Hi mate, job looks fantastic as always!!
We have always used a wash boy from pro tiler tools and find it's a little easier to have the wash boy sponge really wrung out as much as possible when cleaning which dries the paving and cleans it in 1-2 passes. We've found doing it wet makes it harder work
We've also switched from grouting porcelain now to the porcelain specific resin grout which has just taken the time down by a tenth. Its swept in like sandstone grout and performs absolutely spot on and is rated down to a 3mm joint. Its brushed in and washed off with a hose and has saved us days and days.
Its called ULTRA tile fix Propave Grout and it is absolutely fantastic.

This is the best way to clean a patio check this out I put it up today.
As for that grout yes it’s really easy but it’s also really crap too there’s no strength in it at all and moss will stick to it and it will go green eventually otherwise I’d still use it 👍😂

I've just used this stuff and i found it to be a pain to clean off. Left picture framing and needed a jet wash to remove. Not sure if it was something to do with the porcelain as the customer bought it and it was incredibly cheap £36 m2. I left it about 90 mins before cleaning off, as this is how long it took for it to feel firm in the joints, but by this time it was really baked on the surface.
    Maybe I've done something wrong???
I used anthracite grout on light coloured slabs.

Once swept once with sponge float straight back in bucket and clean 😜 lovely job Scott boy. Fugabella is superb grout. Agree pedalo saves so much time love that system. Problem is with marshalls grout and Flowpoint don’t get a smooth finish and most times get bloody whitening along the edge of tiles here and there. Ps that drill ain’t going last no time mixing big buckets do the right thing and get dewalt flexvolt mixing paddle 🤟🤟

You’re right about the marshals grout there were problems this year I believe they have about a dozen new products so looks like they’re evolving too.
I’ve got my main one but as doing small batches I’d get something smaller as the tranceformer weights a ton for it.
Need time I’ll hook it up as the next jobs going to be the same product and head of sales for tilers tools is coming down to jump in and inform a bit more.

Haha superb Scott yeah well all like freebies for sure. Trust me cordless 54 flexvolt dewalt can mix a belle mixer load with these paddles. 12ah battery will mix 13 bags self level full charge. A can mix sure about 6. 25 litre buckets cement easily on 1 battery. Mixing grout and glues etc battery last all week. A absolutely hate cables or carrying about transformers. Tilers tools are very good bought good few bits of them. That raimundi sponge float there there best about. Get changeable sponges can get the 1,s with cuts in them also. Plastic boy just clicks out. @@tidybrickslandscaping Job done and dusted. Your advice was priceless, especially the 'avoid the midday sun and do small areas'. It was sunny and windy when I started and it dried unbelievably fast. Quickly stopped/finished-up and got up early doors the next day. For others reference, going back to my original Q, As a DIY'er, I ended-up mixing 2.5 kg batches. Gotta say the workability and colour match between batches was excellent. I comment - the Product Data Sheet states 'Mixing water: - 5 kg bag ≈ 1.125 l / 20 kg bag ≈ 4.5 l / 1 bag 20 kg'. ( tilerstools.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/FUGA-PAVE-Part-C-Flex-CH-Grout-Technical-Information.pdf ) This is quite a lot different to the 700 ml in yours and Tony McCormack's vids. Ended-up checking with Tilers Tools and it's 1.125 litres / 5 kg (initially 75% then 25% added after the initial mix). Thanks again.

I have built a 9 inch retaining wall 650 high
I intended to use a porcelain paver to clad, I’ve been advised to use no nails and a coping on top. Would you agree that’s a good fix?

Hi mate thanks for watching glad you’re enjoying my videos and learning something as for the wall using no nails that I would say is a big no-no are use of cement primer which I use on my tiles if you were to clad a wall with it then I would paint the primer on the wall and also the back of the tiles in the two wet ends will stick together really well..
It would’ve been preferable to have put a damp proof membrane of some sort behind the wall to stop the water from penetrating through..
But as you’re using porcelain you might be okay 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
