Metformin and rapamicin should be avoided if you want a peak phisique... They both inhibir regeneration and growth, which of course is good for longevity. NAD+ and alfa cetoglutarate, which improves mitocondrial health are the way. I'm not sure about revestarol... BAM15 should be in you list pretty soon! A safe decoupler that seems to remove unhealthy mitocondria and increase energy expenditure. Anyways, good video.
For me, AKG is a no-brainer. I have been taking it before my NAD+ booster in the am for 2 months now. The reason it is a no-brainer is that it is so easily tolerated. No side effects; just less inflammation. AKG has not once caused me stomach upset or sleep problem.
@@PandaA-cv3mm Hi Panda, I still take 300mg dissolved in water first thing in the am. Kirkman. Also AKG supplements are mostly not calcium but arginine based. Does this make a difference. (I'm an ageing engineer not biochemist).
The three yamanaka factors are the best technology against aging we have today. Veritasium also agrees. Broccoli sprouts that were heated to a specific temperature for 10min then frozen are also the best thing against preventing cancer because it has tons of sulforophane which is good against cancer. Even if nmn gives cell more energy to live, it doesn't prevent cancer which 1/4 people get. But sulforophane does. Also, its important to note than nmn and reservatrol needs to be taken with oil, like olive oil, or else it won't be bio available.
Thanks for the vid. I know this is dated but j also know you update your info on these vids. Resveratrol dietary supplements IMO are a waste of money. The compound has 3 hydroxyl groups and is metabolized very quickly as a result, resulting in poor absorption. I believe most of the RCTs for resveratrol are either done in vitro, ex vivo, or done IV. Correct me if I'm wrong on that last part. Its methylated analog, pterostilbene, is FAR SUPERIOR, and I find it works best when paired with an NM supplement, even if research on dietary NM is also conflicting.
What do you think of Pterostilbene vs Resveratrol? Elysium uses Pterostilbene in their NR supplement (Basis) instead of Resveratrol. They do a pretty good job of explaining why on their site.
Thanks. I take some of these like fisetin episodically. Likewise, with apigenin as a senolytic and CD38 modulator. Very true, dose matter, as well as duration.

definitely nrf2 activators such as sulforaphane as well as other isothiocyanates should be mentioned. I love Rhonda.
Brilliant, thanks for the info. My Top 5: NR, Fisetin, Quercetin, Tumeric, Gamma E and as a bonus: C, D3-K2 ;) p.s. Intermittent fasting and I HIGHLY recommend reading The Phoenix Protocol Dry Fasting for Rapid Healing and Radical Life Extension: Functional Immortality it's an eye opener. Would love to get your take on it.
Epitalon and Thymalin
Excellent video packed with highly valuable and well supported statements
For skin anti aging, I would say sunscreen and vitamin A. And for hair, I would say 5-alpha-reductases and minoxidil. Pterostilbene may be another honorable mention.
Minoxidil is life commitment

Wow, this was a great video. Thanks Sheeky!
Very interesting. You may find yoga study touches on aging too. Hatha yoga, very ancient teaching, serious studies are mostly avoided in the west at least.. Inverted postures slow the aging process. As do slow breathing. Great benefits for hormonal system. How about fo-ti? Gives greater energy in 2 weeks. And shilajit from high altitude mountains. (15,000' ft+)

2. Six hour time restricted eating window and quarterly 48 hr fasts
3. Berberine taken with milk thistle.
4. Theracummin or Longvida Curcumin
5. HITT and resistance training
If you aren't pre-diabetic or diabetic drop berberine/metformin. Recent studies have shown no benefit over excercise alone and in fact they reduce exercise performance.
Yes, I would like to ask you what are your thoughts on Epitalon?
I agree, the list can change so quickly now, the exponential growth in computing power is coupled with an ever increasing number of people researching year after year and it now seems like there's always something new being announced. A very exciting time to be alive...
So how do you prevent all the benefits for healthy cells working for cancer cells as well?
Great videos! Where can you purchase these? Such as reversatrol that will not be fake and have actual potency ? Is Berberine ok to take if you can’t get a prescription for metformin? Thank you :)
What to do????..........took some "Glynac"...............and now I'm crippled from the Induced OSTEOARTHRITIS ...............What to do ??????
HELP !!!
This is the first time I've heard of this. What I would do is what I do for rheumatoid arthritis. Very hot bath taking my temp up to 101º to 103º (preferably once or twice a week but not if fasting), fasting for a few days, keto diet. BTW a couple of years ago I fasted for 4 days a week for about 12 weeks. This really helped a lot long term. I'm puzzled about your reaction to glynac. I hope you're doing better.
@@HeleneLouise ...Thank You so Much !.....I am Much better.....the thing that help was stopping Night work (stocking shelves overnight at Walmart) !...and it was Rheumatoid arthritis....now everything is Normal....and of course i stopped the Glynac.....which i believe in my case and probably for some others is Pro Inflammatory !
Thanks Again !
But yes i did Feel amazing for the first 3-4 days of the Glynac, before the crippling joint pain and swelling started on day 5 !
Since I cannot get metformin without a prescription, I searched for an alternative supplement…
My research showed that Berberine has been found to assist in lowering glucose levels and to help regulate as well as assist in preventing Type 2 Diabetes.
Is this a good substitute?
Does this supplement have the potential to have the same effect upon our bodies as Metformin and its role in anti-aging??
Yeah, I think it interrupts MPC1 pathway in mitochondria also and activates AMPK so it is a calorie restriction mimetic
Thanks for making this video. Appreciated!
That’s great! May I ask what form and brand you take? ( Ca-AKG or Arginine AKG). Appreciate you sharing your positive results.
@@PandaA-cv3mm Hi Panda, I still take 300mg dissolved in water first thing in the am. Kirkman. Ingredients say Alpha Ketoglutaric acid 300 mg. 20 mg of that is calcium AKG and 10 mg of that is magnesium AKG. My PA also has me on a gram a day of apigenin before the NAD+ booster. That is newish. To me, does the same sorta thing: anti-inflammatory.
@@izzerstennisscorekeeper3971 That’s good to know. Thanks so much for sharing ;)

@@izzerstennisscorekeeper3971 I surely will. I live in the U.K. now but will try to get that brand as there aren’t many available that are well respected from what I can see. How quickly would you say you noticed a difference in inflammation? Best wishes 😊
My top 5: Benfotiamine(fat-soluble B1), Niacin, PQQ, Astaxanthin, Phospholipids(Antarctic Krill)...

@@juliontrump7539 what's your first category list? Please kindly elaborate.
Sheekey keep up yr informed analysis. With regard to healthspan do u have any views on proteolytic enzymes and/or proresolving mediators to reduce inflamtion and repair.
What is the best NAD+ precursor - NR or NMN?
I take these at the moment: Hydrolyzed collagen peptides, Hyaluronic acid, NR, AKG, Apigenin, Quercetin, DHEA, Ubiquinol
I think TMG should be used to counter the negative effect of sulforaphane+niacinamide reaction . What do you think ?
Thanks. I take some of these like fisetin episodically. Likewise, with apigenin as a senolytic and CD38 modulator. Very true, dose matter, as well as duration.
What is a CD 38?

I'm reading that berberine can substitute for metformin.
I'm glad you mentioned ND38, this might become more and more important as a precursessor

Great info. Anything on car t and cancer? Cure?
Thoughts on Glucosamine, which may reduce all cause mortality - maybe by improving mitochondrial function?
Id be really interested in this, I know there are mouse and worm studies on longevity along various studies looking at people who take it as a supplement. Its an interesting one as its a really cheap supplement.

Pretty fair, but quite pricy.. To start with its good to go with Biosil + Astaxanthin 12mg + Curcumin + Sulphorafane + Berberine + 5HTP/Gaba.
Phoebe Samui, which brand please?☺

Can I use berberine to substitute for metformin ? since I have no access to a subscription from a doctor
I would also like to learn this. And, will berberine deplete vit. B12, or does it have dangerous side effects?
It is much safer..berberine, goat's rue and or bitter melon are good subs..metformin is not good for everyone although I personally use it on occasion..

I've heard cakg for anti aging only
What about sulforaphane for anti-aging? isn't Nrf2 activation better than taking anti-oxidants directly?
Epitalon and Thymalin. Peptides baby

The study population was comprised of military veterans, mostly male. Veterans often have higher rates of toxic exposure related to their military service - lead exposure from ammunition, in particular. There may be some interaction there - it is difficult to search on the topic since 'lead' is a homograph. I did manage to find one article that looks interesting but of course it is paywalled:
