For what it’s worth… Miyako was wearing flats because she was 3-4 months pregnant at the time of this show. Lovebites also opened for DragonForce on a tour of the UK in 2019. There are a few of vids out there of band members going onstage with DF to perform. VERY entertaining!!

No trashy outfits, these ladies said WE WILL show you we are metal with our talents, NOT with our looks and appearances! No additional or distracting "circus", no needless artistics. Instead, they time and again perform on the frontiers of what' s possible _technically_ , and of what makes sense in terms of the _music vibe_ desired. They dress like priestesses of Metal, or like ladies-next-door who perform a sole celebration. And please mind, that Asami transports their _Japanese_ thoughts and emotions into _English_ lyrics (which is another task), and that they merge music sounds that the Japanese populace is used to, with Western Metal sounds. An incredible, multi-layered quest. Given all these facts, Lovebites perform f***ingly convincing, and deeply impressive. I still continue to listen to Iron Maiden and Helloween as well, but Lovebites are "something else", a "different cattle of fish".
Asami said in an interview, that she was mostly _background_ singer for _Soul and Blues_ songs before she joined Lovebites. 😂 An absolutely crazy fact if you enjoy her voice as a mesmerizing Metal front lady now. 😁

Hello, greetings from a veteran Spanish subscriber. A tremendous song, of course. The great M&Ms have left me impressed. I don't know what to say about them anymore, I don't find among men such an imaginative and virtuous duo. Haruna and Miho, as always, driving the locomotive with speed and safety and Asami......spectacular voice, ideal for these girls and really beautiful...I couldn't stop looking at her, she is an operations director who dominates the stage to perfection.
They are coming to USA in September, I'm hoping they will do more shows, but it's possible the first 3 shows were to just put their foot in the door and see if the the water is warm.

Great suggestions! Break the Wall is incredible beyond the usual Lovebites-incredibility. Stand and Deliver is a step more into a punkish or The Who direction, but of course it's still not Punk or The Who, but metal. I personally also favor Frozen Serenade, Swan Song (the one with the Chopin intro by Miyako) and Soldier stands solitarily.

I would guess "The Hammer of Wrath" live 2023 might be a nice choice for next song. It's with new bass player Fami, and her first live appearance as member of LB. Many feared that she would be a downgrade compared to Miho. Though she's not that "Metal" as Miho was, with her Steve Harris style of playing, she has added her slap-bass style, and at the same time worked really hard to replicate the galloping style from the Miho-era. Really curious about what she will add to the new upcoming album.
You will like BREAK THE WALL (2020). It’s Thrashtastic, but also delivers a melodic surprise. MIDORI’s solo is incredibly fast and clean; my jaw always drops at her staccato run. And MIYAKO balances that intensity with delicious soulfulness. Also, revisit the HOLY WAR solos. They are among my favorites.
Have you ever seen Miyako's pedal board, lol? Go check out her personal YT channel. She's a gear junkie and has many 'how to' videos. The woman is amazing and humbled AF. Swan Song ( with Chopin intro)will blow you away( it’s more of a ballad, I like there ballads best but love all their stuff, hey I grew up in the 60s and 70s so first wave metal head) journey to the other side also is great , live versions always first!

I suggest checking out the thrash songs of LOVEBITES. For example, bassist Miho's song 'Thunder Vengeance', with which the 'Electric Pentagram' Album (January 2020) begins and with which the Tour concerts began in 2020. If you want to hear progressive mixed with neoclassical, then I suggest checking out Miyako's song 'Dystopia Symphony', which was written under the influence of classical music and dedicated to the great Ludwig van Beethoven. A well-known music critic, in his review of the EP 'Glory, Glory, to the World' (March 2021), admiringly called 'Dystopia Symphony' a “neoclassical nightmare.” This song only exists on UA-cam in audio format for now, but it's worth checking out. 'Dystopia Symphony' showcases Miyako's talent as a composer and her passion for classical music. Personally, I put 'Dystopia Symphony' two notches higher than 'Holy War' and one notch higher than 'Set the World on Fire'. Unfortunately, 'Dystopia Symphony' is rarely recommended by fans of LOVEBITES.

Great suggestions! Break the Wall is incredible beyond the usual Lovebites-incredibility. Stand and Deliver is a step more into a punkish or The Who direction, but of course it's still not Punk or The Who, but metal. I personally also favor Frozen Serenade, Swan Song (the one with the Chopin intro by Miyako) and Soldier stands solitarily.
Second both of those suggestions... Just do it!!!

I would guess "The Hammer of Wrath" live 2023 might be a nice choice for next song.
It's with new bass player Fami, and her first live appearance as member of LB. Many feared that she would be a downgrade compared to Miho.
Though she's not that "Metal" as Miho was, with her Steve Harris style of playing, she has added her slap-bass style, and at the same time worked really hard to replicate the galloping style from the Miho-era. Really curious about what she will add to the new upcoming album.
You will like BREAK THE WALL (2020). It’s Thrashtastic, but also delivers a melodic surprise. MIDORI’s solo is incredibly fast and clean; my jaw always drops at her staccato run. And MIYAKO balances that intensity with delicious soulfulness.
Also, revisit the HOLY WAR solos. They are among my favorites.
Check the video from the Dragonforce's UK tour with Lovebites opening for them. At the end they jammed together. Miyako has a Petrucci wah

Yeah, definitely Break The Wall live 2020 or Thunder Vengeance live 2020 (show opener) next. BTW is more Slayer-esqe where TV is more Metallica Ride The Lightning-like. It's the show opener and opening riff is brutal. Great reaction.

Swan Song ( with Chopin intro)will blow you away( it’s more of a ballad, I like there ballads best but love all their stuff, hey I grew up in the 60s and 70s so first wave metal head) journey to the other side also is great , live versions always first!

I suggest checking out the thrash songs of LOVEBITES. For example, bassist Miho's song 'Thunder Vengeance', with which the 'Electric Pentagram' Album (January 2020) begins and with which the Tour concerts began in 2020.
If you want to hear progressive mixed with neoclassical, then I suggest checking out Miyako's song 'Dystopia Symphony', which was written under the influence of classical music and dedicated to the great Ludwig van Beethoven. A well-known music critic, in his review of the EP 'Glory, Glory, to the World' (March 2021), admiringly called 'Dystopia Symphony' a “neoclassical nightmare.” This song only exists on UA-cam in audio format for now, but it's worth checking out. 'Dystopia Symphony' showcases Miyako's talent as a composer and her passion for classical music.
Personally, I put 'Dystopia Symphony' two notches higher than 'Holy War' and one notch higher than 'Set the World on Fire'. Unfortunately, 'Dystopia Symphony' is rarely recommended by fans of LOVEBITES.

Why doesn't she make a ridiculous face when using the Wah Pedal, my guess, it would probably have to do with being a married Female & Mother... ie: women are more mature about how they present themselves in public as opposed to men on stage thinking they're still 15yr old teens wasted at a house party playing air-guitar like goofs, perhaps🤔. The Japanese people are very honorable and generally dont want to dishonor their country, culture or family and once again being a mother im sure she would be trying to have a professional look to her actions for her child as an example 🤷 just some thoughts.✌
Dragonforce is a one dimensional band and Lovebittes are not. Lovebites has both Thrash and heavy metal elements of Maiden, Judas and Halloween.
Herman Li is good friends with them and they've gigged together. Big up to him, as with bandmaid he doesn't grudge the love.
