I always thought Thin Lizzy was the most underrated band ever until I stumbled on these guys. Criminally under appreciated, deserved so much more recognition
why are these guys so insanely good? they make all the other 80's bands seem so drab- their use of effects on guitar is amazing- still an organic sound but very innovative
I'm so glad i was turned onto BC back when i was in 9th grade; 14yrs old. I would go to the record store and buy all the 12" releases and collect them all. As i'm 46 yrs old now; this music never gets old to me. What a great song writer Stuart was; his music stands the test of time! RIP
I'm 50 and have been a fan since day one. Only saw them once in NY in 1986 but the 12" Extended mixes were INSANE!! I had all of them PLUS all albums!! Incredible band and soooooooooo overlooked here in the USA. Not to me though.
this video truly depicts BC. they were so tight, so great live, so much brought together as a team. Most days, I prefer BC live than studio, but sadly I only saw them live twice. It is not just the energy of the music; Stuart, Bruce, Tony and Mark managed to build an electricity that was inspiring. I love lots of music. I still consider BC to be the most innovative, energetic and poetic musical force to date.
perfectly said, mate I was lucky enough to see them once in the early 80's when I was about 15. To this day, the best live band I've ever seen. They were on another level..... never seen anything like them before or since.
I wish we had polymer banknotes back then. I lost so much paper money due to sweating from the pogoing. Awesome live band. Still miss you Stuart even after all these years. RIP big guy
Got some vague memory of recording this gig live from R1 on my old Binatone stereo, and then playing the TDK to death afterwards. One of the best live bands ever.
amazing to see again, Tony is so in the zone at 2:30 onwards.....take the guitars out, and listen to the Bass and Drums, Stuart and Btuce were lucky to find them..and then to have them share the vision...the BEST "engine room" in Music..... *****
what a treat. I've had a bootleg of this show for some time, and it's my favorite live recording of BG. They were at the very best in their early days. But seeing this video enhances it so much more. Seeing the band and the crowd response gives me goose bumps...thanks for uploading
saw them at Manchester university now known as the academy in May '83 - The Lotus Eaters where the support band - remember queueing up to get in and heard them soundchecking a new song - chance - best gig I ever went to - ahhhhhhthe memories

Read the Rolling Stone review of The Crossing. Love it!
Stuart Adamson was definitely the best lead guitarist ever. The feelings are mutual.

Angle Park is my favorite Big Country song. Gives me chills...probably because I am of Scottish decent. Their guitars always reminded me of bagpipes.
if you didn't get to see them live, then I truly feel sorry for you. Pure passion and talent wrapped into one
I know that i wish I could have seen them
I wish we had polymer banknotes back then. I lost so much paper money due to sweating from the pogoing. Awesome live band. Still miss you Stuart even after all these years. RIP big guy

BC could have opened for any headlining US - Canadian band, and would have wound up the headliner. So good. So real.
Tony steals the show on this one :)
