What's up guys welcome back to the channel today we're going to take a look at some of the upcoming trends in the world of Mens Fashion 2019.
Trend #1 - Sage is The New Color
Now there were plenty of trends incorporating bright, vibrant colors which is what you'd expect in the spring and summer. However, darker shades of green really stood out in a number of different fashion shows and this color for this particular part of the year stands out to me because it's a darker and more neutral color than you would expect.
I anticipate a lot of men still focusing on bright, vibrant colors so if you want to separate yourself from that consider using darker more muted tones.
Trend #2 - Who Wears Short Shorts?
Short shorts are next on the list, and this became a trend with swimwear a while back too. It's gradually moved over into non-beach attire as well. I've always felt a little self-conscious about wearing shorts that come up this high, but as I said in the video, I'm 100% an advocate of pushing yourself out of your comfort zone even if it's just occasionally.
So to start with this trend, I picked up a pair of shorts from Target that are still short since they sit well above the knee and you can experiment with making them even shorter by cuffing them.
Trend #3 - Clashing Patterns
This one is a difficult one for me to visualize myself participating in. I love how free you can be with a trend like this though. There are almost no rules to this trend so you can be as impulsive as you want. However, I think clashing patterns to this extent goes against a lot of the more traditional schools of thought when it comes to bringing balance to an outfit.
I would recommend starting with more usual and conventional patterns that clash before you jump straight into trying to pull off large colorful patterns and graphics. I think having experience balancing the classic patterns like stripes and polka dots will help you tremendously with this trend.
Trend #4 - Double Breasted Jackets
This one I'm excited about because I don't see many men wear a double-breasted jacket in the spring and summer. So this is a tremendous opportunity to wear something different than what a lot of the people around you are wearing.
Double breasted for those of you who may not have heard the term before refers to a jacket with a significant amount of fabric that overlaps and usually you would see this managed with two sets of buttons.

Trend #5 - Hiking Sandals
So I wasn't expecting myself to say I was for this trend, but I'm coming around to it for sure. Still not ok with socks and sandals being worn together although with the way things are trending that could eventually become a trend we see appear.
For this, I would also recommend something like ASOS they don't have an incredibly expansive library of sandals to choose from however they are very straight forward cost-effective designs, and they should lend themselves very well to a variety of outfits.

I have always liked using darker green shorts in the summer. Green can compliment so many other colors. I also use different styles of Sanuk shoes instead of regular sandals to round out my style.
Not a bad alternative to the sandals by any means! You're right green goes incredibly well with so many colors and a lot of the time I feel like it can still get overlooked (by myself included). Thanks for checking out the video too man.

No not too casual or young at all! Especially if you’re pairing lighter hoodies with things like dark wash blue jeans and white converse or fashion sneakers. I think there’s plenty of ways to almost “dress up” casual elements like hoodies. Thanks for checking out another one of my videos Askmewen!

Hey David! Thanks for checking out the video! I love my Converse and I consider them incredibly versatile shoes. In terms of which shoe is "trendy" right now in the fashion sneaker world, I would say New Balance is really doing an excellent job. Adidas and Nike also have excellent options available though. The Nike Mid Blazer 77 Vintage is one of my favorite shoes. I would think more about flexibility and longevity when adding shoes to your wardrobe. Then when you've covered the "essential" list look at some of the more unique fashion sneaker options and think more about the styleand flair they can add to your wardrobe than the brand.
