- In this video I demonstrate how to repair the subwoofer on a SAAB 9-5, using my 1999 9-5 station wagon as an example. This method should work for all 1997-2002 wagons, and possibly later ones as well. The kit I used came from speakerworks.com, part number SWK65. I am not sponsored by or endorsing that particular product, just sharing that it was the one that I used.
This method should work if the sub is functional, but the foam is perished - Авто та транспорт
Now thats hard job man. But since I have to go thru too I must say thank you for video...
Thank you for watching, hopefully this proves helpful when you go about the process. It’s been a bit of time since I’ve done this repair and it still sounds great, I think you’ll be pleased
Well done video, thank you very much!!! I just discovered that the subwoofer in my '04 Arc wagon sounds like it needs to be refoamed (kid's car, no report of a problem...).
Is the subwoofer cone paper or plastic? Do you recall which type of adhesive you bought from Speakerworks? Thanks!
I believe it is plastic, and the adhesice comes with the kit. Fairly easy job
Hey man, great video. How is the repair holding up 2 years later?
So far so good! Still sounds great yet!
Would this also fix a low bass? I turned the bass all the way up but in the front i almost can't hear it.
It's possible. But you definintely will not have proper bass if your sub looks like mine did
Can’t seem to find a link to what kit you ordered and from whom.

So question: the 4 wires that feed the sub. They are grey, green/black, red/black, and white/black. Which one is right+, right-, left+, left-?
I don’t know. Let’s see if anyone else can chime in
Does anyone know this answer yet? Lol
