      Once he knew the king side was dead, he should have just tried moving his rooks and queen up, starting from the back rank and going to the second, etc. If you can't move to H1, try H2. You've taken a pawn, and now the king can't move forward, which he guessed it hadn't moved at all yet. Then you literally just have to push another piece back there and it's basically mate. He knew he'd taken a knight, king side rook, and the light squared bishop, and his opponent didn't castle. So unless he moved another piece to that side specifically ahead of time to avoid being mated there, it would have been nearly unstoppable. With both rooks and the queen, he could even use one of the rooks as a minesweeper. Game didn't end? Rook to G1, no mate? Rook G2. Your opponent will be confused as heck, but one step at a time you clear things out until you lose your rook and then... well, then you know where the blockage is stopping your mate.

      There is an important upside in this challenge compared to the Fog of War mode, which actually saved Simp: the system makes the moves that expose the king illegal and impossible to do. • @Charmlie.R
    @Charmlie.R Рік тому +28

    I was really expecting some fog of war moves! Sending a piece into the dark, logging where it is, and trying to use it. If you hear a capture, its dead. Or, if you try to move it and fail, dead. It gives some info in a risky way, also ghost attacks sound cool. Like assuming a pieces location and sending your queen to that square, not knowing until you get there if its a capture it not.
    Either way, this was a great challenge. Totally agree that removing the time restriction on another attempt would be awesome, but I dont think challenges get repeated often so who knows.
