Not too long ago. My braces was cutting inside of my mouth. I hated it so much. I had all sores in my mouth and everything because of my braces and a wax do help a lot.
It’s difficult to floss the back. I just had a mental breakdown because of it. Had to hold myself back from ripping the braces out. Do you have any tips on how I can get the back?
Kriss ai also said that you'll have plaque buildup, tooth decay, and of course bad breath. That is why brushing and flossing properly is very important especially when you have braces!
@@ananyamohapatra4195 Try rinsing with warm saltwater several times a day. They don't really prevent sores but helps soothe and accelerate healing. Btw, what/who is kriss? 🤔
Hi I'm undergoing aligner treatment, i know that i have to brush my teeth after each meal, Do i need to brush with toothpaste or normally it is enough? Also pls give tips on how to clean the aligners and keep them clean and safe from scratches
I’m pretty sure you use toothpaste to brush your teeth after your meal. I have braces too and I don’t brush my braces after my meal because I guess I’m lazy so I just use water to swish around in my mouth lmao. I recommend to brush your teeth after breakfast so you can get the food out. It’s up to you.
You had mentioned a waterpik instead of flossing, do you reccommend using mouthwash with said waterpik? Also is a waterpik a good idea if you currently have sensitive gums? I just got my braces on today and I’m struggling with this floss! 😬
You can use regular water or mouth wash. Water is cheaper so it may be the best option. The waterpik should help reduce the sensitivity of your gums over time. There is usually a low power setting you can use while you’re getting used to the waterpik
@@PremierOrthodontics i found orajel for my cheek sensitivity, my waterpik is on the way, and in the meantime I’m using floss/mouthwash! Thank you for the tips!!!
@@PremierOrthodontics hi, can I use any mouthwash? I heard some mouthwash can damage your braces? Is that true and if so which mouthwash do you recommend i use?
is it normal for gums to be a little swollen while on braces and also when i brush sometimes it bleeds a little ,can it be because im too rough or...plx hlp
If your gums are swollen and bleeding it means that you are probably missing some areas while brushing and flossing. Swollen and bleeding gums shows that there is inflammation in your gums. The best way to get rid of the inflammation is to clean your teeth REALLY well. Try brushing them 3X a day, really thoroughly, and floss at least once a day. Keep cleaning even if you see bleeding in the gums. If you can do this consistently for about a week, the gums will heal, the inflammation will go away, and you won't get any more bleeding in your gums while brushing
They sell them to be one time use products, but if you thoroughly rinse them off and clean them after each use you can definitely use them a couple times without a problem :)
I see why most people are skinny who have braces. Every time u eat you get damn food stuck. And you eat slower. 🤣🤣 I just got braces on the second time, and I guarantee I won’t be eating any snacks or chocolates or meals I don’t have to. It’s not worth the disgusting feeling of food in your braces.
Hey docs I wanna know if I can use proxy brush instead of using floss ?? I just got my braces and my orthodontist just told me about that proxy brush not anything about flossing? Are they both the same thing??? Please reply
Proxy brushes are good tools, but we would recommend they be used in addition to floss. There are some spaces that proxy brushes can’t reach and for these areas floss would be best.
Its called a water flosser or Waterpik. You can find them on Amazon or at a local drug store (CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, etc.) They range in price a bit, but usually you can get one from $30 for a cheaper model, up to $100 for the top end models.
Waterpik works almost as well as floss. Most patients in braces don't floss at all, so a waterpik is a great option for those patients. But ideally we would recommend waterpik AND floss :)
So can we have Cheetos puffs in braces are still no and is it normal to have a lose tooth in braces because i feel like I have lose tooth with the bracket on it
That was very helpful, more helpful than my dentist advices. Thanks
Glad to hear!

Hey did we have to brush everytime we eat something??
I just got my braces on a few seconds ago so this is great, I know nothing about braces
Amazing service.... incredible experience..... thanks.....God bless you ❤️
It gets super hard when you get to the most right/left teeth on the upper jaw
Try a platypus flosser, it makes it much easier. You can find them on Amazon.

I have a question, does a regular floss has the same effectivity as the water floss?
I heard you have to brush after every meal with braces. Does that mean I’m supposed to use toothpaste? Or is my main goal to just get the food out?

No, floss, waterpik then brush
thank you this does help a lot
You're welcome!
Can i use Water pick instead of floss or do i have have to use floss
They answered this with another comment, but it can actually replace flossing though they recommend doing both
Is there a replacement to flossing because that seems like a pain.
So do you have to floss every tooth or just the ones that are the messed up most
Floss all the teeth you want to keep (so, yes all of them 👍)

Cheetos should be okay, they are pretty soft.
Regarding lose teeth, that is normal with braces and it’s nothing to be concerned about 👍
So how do I floss my back teeth or is even necessary?

Having some sensitivity is normal with braces -- but it usually gets better with time :)
Cut the wires!???😂😂
Right ?
Its not that easy when i dont have straight teeth😭its so hard please helpp
You’re right. Flossing is more difficult when your teeth aren’t aligned.
Try a waterpik, that will usually help when flossing is difficult
My lower jaw teeth are so crookef that that the 3 squares keep out of mu teeth and are just stuck to the wire and not teeth
