Thank you so much for the comment brother! I am so consistently blown away by the staggering talent in this band. The addition of Fami was the icing on the cake of skill
you noticed it already: you´ve found something very precious. I just say this: in their backcatalogue of around 50 songs there is no bad, stale or even mediocre one. and thanks for the great reaction.
Congratulations, you just jumped in the deep end. Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out: Their most recently posted live clips, “Set the World on Fire” (you just watched this) and “Don’t Bite the Dust” ua-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/v-deo.html, which are both from their recently released concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”. "Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ua-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/v-deo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope. Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ua-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/v-deo.html; “Holy War”: ua-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/v-deo.html Miyako is also a professional-level concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude”. Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: ua-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/v-deo.html. For a thrasher with heavy Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” ua-cam.com/video/G021aP2ao6Y/v-deo.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M. For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ua-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/v-deo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both) Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular: "Shadowmaker" ua-cam.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/v-deo.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world "When Destinies Align" ua-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/v-deo.html "Glory to the World" ua-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/v-deo.html "Winds of Transylvania" ua-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/v-deo.html. You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
Holy, the thanks goes to you for the history lesson!! 🤯 I'm a have to sit down and digest all that before I get the next Lovebites video recorded. Honoured to join the Wolfpack! 🤟🐺🤟
We know Zimmers Hole yep.. I was lucky enough to get to see Devin live (second of three times) back in the early 2000's for a triple bill gig which was Zimmers Hole/Devin Townsend Band/SYL.. I'm sure you can imagine what a night that was.. As for the ladies, I've been a confirmed Lovebites fan since 2018 when I first discovered them.. been in love ever since!
@@SmokeShowStudios It was in Bradford, UK at a venue called the Rio, back in March 2003. Awesome stuff! So many shades of awesome! Before that was SYL in Dec 2001 and a solo acoustic Devin experience in Nov 2011, both in the home city of Sheffield.
Yes, welcome to magical metal band Lovebites. Those talented ladies so passion playing heavy metal and composed various of metal genre like thrash, prog, powermetal, ballads, even hard rock. two songs for you, thunder vengeance, and break the wall. you want to see them next. miyako, dark hair, dean. usually plays a dean icon, also has a gipson les paul
The founder Bassist Miho's Idol is Steve Harris of Iron Maiden and Haruna the cofounder loves Helloween. The dual guitar attack is unmatched with any current bands these are the most in sync 2 guitarists I have heard since Smith/Murray and Downing/Tipton also look into songs that sound like maiden like Lovebites Holy War ua-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/v-deo.html and also The Crusade is a tribute to Aces High. Break The Wall is more like Slayer meets Metallica
Hey Mr Smoke... Looks like you just found your new favorite band... Welcome to the wolfpack... You need to do Thunder vengence live, which is the opening song to this concert... This is how you open a concert.. They are very good... Best wishes from France
New release!!「Save Yourself」by ONE OK ROCK .Please wacth! The English music video for this song is on the "Fueled By Ramen" official channel, not the official channel of ONE OK ROCK
Def need to also check out Band-Maid too they are another awesome all female Japanese rock band and top 2 Nemophila songs you haven't covered yet are Revive and Oiran (I suggest the live version of Oiran). Thanks for another reaction!

I 100% agree! I have a base model ML-X that I've customized to the point it's unrecognizable from what it started out as. I have dubbed it "The Decapitation Stone" 😈
Next live songs Raise Some Hell, The Hammer Of Wrath, Holy War, Break The Wall, Winds Of Transylvania, Glory To The World, When Destinies Align, Sign Of Deliverance, Scream For Me, Shadow Maker, cover song Pain Killer(Judas Priest) all songs with crazy dual guitars solo's Bro, check another TOP all female Metal Bands NEMPHILA - songs Revive, Dissension, Raitei, Ray Of Light, cover songs Iron Maiden, Journey, KISS, AC/DC, Motley Crue, Linkin Park, HANABIE - song We Love Sweets BAND-MAID - live songs Freedom, Domination, On Set, Moratorium, Play, No God, Dice, Thrill, TRIDENT-JAPAN - songs Voltage, No Regret, ASTERISM - songs Dawn, Rising Moon, Gunfire, Church, Blaze..

Break the wall, thunder vengeance, hammer of wrath for more like this. We the united and shadowmaker if you want more power metal. Frozen serenade for more progressive metal.
Great start with this song and finally someone else who hears Tipton and Downing Judas Priest Vibe, I still don't hear any slayer in their songs but then again I can't stand slayer or anthrax for that matter I was more of a Dave Mustaine, and Friedman thrash sound. Anyway, You have heard nothing yet as of now they have 50+ songs, and all freaking amazing, the good thing about this band is the fact that they are very diversified and versatile with many styles and genres in rock and metal. You will hear many different influences going back to the '70s and '80s, I personally say the very last EP they released in 2020 (Glory, glory to the World) has a lot of Dream Theater vibe as they love to experiment with progressive sounds and infuse the classical element. Depending on what you want to hear the choice is yours to pick in the next song, the cool thing about Lovebites is none of their songs sound the same, they are all completely different, and you will be shocked and amazed. good luck on this journey hope to see more. You want to experience the greatest guitar battle known to the metal world , a ton of solos trading off and complementing each other "Scream for Me" ua-cam.com/video/acwkphgzNg8/v-deo.html
Seeing some of the reactions, it seems your hardware has not the capacity to process recording and adding the videos, they stutter. If it is not the hardware your are running, some ressource consuming task do it. Investigate. This should not be. (For Audio try Voicemeeter). But the non tecnicial part of the reaction was fun - and you added some expertise too. For more heavier stuff from Japan try "Maximum the Hormone" or "Dir en Grey"
Did you just say Bruce Dickinson and Iron maiden? Lovebites even wrote a tribute to Aces High. Try The Crusade ua-cam.com/video/0guewPdnrKQ/v-deo.html. And I think you named Judas Priest. Although they compose and play all their songs, every member composes, they also play a few cover songs. Try Painkiller cover ua-cam.com/video/ivJXmOVsFaA/v-deo.html. it's so intense and brutal and tight, I guarantee you that you'll love it. Aha, one more crazy and brutal thrash, try Winds of Transylvania ua-cam.com/video/gzxReWzHIuA/v-deo.html, you won't regret it.
@@SmokeShowStudios Surely and brutally they do. Hold your jaw tight, buckle up yourself and try to stay in your seat. They are gonna flip you off the train.
Unfortunately, they are on a temporary pause right now because the bassist recently quit the band to do other things. And it seems the Bassist was one of the main members. I just discovered them a week ago so others most likely will no more. I've been trying to buy a live cd and dvd on Amazon but have been having a hard time finding it. Any help out there?
Subbed. Oh by the way did you know that rock and roll didn't die in America it just moved to Japan. when you gathered yourself I can share 8 to 10 bands that will blow your mind all female from Japan from hard Rock to metal and everything in between.
@@SmokeShowStudios about 4 years ago my daughter showed me a group because I was complaining about the radio being such a joke here in San Diego and my CD player had gone sneakers up so no more listen to Black Sabbath or led Zeppelin anymore That was my introduction to Babymetal. That led me to Band-Maid, who I believe who I feel is the best hard rock band today. That group led me to LOVEBITES, then ALDIOUS, Bridear, Mary's Blood, Doll$boxx, Stereopony, Show-Ya, Hanabie, Scandal, and...darn senior moment... And NEMOPHILA. Also Garachin Spin(spelling). All female all Japanese bands. Guys n girls: Wagakki Band. traditional instruments with modern instruments very cool. South Korea. All female. Walking After U. Rock. They're not as big as they could or should be but in the land of K-pop it's probably hard to compete. There should be a handful more including one van that's really great female singer and they got a violin and a rock band outstanding but brain functions are not computing properly tonight. Mongolia. Dudes. Traditional instruments, throating singing, folk rock, fierce. Enough for now?
Nice reaction but you have some technical problems. The volume of your intro is too high compared to your microphone. Your microphone is way below the music in the video. The idea is that the volume is always more or less even, or maybe the volume of the music a little lower than the microphone. Frames per second in the music video are extremely low, and sometimes it hangs completely. Solve your problems and you have an excellent future.
LOVEBITES are the most professional and polished band in the scene, still recruiting a bass player so they’re quiet. Here to remind you to check out Hanabie though - their calling card is “We Love Sweets” - get on it! Also, what? No Band-Maid?! Their intro should always be “Domination” live. Go on, treat yourself.
@@bonered9210 personally I think the Maids are better in as much as they are more innovative and even more fun. I think they are in the same league but LOVEBITES’ polish is far and away ahead of everyone. Although they are a thing to behold I don’t think that’s objectively always “better” when it comes to art. Don’t get me wrong though, I totally love them both and many more besides. Aldious are still the gold standard though, which just kinda makes Miyako and Midori platinum standard.
Glad you like the band. I like them also a lot. That said, your video speed is bad, dude: you stop during solos?, and your style of presentation is, to me at least, over the top, not as funny as you think, and annoying. If you want to reach an audience not used to American TV, you should think about toning it down.

LOVEBITES - Set The World On Fire lyrics:
The blue moon colors the blaze
Stabbing myself with the thunder
The predetermined imitation
An emotionless and a fearless smile
Flowing blood and crimson blade
Devastated resolution
Heat haze is waving far away
Who’s going to be sacrificed?
ON FIRE
Just like a falling flower
ON FIRE
Until this body rots away
Burning down to the Gates of Hell
Distorted madness is sneering
Incompetent, cowardly fools
A pitiful and painful punishment
It’s you who will be sacrificed
ON FIRE
Dressed in an armor of steel
ON FIRE
If I’m burned again and again
I’ll rise up from the Gates of Hell
The blue moon colors blaze
Stabbing myself with the thunder
The predetermined imitation
An emotionless and fearless smile
Flowing blood and crimson blade
Devastated resolution
Heat haze is waving far away
Who’s going to be sacrificed?
ON FIRE
Just like a falling flower
ON FIRE
Until this body rots away
Burning down to the Gates of Hell

Miho...Bassist , founder and the leader of the pack. Sadly she left the band last August.
Miyako... Dark hair guitarist/ pianist
Midori.... Blonde guitarist
Haruna... Drummer
Asami.... Vocalist
Five spectacular musicians together in one band 🤘🐺
Glory to Lovebites 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Miho! Miho! Miho! 🤘🐺🔥🔥🔥
I knew I saw a keyboard behind Miyako in the video!! 😁 multi-instrumentalist to boot, so impressive. I will throw those songs on the list! Thank you so much for watching and for the suggestions 😶🌫️
Guitarist sees person on stage with his fave guitar and IMMEDIATELY pulls out his own and goes into details about it.
As a fellow guitar player, I approve of and participate in this behavior.
I'm an old man who grew up in the 80's metal scene and my reaction when I first heard these incredible ladies ( about the same time it looks like you put this video out) my reaction was EXACTLY the same as yours.
😂😉😎
🤘😎🤘
Thank you so much for the comment brother! I am so consistently blown away by the staggering talent in this band. The addition of Fami was the icing on the cake of skill
If you want to hear epic trade off solos you should check out Lovebites' 'Scream for Me'.
you noticed it already: you´ve found something very precious. I just say this: in their backcatalogue of around 50 songs there is no bad, stale or even mediocre one. and thanks for the great reaction.
👍👍👍👍🎊
Congratulations, you just jumped in the deep end. Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981).
As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out:
Their most recently posted live clips, “Set the World on Fire” (you just watched this) and “Don’t Bite the Dust” ua-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/v-deo.html, which are both from their recently released concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”.
"Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ua-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/v-deo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope.
Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ua-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/v-deo.html;
“Holy War”: ua-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/v-deo.html
Miyako is also a professional-level concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar.
For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ua-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/v-deo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular:
"Shadowmaker" ua-cam.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/v-deo.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world
"When Destinies Align" ua-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/v-deo.html
"Glory to the World" ua-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/v-deo.html
"Winds of Transylvania" ua-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/v-deo.html.
Holy shit, that triple bill is ridiculous!! 🤯 where was that show at?
@@SmokeShowStudios It was in Bradford, UK at a venue called the Rio, back in March 2003. Awesome stuff! So many shades of awesome! Before that was SYL in Dec 2001 and a solo acoustic Devin experience in Nov 2011, both in the home city of Sheffield.
Yes, welcome to magical metal band Lovebites. Those talented ladies so passion playing heavy metal and composed various of metal genre like thrash, prog, powermetal, ballads, even hard rock. Seem easy to them. React more song of them and you'll be amazed like me and others. Great reaction friend 🤘🤘😆👍👍
two songs for you, thunder vengeance, and break the wall. you want to see them next. miyako, dark hair, dean. usually plays a dean icon, also has a gipson les paul
Done 😶🌫️
ua-cam.com/video/DQM0iFoHNlw/v-deo.html
Thank you so much for the comment and for watching Grant, I will throw Thunder Vengence on the list! 😶🌫️
@@SmokeShowStudios Excellent.. Looking forward to your reaction

Nice setup bro for your podcast man. Yeah people really have cool talented people comes to instruments.
Def need to also check out Band-Maid too they are another awesome all female Japanese rock band and top 2 Nemophila songs you haven't covered yet are Revive and Oiran (I suggest the live version of Oiran). Thanks for another reaction!
Seems like you enjoyed this?
Try the song Holy War. Live.
i've owned Ibanez, ESP, Schecter and played multiple others but Dean feels the most natural in the hands, like an instrument not a machined piece of wood, have the MAB1 plugged into an Engle fireball 100
I 100% agree! I have a base model ML-X that I've customized to the point it's unrecognizable from what it started out as. I have dubbed it "The Decapitation Stone" 😈
Next live songs Raise Some Hell, The Hammer Of Wrath, Holy War, Break The Wall, Winds Of Transylvania, Glory To The World, When Destinies Align, Sign Of Deliverance, Scream For Me, Shadow Maker, cover song Pain Killer(Judas Priest) all songs with crazy dual guitars solo's
Bro, check another TOP all female Metal Bands

First contact reactions are the best. Second all the recommendations for BREAK THE WALL next. Here's a link ua-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/v-deo.html Enjoy and Welcome to the WOLFPACK 🤘🐺🤘
And second your recommendation for Break the Wall too. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘😎
You must view frozen serenade from lovebites
Seeing some of the reactions, it seems your hardware has not the capacity to process recording and adding the videos, they stutter. If it is not the hardware your are running, some ressource consuming task do it. Investigate. This should not be. (For Audio try Voicemeeter). But the non tecnicial part of the reaction was fun - and you added some expertise too. For more heavier stuff from Japan try "Maximum the Hormone" or "Dir en Grey"
Zimmers Hole is nuts!!
They cover Painkiller?! 🤯 that's my favourite Priest track!
@@SmokeShowStudios Surely and brutally they do. Hold your jaw tight, buckle up yourself and try to stay in your seat. They are gonna flip you off the train.
@@SmokeShowStudios You are not ready sir. They crushed it.
@@waterwalker9600 Lol, it's a supersonic freight train. Enjoy your ride!!

Love *_Iron Maiden_* ? React to Lovebites - The Crusade
nice reaction
Unfortunately, they are on a temporary pause right now because the bassist recently quit the band to do other things. And it seems the Bassist was one of the main members. I just discovered them a week ago so others most likely will no more.
I've been trying to buy a live cd and dvd on Amazon but have been having a hard time finding it. Any help out there?
try to react SWAN SONG,,SIGN TO DELIVERENCE,,HOLLY WAR etc ..they are have more 50 premium songs..and FYI their won METAL HAMMER AWARD 2018 IN EUROPE

Subbed. Oh by the way did you know that rock and roll didn't die in America it just moved to Japan. when you gathered yourself I can share 8 to 10 bands that will blow your mind all female from Japan from hard Rock to metal and everything in between.
Don't be shy Charles, hit me! 😶🌫️
@@SmokeShowStudios about 4 years ago my daughter showed me a group
because I was complaining about the radio being such a joke here in San Diego and my CD player had gone sneakers up so no more listen to Black Sabbath or led Zeppelin anymore
That was my introduction to Babymetal.
So what do you think? Not too bad for a Japanese girlie group, hah? :-)
Break the wall next.
Best metal band today: Lovebites
Best hard rock band today: Band-Maid
the best hard rock / heavy metal band is lovebites , such deception is meaningless.
Yes, they are good. Nice that you are enthusiastic. A bit too much shouting and screaming for me though. Just saying. Nothing personal.
Go on, treat yourself.
to put it simply, lovebites belongs to major league and maids is the winning team of 2A.
Pls react Roselia R
I like your reaction. Shame it's mono though. 2c
Shouldn't be mono? Coming through in stereo for me 🤔
@@SmokeShowStudios Are you listening to your posted video? It's mono here. I've checked a couple of times. Cheers
Lots of screaming and laughter. LOVEBITES should be looked at carefully, and not grimace
Just being myself, reacting to a phenomenal band 🤷🏻♂️
Glad you like the band. I like them also a lot.
That said, your video speed is bad, dude: you stop during solos?, and your style of presentation is, to me at least, over the top, not as funny as you think, and annoying. If you want to reach an audience not used to American TV, you should think about toning it down.
Thank you for watching. My style of presentation is literally just me. I'm not acting or trying to be over-the-top, this is literally how I am when the camera is on or off 😅
Too bad guitar doesn't make the guitarist...
