There really is no excuse for what she did. The fact that Shes sitting there smirking throughout the entire trial says she isn't remorseful whatsoever. If she had somehow done what she did because she was under the influence of drugs or maybe had a psychotic moment, she would still have some type of remorse or regret for what she did if she never meant to do it. Her smirking and laughing just shows that she wanted it to happen and feels zero guilt.
You need to get beyond the smirking dude. Yes, she must be held accountable, but smirking is not one of them. There's much more going on behind the smirk.
i was 5 and found my dad dead on the couch from a heart attack. life was rough for me as a kid. it's not an excuse to kill somebody. she is the definition of a sociopath.

As a public school teacher who sees many behaviors in a classroom and tries to discuss these with parents, most parents are in denial of the behaviors of their own children. They want to see the best in their child, and some parents believe any "diagnosis" is a weakness. Unfortunately, because of this, many parents refuse any kind of help that the school system has to help with these issues, early on. It is very frustrating to see this, because most teachers are just concerned and want to offer the help with the welfare of the child. Parent seem to think teachers do not know what they are talking about. It has been my experience, that I have been through hundreds or thousands of kids, by this point, and I see trends. It is like one big scientific study. Those trends do indeed indicate the norms and anti-norms, whether anyone wants to believe this or not. I think if these issues were dealt with early on, there would be less adults who are in prison. Just my humble opinion!
Then there’s parents like me who noticed when my oldest started school & throughout her school years was told because she always tested a few points above the cut off that she wasn’t severe enough to qualify for anything. She’s 25 now & been in trouble with the law, in & out of psychiatric hospitals, on drugs, lost to us (haven’t seen her since 2019). Before then was self harming, running away, barely graduated high school, etc. The school loved to complain about her but wouldn’t help her! For grades K-3rd I was told they don’t test kids so she fell further & further behind. She got a diagnosis of Asperger’s from her pediatrician but the school said she didn’t have it based on them testing her. I just think if she gotten the support she needed, how different her life would’ve been!
I agree. My sister is a teacher and says the same thing. I salute you teachers who get up everyday and try to make a difference while a good percentage of parents and the system doesn't work with you. I don't think people realize, your the watchdogs who see oncoming disaster and try to get help with no help, no to mention plain defiance of the parents. I honestly don't know how you do it.
