All in all my opinion hasn't changed a whole lot really other than this particular specimen is indeed very impressive in person.
@@KayleeEllenOfficial Alrighty, enjoy :)
It would be nice to see the mint next to the albo, next to the aurea just to compare the colours and patterning.
I dont have *this* Kaempferia, but I have one and I will tell what I know and dont know about it.
It will certainly die in winter. The root (usually dark colored, dont take it for a roting one) will go dormant until the sping. In spring it will bloom and then produce new leaves that shingle on the soil.
I have read different thiingsbabout It. Many species looks like Marantha but are supposed to be much easier to care fore yet very difficult to find outside of tropical Asia (where it's cultivated as food).
Maybe someone *wink* can introduce the occident to this edible alternative to prayer plants.
Omg that's beautiful!! 😮😮 If love to be able to afford a minty one day! Lmao (but they're selling for like £300 for a baby plant at the moment in the UK! 🤦♀️ And that's... Just not gonna happen! Haha 😂😂) x
I Have Monsfera Mint Noid and large form , Acacoyagensis variegated, Lechleriana Variegated,Egregia Aurea Sunset,Monstera Yellow Marylin 🙉🙉
Look at that queen getting paid with sponsored videos so she can buy our dream plants 🌿 that mint monstera is completely nuts. I always liked the mint deliciosa more than the Thai and this just confirms it. What an absolutely stunning plant. Such a wishlist plant
Anyways, I hope horse and home stuff is going alright for you these days 😁
it was quite a treat seeing you pull out this big beautiful monstera mint after I just watched your other video on over-rated plants and you included it!😄 Glad the plant changed your mind! 💚🌿
Your mint looks like Borsiagina×deliciosa and it's not 100℅ deliciosa
I really love epipremnum, and I really like all plants with fizzy varigation
💚
Thats a macodes something.
Most beautiful mint monstera I ever seen, I saw in London shop for 119 pounds 3 small leafs Thai mint monstera. Maybe I have to buy, if it’s gonna look like this
Thank you for sharing the update on your monkey puzzle tree! ☺️☺️☺️ shes sooo cute!!
Plant updates are the best updates! 😍
Love the longer videos and seeing all your babies!!! 🙌🙌
Hi. Love your channel ❤️ Can you do an update on all your Monstera Deliciosa please 😊. Thank you!!
hi so beautiful god bless you 💖,,,can you sale this monstera variegated just one leaf just one please 🙏 I want just one for long time please I live in New York 🙏 just let me know please how much I can pay you 😊 🙏
Don't plant manufacturers own the rights to new plants for a certain amt of time? I ran across a warning on the internet as I was looking at plants, & had never seen such a thing. So propagating would be a no-no. True? Different in every country? Only if u get caught??
Kaylee, I checked your website , but u sold out all plants , just wanna check about the monstera mint and the price .
Gorgeous plants. Wonder if you have a Calathea Warscewiczii...a truly beautiful, large, velvety leaf specimen....it needs higher humidity and moderate light. Would like to see your take on it.
Kaylee Ellen had a massive, beautiful specimen when she first started the channel. Features in her favourite 5 big houseplants then
What does everyone reckon to the variegated silver sword?
Just recently saw someone selling an "Ocean Mint" Monstera Deliciosa. Is there really such a thing?
The "was ist das?" caught me really off guard. Greetings from Germany ♥
When she said large plants are what her her goin, idk why my first thought was “ooook! She likes her a black king”
Omg I’m in LOVE 😍 with the Sumatra!!!! ❤️🪴❤️
So my big question on the monstera mint is, is this a "Noid". Which therefore is a true monstera mint from what I'm hearing
You could always donate the variegated monkey puzzle tree to a garden or botanical garden ? Surely one of ‘em might accept it?
Oh, this always reminds me of the first bubble in capitalism with bulbs^^^
Hey, can someone please explain me difference between epipremnum marble and marble queen. I just don't seem to understand it 😕
I like the cabbage looking one. The Monstera Mint is beautiful, too.
Would anyone know if a mint adansonii is real? I'm always paranoid of getting one with a disease but where I am there are a lot of people selling mint adansoniis that are really gorgeous
I see you're not using plant soil SORRY I'm a new plant mommy
@33:35, does that mean it could possibly be a mint borsigiana and not a deliciosa???
My garden center actually had monkey puzzle trees trees that were 6ft so crazy to see! I have never seen one in person until then
Anyone know if monstera mint’s variegation is permanent or there’s a chance of it reverting, tempted to get one haha
For the Monstera Mint- they’re actually not large form or small form! That’s why they are commonly called Monstera Mint NoID. I notice they have larger leaves than small form but deeper fenestrations - almost like a Brazilian Common or Sierrana - and no secondary fenestrations (at least for awhile).
They are truly the coolest plant. Idk if you’ve noticed, but their leaves are thicker and a deep, dark green (on the non-variegated portions). The mint is really stable and if you can get all-white leaves they really don’t brown easily. I have an all white Mint NoID and it hasn’t browned in almost three years ❤️
Are you sure in regards to large form versus small form? I heard they're definitely was a difference. I think it's always harder at a more juvenile stage, but people are selling these tissue cultures as large form interesting...
Where can I buy a monstera mint cut in italy or Switzerland?
Have you transferred them to leca or were they bought in it thankyou
