I dont think there is anything that can beat a 10k+ rpm engine in a car, thats like the best driving experience you can get. I'd rather have this than any of these 1 million euros cars, they just dont have a soul

Apart from that the bone stock look makes it indeed look like a cute little sheep. At the traffic lights you can't really see the wheels when you are side by side, or look at the ride height. So the person who would challenge this oldie would be in for a VERY rude awakening. Personally I wish we had more sleepers being sold from factory. Cars that look average but had a little something extra under the hood.

The p6 was/is a really cool car (btw, stock rwd). When I swapped a 4A-GE engine, I pissed off many BMW's, GTI's, Manta's and many other - pure fun! 160 HP on ~700 kg makes a good sleeper and it never gets boring.

I certainly love hearing some Suzuki power over a warm cup of coffee, delightful way to start my day. Solely have ridden Suzuki bikes for over a decade, no bike I’d rather ride and the Hayabusa is still one helluva beast to this day and abnormally comfortable for what it is, a hyper bike.

I have wanted to make a similar project car for a few years now. What did you use for a rear axle? And clutch setup? Is the stock motorcycle clutch pack strong enough to hold up with the weight of the car? Even though the car is light when talking about cars, but is much much heavier than a motorcycle.

What are the advantages of putting this motor in a starlet rather then a 4age? Power output seems to be at a slight advantage with a 4age blacktop, rev limit is safe around 9k but definitely more torque. Weight? I don't get this swap.
junekowsky onez weight and cost. This engine and gearbox weighs about 80kg, 4age with t50 gearbox is around 150kg. So this also help weight distribution, this car is 51/49 front to rear weight distribution. Cost for this engine and gearbox $3k, worked 4age that makes 200hp, $10,000k+ and gearbox $2k.
kinetic static ?? Don't follow you? 400hp in a 900kg car is a fast car in anyone's standard. 400 in a car weighing 1600kg won't stand a chance. Engine first then weight reduction done right can end up creating a nice quick car.
It's a Suzuki motorcycle engine. It works like most motorcycle transmissions. It's six speed, constant mesh with a wet, multiplate clutch. It has gear primary drive and chain final drive. The engine and gearbox oil are shared. The engine on the Suzuki Hayabusa is an inline 4 cylinder, 16 valve, mounted transversly, that is, across the frame. The primary drive is from the centre of the crank shaft to keep the engine narrow. The gearbox mainshaft and lay shaft use a series of sliding gears and dogs operated by shift forks and slots in a shift drum. Constant mesh means the gears remain engaged but the dogs move in and out of engagement with slots in the gear body. It is easier to visualise if you google motorcycle gearbox or look at an animation on UA-cam. The Hayabusa Gearbox is nothing special technically but is very robust and reliable to tolerate the high power and torque of the Hayabusa motor. Tuners often put 400 HP through the Hayabusa transmission via turbo charging without significant problem providing the clutch plates and springs are beefed up. In this car the engine is mounted longitudinally and it has a tail shaft and differential. Japan is part of Asia so there would be a shit load of used Hayabusa engines there. Don't know what the cost would be to export/import. Do you have restriction on Google. Why can't you look information up?

did anyone note this is is not a standard gearbox but a constant mesh. The driver can shift faster than normal.

I wonder if it needs a higher diff ratio. Seemed to need a gear change before it had a chance to stretch it’s legs.
