I can't believe I understand all of Coney's 10 added tiers after like 2 minutes of existing. I honestly think all these tiers are needed to get his point across better. Like, how else would you describe Ultimate Villager other than "in the wrong game".

They did my boy so dirty, it actually hurts. He's still cool though. (Lowkey I think Sakurai was scared of how big Ridley would have to be, and so I think he intentionally made him bad just to make sure he wouldn't be a problem)
I think terry is such a fun hype character because hearing him say “are you okay!?” and sending your ass flying is so incredibly funny

The stream are genuinely so much better than watching the UA-cam videos and then going back and watching the videos is just like a highlights to laugh at
I always kind of laugh when I think about Pit's existance in Smash. He's an honest character with fundamentals up against characters who can kill you at 60, characters who get rewarded for losing, characters with wild gimmicks that can change a match, and characters with a 5.99 price tag (also known as the "all of the above" characters).
In smash brawl, it was meta knight's world and pit was just living in it.
In smash 4, he was mid in a game where anyone below top 10 was feeding on scraps and the best were jankily broken
In smash ult, he's good in a game that powercreeped him out of high tier and into mid by characters that cost money.
Pit is just the average man; fuedal, medieval and modern.
For that reason I always dread going against a Pit player, because they *will* be indignant about how they're honest and you're not. Bro, click another character, please.
I've seen broken Pit mains. In Smash 4 one was out to call Roy the worst character in the game because he couldn't handle the comparisons, even labbed Roy to "deconfirm" stuff, to somehow make Pit look better. Wonder how he did when Ult Roy became a thing and Pit was still Pit.
That said, I did play the E3 Smash 4 Pit. Best version of Pit I ever played, I understand why he got nerfed before launch.

I'd love this but with coney interspersing with little clips sometimes to showcase what he means for the people who have never seen a game of PM
If he looked at clips he would have to redo his tierlist because the characters changed

Joker is unbelievably well made....to a fault. He's almost a perfect character, he has exactly what you want for EVERY button.

I work at a liquor store in a fairly rough area of the city I live in. My manager is pretty cool with everything as long as we get the work done right so I’ve been getting to tune in to the coney streams a lot more often lately. On a particularly slow night on my own with hours left on my shift I decided to tune in and watched this live it was a great time. Thank you Coney for helping the slow days go by quicker.
21:51 I see Smash 4 Lucas in “Who Is This For?” tier. Well let me tell you.
Lucas was the character I played the most in Brawl, but I only started caring about the competitive scene at the beginning of Smash 4. Lucas wasn’t added yet, so I decided to play Mario because I heard he was a good character for beginners. That didn’t last, so for a months I would pick up a new “main” (I just learned that word so I used it a lot) every two weeks or so, drop them, and move on to the next. Everything changed when Lucas was announced. I still have a picture from 2015 of my TV with Lucas’ splash screen on it. To this day, Lucas in Smash 4 is the only dlc character I’ve genuinely been hyped for. I hadn’t played any of the other dlc characters’ games except Steve, who I didn’t want, and Mewtwo, because I didn’t know what it truly meant yet.
I watched every Taiheita set. I labbed d throw up air (but not the footstool setups because I’m bad). This character taught me how to space aerials with fair, cross up shields with nair, basically how to play the game. I poured my heart into this character.
And then Mewtwo got buffed and I comained Mewtwo Fox for the rest of the game
Ultimate puff is very fun. Also Melee puff is so fucking cool
9:22 Aah I get it, pit is like frieza in fighterz, would be snapped in any other fighting game but gets outclassed simply by the Environment he's in.
Project M has the same problem as Guilty Gear where you'll love your own character but absolutely hate every character that isn't your own because of the BS they can do.

I always thought pichu was crazy because ppl told me that at the start of ultimate and I never saw it get nerfed
Fsmash getting more lag and ftilt getting weaker were really the only nerfs that hurt him. Honestly he would've fallen off even if he weren't nerfed because of how much more there was to learn of the game. Now everyone knows their kill confirms and DLC is out. Pichu doesn't really matter anymore.
I want to see how Coney would place old Brawl Minus characters, since I know he used to play a lot back in the day when I was the director of the mod :)

Should have had a "bad but ruined the game whenever they showed up" tier for characters like Little Mac, Brawl Kirby, Brawl Sonic, and Smash 4 Wii Fit.
Steve is 100% a psyop. I do not believe for a second that they didn't know what they were creating.

How is Ult. Link "Cool but doesn't work"? Character is extremely well balanced and versatile. Best he's ever been in Smash. Ppl just refuse to learn him and only wanna look cool with bomb.

My marth opinions, as a marth player:
Ultimate Marth - in the wrong game. (probably my favorite marth iteration... but he just needs buffs he never got to compensate for the game engine changes and competition from characters that do his job better. he's only worth it as a counterpick in ult, and that sucks. Oh, and no moves should be negative on hit literally ever, looking at you weakhit rising fair and weakhit ftilt (until 20%))
Smash 4 marth - Fine. (jab1 combos are stupid)
Melee marth - Well made. (Definitely not my preference of marth, but solid design)
Brawl marth - Perfect. (A brawl where characters are balanced around his power level with less cheesy grab stuff is a brawl I'd play)
Also, smash 4 falco was the DEFINITION 'in the wrong game'. Just look at Ultimate. He got more moves nerfed than buffed going into ultimate, by far, and most of the buffs weren't that meaningful, and yet he's a SIGNIFICANTLY better character because of the core game differences.

Loved the Kung Pow reference!!! 😂😂😂😂 I can't agree though with Terry and Mega Man. Mega Man's fight style just fucking sucks regardless if it's Smash 4 or Ultimate. And that's coming from a Mega Man fan too! If you can't control or play as Terry, then I guess you haven't played old school fighting games from his era, because I can pull off moves with him like it's nothing.
come on! yoshi is at least decently fun to play in smash ultimate like kirby. I mean you wouldn't go to tournament with him and everyone hates you online but a good choice with friends. also when I play yoshi I have never used N air, if that was toned down people wouldn't be so harsh I think. yoshi I feel could be surprisingly complex to play if it weren't for N air.

After picking up wolf, I can say coney was 100% right. They pretty much fulfill the same function as brawl marth, no match-up is unwinnable, and despite being top tier, they're sick as hell and not painful to play as or against
