Tells it's own story Alex A special drive in you chaps to put in the miles on foot to reach productive waters often across mountain goat terrain. Thanks for the visual experience.
Hang in Alex. Keep in mind being on the water is better than working in an office. Catching a trophy trout make the day even better. Very tough river to fish as we.. you’re doing well.
It's been cold the last couple of nights here in CT, mid 30's deg F and some frost in some spots. I am laid up so I have not been fishing. The good part is well I got surgery scheduled for next week. And with luck, I will be in my Simm's G3's soon enough. Nice day today, light winds good fishing day temps in the high 60s Your winter is our summer. Good one Alex I would think that putting up the rods for a bit and take the rifle out and collect a deer or two. Venison is always a treat to have when the weather gets cold.
We all have bad days that was tough going think a lot of these fish were spooked earlier by the guy with the big footmarks still at least you never blanked the fish you had would have been a realy big fish if it was in condition great vidio as usual
Love your honesty Alex. Tough day. However, you both still got some reward for all the effort, despite the conditions. What a stunning place to visit though. How could anyone not enjoy a day on water like that?
Absolutely beautiful water and scenery. I don’t know exactly what the weather is like there, but here in North Georgia USA, it’s in the upper 50’s F in early morning and mid 80’s F by the late afternoon with high humidity which makes it feel like it’s boiling outside in the sun. Would like to know the temps there so that can feel human. I love cooler weather. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication buddy
Hiya Alex. Wow....the locations you fish in NZ are pretty special. Anyway....jumping on the back of your previous vid. Backcountry Skins, do you think they'd work over here in the uk as well? Guessing so (similar temps etc) but thought I'd ask as you have the knowledge from both countries so would be interested to hear your thought's particularly as a 'friday filler'. Ps have you ever walked in without them on and then put them on when gearing up, save marinating the man bits on the hot walkin??
Deans line-hand technique is strange, wonder how that came to be... not holding the line at all with either line or rod hand while changing line grip seems risky. But evidently it works!
great place to catch no fish, just joking, well no serious actually, it's always hard following footsteps but that's a reality, anyway another great video
There are no bad days when your fishing in such a stunning location
No need to excuse yourself Alex, any fisherman would know how hard days can be. Your videos just worth it for the sake of it!! Cheers!!!!

First time watching a video in 4k just wow, well done Alex.

Spot on commentary
Thanks for showing us the tough days too, Alex! We've all been there. Still, those were some beautiful fish. 🙌
Thanks. Another great film to help me think about my next trip home.
Thanks so much for the support bro. I appreciate you a heap!
Great perspective!
Way to hang in there. Great looking fish and awesome video. Thanks.
Great trout!! The fishing is always good. The catching, maybe not so great.

Man you are awesome, great video and when I can't go in wildenes and fishing I watch you and satisfied, all the best from Serbia
Hard days keep you humble.
Thanks Alex, still beautiful even if the numbers are thin. Never fished with a 20 foot leader/tippet before, I'm sure it takes a lot of practice.
Bangin as usual Al, next time your out do you think you could turn a few stones? Show us what the entomology is like, cheers dude.
Yeah that looked like some tough going but as always the fish you guys did catch were awesome nice work 👍 👍🤜🤛
Awesome vid again brother!
Thanks my brother 💪 Appreciate you dude
Interesting video. I saw some deep holes ans a rather swallow river. Wonder what you guys did to adjust the depth of your nymphs.
I recon that's about average for a day on a back country for me 😂 probably doing it wrong 😅 great video thanks
Awesome stuff man! How do you like hiking with the fishpond pack and waist pack?
