I'm not a gamer, just a streamer and I found this very helpful. In particular with making me more aware of the receiving end of the stream. Just because I can process and send out a large amount of data does not mean that the viewer will have the computer capability to view/hear it. So, I dialed things down a bit and this should help my viewers using older less powerful computers (I'm not streaming to a high tech crowd). Thanks!

@@JBGameplay no problem. i was confused myself at first. never had that option until i had upgraded to an rtx card. doesnt change much in the quality of the streams that ive noticed. people will just see what you see while gaming(sun beams, extra shadows, etc)

I have a question. I've been trying to stream to youtube trying many different settings on 1080p 60fps, but my stream quality always looks bad when theres movement. I'm using 6000 bitrate. I have an rtx 3080 and an intel i9. I also have 12 upload speed. I'm using the same settings in the video (except for bitrate and quality) I don't understand what's wrong. Please help/

uhh when I did a speed test with speedtest.net it said I have 1 ping, 750.07 Mbps download speed, and 933.10 Mbps upload speed, do you think thats good enough...?
So if I'm using an Elgato HD60S to stream, I should use the Hardware encoding option in order to use the Elgato HD60s to encode instead of the software option which uses my laptop's CPU? My laptop has these specs: Intel (R) Core(TM) i7-7500U CPU @ 2.7Ghz 2.90Ghz 16GB RAM 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Im using Streamlabs and elgato but i always skipped frames i dont know why is it possible with the internet connection? I have also good gaming pc and good capture card

I came here for something else but needed to know about this in particular, the settings/set up, I got a new SSD card i have to install, so if i export my overlay its settings everything ive done thus far, & save to an external HDD, will that all be saved? (will back up sound files etc etc ) but basically will it keep my settings as far as my labels, color schemes, overlay (from own3d) and anything i've edited since import, & be able to import it once i've reinstalled everything? if that makes sense? lol btw thank you so much for your videos, you have no idea how helpful you have been.

Great Video enplanes an lot but however do you have an video explaining what settings should be if you are using 3400*1440 for 1080P streaming, I changed my base canvis and now all my stream adjustments are out of wack...
For anyone with a Ryzen CPU and NVIDIA GPU (like a Ryzen 5000 9 and a 2070 RTX) the option "AMD" AND "NVENC" are both available does this mean the workload would be placed on the CPU? Hi , I have a macbook pro , i7 , 16gb ram and still before going live my CPU is going to 40% , don't want to tell you when I start the streaming 😆 . My internet is somewere 40mb/s and upload around 28 mb/s . Is it anything to change that ? Cheers
I don't have an amd card to test with, but what I hear the most is that the amd version of nvenc is pretty bad and then x264 on very fast is just as good. So test out what works/looks best with your specific pc
Can you explain the downscale better? You selected lanczos but why? Mine is defaulted on Bicubic. I'm setting up for 1080p @60 fps and 6000 kbps. (RTX 2070 Super + Ryzen 3700x)
My download mbps is 898.21 and my upload mbps is 41.92, so what setting can I use to stream with can you let me know so I can put it on my streamlabs settings and I followed all your steps in it was so simple and easy thanks you are the best and I did everything.

Thank you! This helped out a lot, but i just a question. When i put the output mode to simple, my recordings got a lot better. The quality was really bad when i had it on advanced, but once i tried to switch to simple, it looked much much better. Do you know why that happens?

My upload speed is 53mbps and I get maximum 2500kbps on streamlabs obs. Why?
@@trendingmilk maybe you've set your bitrate for slobs at 2500 in the settings? It only uses as much as you tell it to use.

Set you base canvas back to your monitor res
Right click on the screen > click transform > click fit to screen. That will fix your issue.

Add another audio output and set it to specific screens

What if we have a AMD card instead of NVIDA, do we choose the AMD option over the x264 since my processor is a ryzen 5 3600? My Cpu is a RX 580
