Hi , can this grout be used on sawn and honed sandstone, unsealed? If not, what would you recommend, thanks

Yes - make sure you *thoroughly* pre-wet the paving - absolutely soak it, then soak it again, and that will make it easier to clean.

Hello, like to ask a quick question, am relaying brick paver in the garden, and for the grout filling am thinking of 1:4 cement sand mix, brush it down and hose it. (Don't have premix binding grout here) or do I fill it with slurry sand cement mix. Kindly tell, would be really helpful. Thanks 🙏

We wouldn't normally use a mortar joint with block (brick) pavers uinless they had been laid onto a mortar bed - see www.pavingexpert.com/rigidbpv - but when someone insists on using a mortar joint with blocks laid over an unbound bed (sand or gravel) then the best method is hand buttering and jointing (www.pavingexpert.com/jointing03) . Where a "brush-in option is preferred, a wet slurry is the better option (www.pavingexpert.com/jointing04) whereas the "dry brush-in and wet down" method rarely produces good results because the depth of the joints nearly always causes the mortar at the base of the joint to be "underwetted" resulting in a weak, friable and bound-to-fail mortar.

@@TonyMcCormack will go with the slurry method, as the area is about 200ft the hand buttering will be tough. And for the finishing of the slurry, don't mind having a bit stain residues as the bricks are quiet old. Thank you so much, got to learn a lot from the links 😃
