- Angle Park by Restless Natives:
Tommie Paxton - guitar and vocals
Derek Dodds - guitar
Ross Cunningham - bass
Andrew Buchan - drums
See my other videos for a more up close run through of Stuart Adamson’s guitar parts.
Tommie the singer, was born to play Stuart. He looks like his twin, sings like him, plays like him, dances like him, smiles like him, dresses like him.
By far and away the best Big Country tribute band on the planet. Oh, and the SG porn on display !!!
Hey Tommie, watched you playing and singing with the BC boys last night in St Helens. Absolutely brilliant!!!
Absolutely phenomenal guys ...this is the best I've heard this played since I first heard it on The Tube in 1983 ( and better than I've heard from current Big Country line up ) !!!!
The sound of these Yamaha SG,s takes me right back to that famous performance.
Sensational guys 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks for your kind words, it means a lot!
I would rather pay money to see you guys than go to see the Big Country that is still doing the rounds
dont talk pish, Big Country are still playing outstanding
Absolutely outstanding lads
Great sound and feel well done love this
bugger that was good. i’ve seen the original lineup back in the day and swear to god close my eyes and i’m right back there with you fellers. excellent👍
Fuck+ng brilliant, Stuart will be looking down and loving it.
The difference between this band Restless Natives and the shower that are still using the name Big Country, this lot are fully aware that they are a tribute band, this is brilliant, I would gladly pay money to see this band, but I wouldn't cross the street to see the other
Wow- Great job guys! I saw them in 1983 when this first came out...Saw them again in 2007 with Mike Peters... Actually met the guys and hung out with them- Nicest guys you could ever meet! Very humble and super down to Earth... Big Country is the greatest band of all time....Period. Great tribute to them!
Really good. Watching in the USA.
Fantastic playing lads. So close to Stuart’s unique style and sound.
Excellent, job well done, I like the fine details for example the white guitar strap on a Jade Green SG2000S just like Stuart.
Perfection. Just watched this straight after tube 83 version, note perfect. Kudos to you all guys. And those SG’s, just beautiful
This is insanely good, all 4 of you nailed it
Fantastic job lads 👍
I can’t wait to see you guys -I never saw the real original line up but as far as I’m concerned you guys are totally authentic and could well be one of the most accurate tribute acts I’ve ever seen or heard ❤️
Flabbergasted.. love it. Drummer is incredible, everybody here is incredible, whole new level, fantastic.
You guys are just fantastic 😊
jesus that's bloody good
Absolutely brilliant lads, everybody deserves credit. Also love the drums and bass. I'm big country fan from the start and this is class 👏👏👏👏👏
Brilliant lads. Top notch
REALLY GOOD!
Lead guitarist and vocalist reminds me of You know who ( RIP ) . We’ll done tribute! Thanks guys! ❤️
Absolutely fantastic!
Brilliant!
Awesome!
Brilliant performance guys! 👏👏
Really amazing!
Wow !! Well done 👏
Holy shit.
Fantastic, gents.
Chiiingon parece que tengo 15 años des de que los escuche. Nadie conocía esa música chingona que parecían gaitas. Gracias y lo hacen bien en memoria de start y x la banda.
Excellent performance all
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING Musicianship, performance and mix. Congratulations guys. Top Class 🎸🎸🎸🥁
excellent guys, look forward to seeing you live
Phenomenal
Superb
Tremendous!! Thanks for keeping BC alive! Any touring possibilities for the southern USA?
We would love to, but cost and logistics would get in the way 😟
@@marshallheadkt66 thx.
never understood why this track was on the tape version of the crossing but not the vinyl
Bruce and Mark are still trying to keep it alive but it's not the same
Yeah, that flossy haired Simon fellah is way too low energy.
Wow, great musicianship from you fellas and amazing song. There's a mystery cymbal crash at 0:38 and the guitar come in at 0:54 before you begin strumming, so maybe it's from a different audio track. Nice to see that MXR - Pitch Transposer being used. Sounds great!
Well spotted - it is a different audio track, it’s next to impossible to get a good clean balanced mix with us all playing in the same room.
If you check my other videos you’ll see me playing through Angle Park on my own, using the HH VS Musician combo and MXR Pitch Transposer - that is in fact the exact same guitar track as on the band clip of Angle Park, so you can see me playing the actual studio take as I did it!
Absolutely phenomenal!! Damn, you guys are good! Any plans to come south of the border?
If the cost and logistics allow, absolutely!

Would love to know how you get the Tony butler bass tone
We just DI’d the bass into the digital recording desk via Line6 gearbox.
Playing the licks correctly is 90% of the sound.
What did you use for distortion on this? wow, sounds amazing mate!
It’s the HH Valve sound from the amp.
@@marshallheadkt66 Really, amazing, I always thought the used some sort of fuzz.
Was wondering what your seer eagle amp is and how you painted it, looks fantastic
There are two of them - Fender Showman 1x12 combos from around 1983. The silver Fender grille is sprayed over in black, then the eagle stencilled on top in white. The eagle is exactly the same size as on the Seer front album cover.
@@marshallheadkt66 thanks! Absolutely love your idea
It was Stuart’s idea originally 😃
The big country that are doing rounds need a singer like this. No the Simon bloke
Well now they’ve got him👍
brilliant. yeah dye yer hair black and you could just aboot pass for the great man!
