Patio Construction Using Steintec Mortars Part 2: Tufftop

The second of two videos following the construction of a simple sandstone patio using Steintec mortars and primers. This part looks at the jointing mortar, Tufftop. How does this compare to its competitors like flowpoint? Are they’re any benefits to swapping over to this brand?

The Steintec products are all *fully* compliant with BS 7533 in its various forms, including the latest Part 101. Flowpoint is compliant to some parameters, while many of the alternatives are eithr non-compliant or meet just one or two of the performance criteria. Beyond that, many of us find that we "get on" better with certain products, they suit our personl methods of working. I find TuffTop moves more readily when fluid and cleans more easily than anything else I've tried, but I know contractors I respect enormously think that this product or that product works best for them - horses for courses, I supppose.
