this says it has a chrome housing but yours is smoked plastic all around...... wrong link?
Just bought this and love it. I used the center of the gasket to seal off the inner cab hole the wire runs throu. Worked perfect almost as if it was intended for it.

3rd brake light from Recon on a 2012 ram kept the bed lights on 24/7, added an aftermarket resistor and it got hot AF so I just put the factory back in. moved from the '12 to a '15 and worked perfectly with no resistor. just depends on the voltage supplied. and make sure if you add a resistor that it is not in a place to cause a fire

Just my humble opinion but stop using the word "cheap" as it makes every mod you do sound cheap and crappy!
Budget build, low cost, inexpensive are much better.

I had the same one on mine and after it rained the light stayed on. They send me another one it did the same thing. So just put factory back in and sprayed it with tinted clear.
The "tilt" might be the nubbins from the locating pins if you didn't go back with a knife after the side cutters.
Any tips on how to prevent moisture in those aftermarket lights? I been getting that but it’s not affecting the light.

It's better for trailers than bed lighting... though you've already done the under rail bed lights before so there that too. Read alot of them for the Dakota needed that miliamp fuse added to shut the LEDs all the way off, I had to do that with the interior dome lights. I figured thats the only one i'd replace when the time comes being I have a hard shell tonneau and not a flip up like you have.

I have the same one on mine, the cargo lights one day started to stay on, dim but I was pulled over and they let me know my cargos were on, until I turned it on and they were bright.. I may have to mess with it
Id have put the gasket on the light in case you want to put on another and dont have to scrape that one off lol.
I think it looks good but im not a fan of using smoked lights , but not because of looks. I just dont want to diminish the light brighness purpose, especially on headlights. Just my feeling on it.

I can't find a light mod. For my 2021 ram 1500 big horn. Plus I also can't find a gasket for the 3rd brake light. It leaks
Do you have a link to the actual light you used? The link you posted is to the clear version, not the smoked one you used.
So I got this one, and I'm having issues with moisture getting in it. Have you had this issue? If so, how'd you fix it? Love the light nice and bright and helps with ppl running brights behind you.
Update: moisture went away one major Pro is these are BRIGHT. To the point that if someone has their brights on behind you just turn these on, and they will turn their brights off and or back off your ass. Definitely a good buy.
I have the same issue. I think I may have cracked the housing from over tightening the screws, that or the washers for the screws are causing the leak. I had put clear flex seal on the screws to help create a seal. But I still have moisture getting in
Anyone have issue with these leaking in the cab??

Does anyone know if you can delete the Active grill stuff with the Alfa OBD programmer?? HELLLPPPP
Nope you can’t. Just yank the grill out, pull the flaps out and put back in. 10mins of time. If your grill is trashed or the shutter frame is missing, you’ll need to add resistance to the shutter servo. Plenty of YT vids on how.
i purchased this and it didnt seem to seal at the botom at all, anybody else experience this?

It's a resistor(dummy load)...not capacitor.
