I’m still trying to come up with a name for this project. The race car we call the ‘Honey Badger’ and I really like the name Menace or Tyrant - but Tim Cameron already has those names for his rock bouncers - so what do you all think?
Can’t wait to see this build. Okay hear me out. Peanut butter falcon. You already have a honey badger. Hayabusa means falcon. moral of The Peanut Butter Falcon? The Peanut Butter Falcon is the story of success, never giving up, and soaring above the limits others impose upon you. Or, maybe, it's the story of compromise, listening to others, and learning hard lessons. A story of someone with disabilities who can overcome difficulties. I think the name fits, lol. It might not be an intimidating name but it fits.
isnt the stock canam x3 engine and torque higher than the hyabusa engine stock already? 200/135 to 190/110 on the hyabusa. seems like alot of work and fabrication to essentially have less power than you could have with a stock rr x3. very curious to see how it works out. might be more worth it to build a lighter chasis for the hyabusa engine and keep the canam with original engine?
It is yes - BUT the plan is to add boost and I want to make it paddle shifted. Basically I had the idea 4 years ago before the tree/shop fiasco and then the Mav R basically is my idea lol but I think it’ll still sound sick and be a fun project :)
@thejourneyretold got it, it is definitely a sick project. not trying to discourage in any way was just curious. being able to manually shift gears will be sick also.
@cjcallen5974 oh for sure man - I know it’s seems weird, but what’s in my head will be sick. Look up a radical SR3, basically I want that same paddle shift setup and autoblipper so I can shift gears. I think an X3 on 35’s 80” wide with 300hp and paddle shifter will be badass…too bad Can-Am beat me to my own idea! lol In all seriousness tho - trying to think of a project name, so if you have any ideas, post them up!

High maintenance
Can’t wait to see the outcome
Same here man! I hope it’s half as cool in reality as it is in my head! lol
Very cool
Dude I love you 4 seater build - I put a carbon dash in my race car because of your video! lol
In for this! 🤘
You know it man!

That’s a good one!
They have logged belts for high horse power wood chippers and they take a ton of punishment, might be something to chek into...
Good thinking
Are you interested in selling the engine out of it? I just lost a cylinder on my x3. Got bad E85 fuel
No going to hold onto it, but thank you for checking!
