ive never gone to an event where afterwards someone asked denny’s or ihop. doesn’t matter the event. tournament, party, or concert. everyone ends up at the waffle house.

Personally, im going with IHOP. I think Denny's is ok, but i personally feel that IHOP's food tastes better. I personally feel like IHOP is a good breakfast place while Denny's is more of a place where you go just because you know it will be pretty empty or because your drunk/hungover. But idk. I usually just make my own breakfast 🤷♂️

When I saw the video I KNEW that Coney would make a video about it. He’s a huge brawl nerd, he’s been in the smash scene for years and would probably have a lot to say about some niece topic, and he probably saw the video immediately in the first minute of its upload.
Also the fact that there was one IHOP commentator and one Denny’s commentator reminded me of when coney commentated at that one Virginia vs Maryland tourney with a Virginia commentator.

dude when i saw this video i knew it was a matter of time
one time i got a call from deny's (i havent been to deny's since like 2012, and this happened about 2 years ago) and i answered very cautiously because i couldnt think of anything that they would possibly wanna say to me. i answer, it sounds like this middle-aged lady that you would see in a diner in a 90s movie. she says theres a table available for my supposed party of 4. i say "i never asked for a table, im not even at the restaurant and havent for 10 years", all she could reply with was this sassy-ass retort: "listen, i know you probably think this is funny- it's really not" and she just hangs up.
i was so confused, and ever since then, i vowed never to eat at deny's ever again since this random employee just spit in my face over a 20 second phone call.

Denny’s, IHOP and yes Waffle House are kind of all varying levels of shite depending on location but all pretty much 4/10 diners. The beauty of the debate is the fact that theyre literally basically the exact same and it’s hilarious how everyone gets so passionate about something so pointless. Love them all for that

I can’t have an unbiased opinion on Denny’s because I’ve been told Denny’s is bad for as long as I can remember. I could tell it was a bit, but I played into the bit and have only been to Denny’s like twice because of it.
On the other hand, I’ve been to IHOP a fair amount and I’m a fan. Getting an omelette with a side of three buttermilk pancakes is a great deal. I can’t compare it to Denny’s but I like IHOP more than Waffle House at least

It's not even fucking close it's an IHOP sweep. It's not like gourmet or anything, Waffle House sweeps both combined, but it's food you eat, it tastes good, and you don't feel it later.
Every Denny's I've been to had the nicest waiters, a better-looking place. And the most mid food ever. That you WOULD regret eating.
Plus, I'm pretty sure they were all PvP zones during times of rest, before Jarrod the Enraged would once again wreak havoc on the accursed land.
I refuse to believe anyone thinks the Waffle House food is better than IHOP or Dennys. Sure Waffle House has much cheaper cost for food and “usually” you get better service but the food itself is just not better. I can understand people preferring Waffle House because it’s cheaper but it’s crazy to hear anyone say the food is objectively higher quality/tastes better.
I live in Texas so I have all 3 options very close by. IHOP service sucks ass most of the time and it’s the most expensive option but I think they have the highest quality/best tasting food.
WH is like the fast food of breakfast. You get it fast, it’s not very expensive, and it’s on the lower end of quality. If that’s what you are looking for then go for it. If you looking to go eat breakfast with your family then idk what you guys in particular would choose but it’s probably not WH, it’s probably something like Ihop or Denny’s

I actually hate dennys from a one time experience going with my grandma at 10 years old. I asked the waiter for a fried egg (pour egg in pan like sunny side up, but then break the yolk while in the pan a bit) and he did not understand. He gave me sunny side and I hated that so I sent it back and I got scrambled.
On the other hand ihop is awesome, they just did a sonic collab which was funny but I love the breakfast combo with Tres Leches pancakes
Denny’s is an enigma; the only time as an adult anyone has ever tried to fight me was at a Denny’s, and yet it also has the best nacho’s I’ve ever had outside of Los Angeles. The only thing you could ever knock Denny’s for was not having eggs benedict, but when I went a few months ago they were on the menu and honestly pretty sick. IHOP shouldn’t hang its head, it lost to the king.
I've been to Denny's like 200 times over the course of my life. Mostly from my friends wanting to go because it was close to the locals we played MtG at, and it was actually open unlike iHop closing at fuckin 8 or some shit, the only iHop near me does anyways. Conversely, I've been to iHop twice because my parents wanted to go.
We don't go to iHop anymore. My parents will tolerate some bullshit, but they straight up swore off iHop a few years ago.
I'm team Denny's in part because of nostalgia and bias, sure, but man both times I went to iHop it was garbage. It was us and like 4 other families and it still took forever to get my blueberry pancakes. Meanwhile since I frequented Denny's so often and so late, the night manager knew me by name and when our group would arrive they'd already have some of our usual orders ready to fly. Fried cheese melt was fuckin 1,800 calories or some awful shit like that, but I won't ever cap - that shit was amazing every time. Or a sampler with some chicken strips, mozzarella sticks, and maybe a cheese quesadilla? Incredible value meal. Pancake Puppies were next level with a milkshake to wash em down with. Unlimited pancakes for $4?? Bro you go in at 8 and leave at 2 after 8 plates of pancakes and sleep like a bear.
God I miss being able to go to Denny's at like 9 and chill with the boys until 3. I really didn't know what I had. Waffle House is where I conned my friends into playing Yugioh with me which they still do to this day so I'll say Waffle House is the mf goat.
To get as autisticly technical about this as I reasonably can, I think the tier list is a solid
Waffle House
Denny's
iHop
and I think this because the tier above has something better to offer than the tier below. iHop is a baseline but they close at like 9. Denny's is better because it has an insane value menu and is also open 24 hours across the board unlike iHop having closing times sprinkled around their stores. Waffle House is above Denny's because it is also 24 hours, but you also only have to drive for 3 minutes in any direction to see one. The places that do have Waffle House have them in absolute abundance, and nothing beats a good old fashioned All Star Slam at 2:30am, with a JUKEBOX! idk I feel like Denny's is just objectively superior to iHop in every possible way. Maybe it's 100% bias, maybe it's because I just got a bad dice roll when I went in iHop and it's way better than I'll ever know, but based on experience I'm team Denny's. Waffle House unbeatable though.
