As one wise man said, if you see a checkmate in 1, look for better.
- Emmanuel Lasker
I don't think the opponent found better
@@BrightAGen But he looked, and that was the important thing.
- Simp Tzu
@@BrightAGen "Look, a free pawn!"
Even with the handicap… that opponent didn’t want your king, he wanted your pride.
Opponent was doing a challenge "Capture all pieces and pawns before checkmate" ;)
Meanwhile on your opponent's channel:
"100 Rated Chess, but you don't take charity. If your opponent blunders his king, you must adamantly refuse to accept him "giving" you the game."
sounds like something from Looney Tunes
This sounds like a good challenge for Simp to try
The existential nightmare of trying to get a 100 to see mate in 1
10 moves sounds way more difficult than 3 minutes
Yeah. As usual, Simp is changing the rules to make the challenge more difficult for no reason.
I agree but also I can see why he changed it. I don't think 3 minutes would be an interesting challenge because it's almost like "get checkmated before the opponent runs out of time" if Simp plays fast enough. It's just that 10 moves was also way too little.
The game lasted 3 minutes and 20 seconds...
Fun fact! By the time of the 10th move (3:14), the game had already lasted for 3 minutes and several seconds.
@@KingKlearya but simp would’ve rushed his moves if it was timed
the hard cut to the outtro had my dying lmao
This challenge is actually pure rng. Either you get a 100 rated that will try to scholars mate you or they don’t know what checkmate is.
Which means....
For the 'tunnel vision' move, could move the rook to h2 to provoke his queen to attack the rook
Simp wanted to clear h2 to avoid the oponent moving in to take there I think.
Then it wouldn't be mate anymore though
I was looking for this comment, expecting it to be there. Thank you.
but if Rh2 then he could block with Rf2 on the next move
Rh2 Qg3 Rf2 is forced and no mate lol.
When the unpaid actor doesn't understand the assignment
That last move was very funny. 100 rated players never disappoint.
The sudden cut to the end made me spit out my coffee. Hohhh boy lmao
First time?
That is a very hard challenge even without move or time limits. I still don't understand how 100 rated players play against each other as they are pretty much unable to checkmate.
they resign when losing their queen or other side promotion. if they never resign they wouldn't be 100 just from the statistical inability of their opponents to mate and lots of stalemates
Naw, they just win/lose on time
In addition to an early resignation and a loss on time, the 3rd option is a draw by repetition or by king stalemate. The draw is forced by the player with more material.
Even tho i didnt expect any checkmate, going back to b2, even for a 100 elo, is pretty insane 😂
He’s gonna take the rook and blunder the queen next move.
The time u want ur opponent to do scholars mate and they dont do it lol
He wanted fools mate, actually, but probably should have tried to provoke a scholar's mate: his opponent is more likely to have known about it (even if they don't actually know how it works)
He should know that 100 rated players have trouble seeing diagonals. He needed a really obvious vulnerability, like getting rid of his king's pawn so the opponent would clearly see the king sitting in a perfect little hole waiting to die.
Expecting a 100 ELO to find a simple check mate in 1 is folly, unless they're a smurf they're never finding it.
I’m a ghost
I died watching this person fail to even check the king
When this kind of thing happens, just take it like missing the gold medal / S rank or whatever, that is in X moves / minutes / etc, and just go for the silver/bronze/etc version, like in less restriction, no restriction, etc. We still want to see you get there, obviously
From my own experience, there are people who play chess to play it properly and some people want to play "longer" with the whole opening by the book and dancing around.
I guess You got one that loves to dance.
Bold of you to say that this person has a logic behind their thought process
that guy really pulled a less than -3 iq move and it cost you pride
3:29
simp's perfectly cut always make my day XD
i'm not sure this guy can see even half of a half-move in the future
Finally! You used Walpurgis Night again!
Basically the challenge was quite easy. Just open the diagonal and put the rock on critical square if opponent not see the mate.
This is by far your funniest video lmao
your big mistake was not playing f3 on move 1
Bruh what does moving the queen back to b2 even accomplish? XD
Well the last time the queen moved to b2 they got a free knight, so clearly they cargo culted that square as somewhere to get more free pieces. Because we all know that the point of chess is to go up in material.
@@lmabacus404 Cargo cult mentality explanation. It's so stupid, I love it. XD
Peak 100 elo player
I wonder what games between 2 actual 100 rated players look like. how long does it take for them to find checkmates?
Quite easy to find on UA-cam. Gotham Chess for instance has plenty low elo content.
I would imagine they just take eachothers pieces until stalemate.
@@simonp.5964 He's absolutely insufferable though
Even if the rule was not changed, i doubt that the mission would be accomplished.
It was a hopeless challenge from the beginning of this match
No he could do it with some more effort. This opponent at least clearly sees free pieces and it is enough. Simp could lure his queen on the right spot giving him a piece there
My head hurts from the facepalm at 2:35.
I enjoy coming back to this one every now and then lol
Oh no my cat
I think the only way for this to work would be to blunder a piece that just also happens to blunder checkmate.
Getting checkmated in 3 minutes is literally me every time I play a blitz game.
One of the best videos here
this is what you called, subverting expectations..
i can only imagine the face of simp when he's making a blunder but the opponent cant see it
That ending had me guffaw 😂
I can imagine Simps opponent is just like "This is a trap... I don't see how, but it must be a trap."
This is the best CS video evah!
2:56 should have been knight F3 followed by knight to H4. Might have tempted him into an accidental checkmate
"Yo bro can you scholar's mate me i need it for a video"
« Qu'est-ce que c'est qu'un compagnon d'érudit? »
Maybe it was better to attempt this challenge while playing with Magnus Carlsen
then he proceeds to give him 10 moves handicap by moving his horsey back and forth
Plot twist: opponent was magnum carlos' smurf account
somebody tell this opponent that your ELO is not the total of all material you have captured across your games
This is the is the most painful video i have ever watched
Ok Queen B2 was a personal attack.
The new abrupt endings rule!
Challange failed. So to win the respect back DESTROY your opponent!
Aa-haa! The famous Dudweiler gambit!
You having to lose was an interesting challenge ideia
Haha, you need to lure him by giving free capture, a beginners such as myself will look for that, like on move 10 where the queen capture the free horse.
Definitely not a paid actor.
1:55 simp blundered bishop g2
On move 10, i would have just did Rb1 and let the chips fall where they may. If Qxb1, then Qxb1, opponent resigns, mission failed successfully.
Did no one notice “subscribe or I’ll steal your cat.” XD
At 2:00 he was looking at Queen E2. you should have just moved your horse bishop and queen away. it takes 3 turns but that was a more obvious checkmate to a person like me and him.
You should've started with f3 instead of f4.
Yeah 1. f4 discouraged the opponent from playing 1...e5
This is what happens when you don't pay your actors
You had better pushed f3 rather than f4 in move #1 - you discouraged the opponent from moving Edward. ;)
3 minutes would've been a lot easier, but premoving all your pieces to their death to give the opponent an easy road to ladder mate or enough open lines for an accidental mate would've been pretty boring.
Huh, been a while since you last used Walpurgis Night in a video.
Of course the mission dies to an uncooperative opponent though.
"Very easy"
Ah so utterly impossible I presume.
Should've realized that the 100-rated player always wants material gain more than a win. If you'd left a trail of blundered pieces to the desired square, you'd have a better shot.
I guess you've never fished before. You should have put a bait on the g3 for the woman.
Plot twist, simp was playing worstfish.
Who noticed "subscribe or I will steal your cat" in the left panel
you could just write in the chat that he has M1
7. h4 would've been better instead of "attacking" the bishop like that.
Who is more foolish, the fool who offers fool's mate 3 times, or the fool who declines?
100 Rateds are always scared of being attacked, maybe should've tried scooting away the queen to b1 so the dude is like "aha weak defenses!", (100 rated player btw :v )
Always have faith in the one hundred rated opponent
Subscribe, or I'll steal your Cat ?! :D
I once played this exact game while simping. I was playing a hot girl who couldn't win if her life depended on it.... she somehow forced me to move my king and ended up with a very lame stalemate
God fucking damn watching 100s play can be sooooo infuriating
Maybe it's because I know very little about chess, but I'd assume an opponent giving me room to snack his king's ass is setting me up and I'd try to avoid what I thought was an obvious bait into something. Like, surely this guy isn't just giving me the win, right? What am I not seeing? "Challenge: lose fast" would not be my assumption lmao
One behalf of my countrymen
we are sorry you had to play against him..
Only few legends will know the man in his profile picture!!!
How I missed the time when I'm still 100 elo
I expected scholar mate, mate on h file is way too hard
I've tried teaching chess to children who were actually interested. It's amazing how much you take the ability to checkmate with two rooks for granted. (KQ vs K was too hard to I had to start with something easier.)
how old were they ?
this is the most frustrating video i've watched today ;-;
You somehow found the one indian player in existence that doesn't play the scholars mate every game
Man, dont make the challenge harder if you can't defeat it in the first place
Simp is unpaid actor confirmed
Shoulda gone h4 obvi
...instead of h3 originally
Come on, every terrible chess players learns the fool's mate. This was painful
Don't want to be a pain in the ass but I think Queen to c1 and Bishop to g2 may had been good tries for you back when both his bishop and queen were aimed at e2
no what the fuck today?
The Tard wrangling challengers are some of the most impressive challenge to win, but most of the times it is so frustrating
the plan is very simple, checkmate simps video
Chess, but you need more simps. You need to end the game with at least five bishops on the two sides
8.Rh2 was winning. No way he misses Qg3# after taking the rook
Problem is, noobs treat chess like it's team deathmatch, and not kill the VIP.
Simp out there finding the less aggressive Indian player in the history of Chess.
WHY WOULD YOU ATTACK THE BISHOP AT MOVE 7?! WHY WOULD YOU EVEN PLAY F4, INSTEAD OF F3?!
Should've been black and let him scholars mate
Video 46 of asking simp to play fps chess
you could have just typed it in the chat. Although that would be cowardly at least you probably would have won
Let's be real, if Simp lost he wouldn't have posted the video.
You were not cheating, just being a coward :)
