- This video is in response to mr. Ying ye. One of my viewers of my previous video. This video explains how to disable your vehicles VDC Vehicle Dynamics Control which is Subarus version of electronic stability control or stabilitrak as chevrolet calls it. Its a feature that helps prevent your vehicle from entering an out of control slide/spinout etc. Disabling this also disables the vehicles traction control, Anti lock braking, hill assist and cruise control.
great video thanks for taking the time. i just got my impreza and i was bummed when the vdc kicked on in the gravel with tc off..
I have a manual forester (14) and so glad i come across this video definitely will be helpful for me.
Daniel George. You are my savior
Works great on my 2012 Suabru Impreza 2.0L Manual, thanks!
Thank you so much bro you’re a genius
Thanks bro. I bought a 2016 forester with CVT trans. I find out if I do this to my car. It will lock the transmission as you said. But the car still can do some power sliding on snow with VDC off. Thanks again for making this video.
So, if I just push the traction control button once, I should be able to whip some donuts? Man coming from a GM car, this is pathetic. GM one push of the button turns off TC fully, then hold it again for 7 seconds disables everything but ABS, which cannot be disabled unless you pull a fuse. From my understanding when you push the TC button on my Subaru it removes engine suppression but still runs tire braking for traction. Yet does it disable the stability control function, confusing?
@@kartboarder22g17 on my 2015 Forester it still uses ABS, will do throttle cuts/limits, and will hit the brake on certain tires when it feels it needs to. It does this in the sand and its unbelievably annoying because the car handles great in it otherwise.
Do you know if this would work on a 2014 Forester cvt
thanks!
🙏
is it possible to do the same with the 2014 forester xt ??
have you done it? when i pulled mine...i lost power steering and check engine + AT oil temp etc....
