Very important info here that applies to all detectorists… i noticed you turned them on near your ring. Always start them up holding away from any metals. They calibrate when you turn them on, if you start them whilst on metal they will calibrate to zero and will not work or reduce your working distance. This may be why the f-pulse had very different results when restarting. Test it for yourself guys.
I’m not trying to sound skeptical of your review but I have a Garret Pinpointer and once you turn it on , you press the power button and hold for a second and a half. You can now quick press to cycle through the settings, it will beep according to the sensitivity level. Basically one beep is low power, two beeps is medium power and three beeps is high power. On high sensitivity, it will respond to a target more than 3” away.
No problem. It has 2 modes. 3 vibrations ( depending on sensitivity setting ) and 3 tone/vibration ( depending on sensitivity setting ). Basically, you have six choices based on a High, Medium and Low sensitivity setting in each of the two modes. I want to say it also has somewhat of a ground balance feature once the pointer is in contact with the soil. I never use that feature so I can’t remember exactly what it does. I also recommend running it in the Medium sensitivity setting because low is weak and high will cause the unit to report on targets beyond the initial target you may be seeking. Just my personal preference. Just like your detector, there’s a learning process. On the medium setting ( in either mode ) it will activate about 2” from a coin such as a penny. Activation distance is relative to the size of the target. So if it activates, say six - eight inches from your target, you know it’s not going to be a small coin but probably a large portion of iron. Just thought you might like the information. Keep up the awesome videos and thanks for sharing. Be blessed and stay safe.
Hi, In the video, when the first measurement is 4 minutes and 15 seconds, the result is very poor. he said the first time you opened it... the first time, you said... Then at 4:22 seconds he said you wanted to turn it back on What is this if not an adjustment like he talk about? Then at 4 minutes and 33 seconds into the video, he say the sensitivity seems to change after rebooting. Therefore, the detection effect at 4 minutes and 38 seconds is significant. If this isn't an action that changes sensitivity, what is? he should know very well,.... Garrett's detector also uses a power button to change sensitivity... But I don't see he adjusting the Garrett's sensitivity or trying to reboot. Did he dare to say that such a test is fair? It's not like he said there was no sensitivity testing... he is apparently escorting Fisher Labs... In fact, I think that if he reply is that you did not read the manual clearly and misadjusted it, I won't take it seriously either therefore **I think each of this channel all of the test and evaluation videos needs to be rechecked.
Really nice comparisons, however I would have liked to see you adjust the sensitivity on the pin pointers and also try them in water, wet sand and compacted dirt.
I have a GP pointer. I wouldnt say stay away. it is really cheap and makes a huge difference compared to blind searching your holes for targets. if you havent got a lot of money this is worth a try. I like the fact that it isnt too sensitive (although I dont find it particularly poor in terms of sensitivity). I find that I want my pinpointer to have a short range so that I know that I'm in the right spot, is that not the point after all? What I dont like about the GP pointer is that it has one tone. the shorter the tone lasts the further you are away rom target. The tone stays on for longer as you get closer (you can actually see this in the video). This is not as great as a pinpointer that progressively beeps faster as you get closer in my opinion. The bigger reason that I would stay away is that the quality is inconsistent from unit to unit. I have owned two. The first one worked flawlessly, it made metal detecting so much more fun. However the second one seems to false read in some soil, soil that the first one did not. So that is the gamble. However at the price point the first one I bought was absolutely perfect for me and did the job. thanks for the video, I found it very useful!
I agree I have one I paid 14$ for and it has impressed me to the point I'm getting another for a back up, not sure if I found one that is made alot better it looks different from other gp pointers I've seen!
Great review, thanks for taking the time to compare these. I opted for the F-Pulse, and it's an amazing pinpointer. It takes a little time to remember the settings, but has incredible depth penetration in any soil type. No interference with a VLF type detector, but can sometimes cross-talk with a PI detector. The F-Pulse does have 16 different frequencies (via Frequency Shift) to choose from, so you can usually find one or more frequencies that will play well with almost any detector. I did see one review online where the F-Pulse just was not compatible with a PI type detector (I think it was a MineLab, but could be mistaken). I got the Fisher because of the depth and because it works so well in mineralized soil. Cost for mine was $120 and I think it's worth that ... all of the good pinpointers are pretty expensive.
Thanks! I appreciate your comments and insight. The Fisher is a great device and I was impressed with its sensitivity settings. They all have their pros & cons, and yes, they can be expensive!
The GP pointer you tested is an older model. It doesn't have an increasing tone as it gets closer and closer to a metal target. The newer versions do (the GP2, TC-110, etc).
Yep the GP pointer for the price is where any new detectorist needs to start out, since some of those pointers are as much as they want to spend on a detector, or even their whole entry level hobby. It is waterproof but only below the speaker port, so it's fine for searching wet sand at the beach or in surface mud etc. It will pinpoint down to about 0.05 grams (direct contact) which I think should be the real test for a pinpointer. You've already determined that your target is out of the hole. For that price, the GP pointer also comes with a holster and a tether. They also come in a range of colours, not just orange. Detection range for a large coin is about 1 1/4 inches or slightly more but like I said, I don't think that's so extremely important as long as you can get the pointer close enough.
It's like you knew when to release a video! I am looking for information about pinpointers because I want to replace my €20 (Chinese) old pinpointer. By the way, it served great for 5 years. My friends suggested Garett but none of them had Minelab, I decided to be the first ✌️
Glad to hear this was helpful. I purchased all of the devices, so I’m not trying to sell anything. Just trying to provide information for people who love the hobby. All three are great and I think you’ll enjoy the Minelab. Best of luck!
Wish I had watched this review earlier. I’ve always used the Garrett Propointer, however I find they don’t last more than 6 months before being becoming erratic. Gone through about 4 of them. They’re good whilst they are working. I tried a Mine-lab next, it was hopeless. That 1 lasted only 2 months before going erratic. Now bought 2 x GP propointer, they are not sensitive at all. You basically have to be right on top of the target before it registers. They’re both destined for the bin. Looks like I might try a Fisher next!
I appreciate you sharing your experiences with the different brands. You may want to look at the XP or Nokta. I’ve done reviews on both of them but haven’t used them in the field yet.
If you were to take a coin and run it down the side of the geritt till it sounds then pull it back till the sound stops. You will get twice the distance. I'm not sure if it work on the ether brands. Let me know what you think
If youturn on the GP pointer with a coin pressed on the end of it then remove the coin when it gives you the "ready" beep, the sensitivity level is a lot higher
I had the gp, didn't last long, now i use a nokta or have gone without a pin pointer. They make things easier and harder at the same time. Sometimes less to keep up with is better.
I appreciate the feedback. I’ll probably be sleeping in the dog house when my wife finds out, but I have a XP on order. My plan is to do a follow-up video, testing the different sensitivity levels as well.
Any info to share on using these pinpointers to find linear targets such as copper tubing used for propane lines and copper electrical wires that are not powered? Both could be considered to be semi-infinite in length with the propane lines perhaps 12-16 inches down and the electrical wires only a few inches below the surface. Thanks
Pinpointers are good for getting close to a target. I would say within 0-3 inches depending on the sensitivity setting. For what your describing, I would probably used a metal detector followed by a pointer when you think you’re getting close to the wire or pipe.
The fisher needs to be turned on away from any metal. Shortpressing the power button while turned on, re-adjusts the sensitivity. Cool feature on the fisher: it uses AAs and they last forever.
It kind of depends on how much you want to spend. All detectors will find coins but some of the more high end machines are more specific for prospecting. I would check out Minelab’s lineup. They have a range of detectors that will fit any budget.
Are you sure that the Garrett was at full sensitivity? I ran the same test on a 1936 Mercury dime with my Garrett Pro-pointer AT and was able to detect it at 2¼ inches.
It was on the factory default setting which is medium sensitivity. I'm planning on doing some follow-up tests with each device on every setting to see what the differences may be.
All of them will detect gold to some degree. For example, gold rings or nuggets. It gets a little trickier with smaller items like earrings or flakes. I haven’t specifically tested these on those types of things, but I’ll try to incorporate that into my next video.
Not to knock all them but try whites bulls eye 2 black has Sen adjustable for straight down and 360 9 volt with light about $70 or so depending where you buy it been using about 7yrs pretty dang good give it shot maybe do another video using it and others that was cool demo.
Enjoyed your video. I was wondering what I would do when my White,s TRX goes bad. Guess I better start looking for a used White,s as none of the pin pointers you tested come close to comparing to the TRX. Thanks!
I’ve had 3 out of the 4. Garrett, GP, and Fisher. Your comparison is pretty accurate. I get better performance out of the Garrett than you do, but the Fisher is still much better. I like using the Garrett though, only for the fact that it pairs to my headphones.
Thanks, I appreciate your comments. I’ve always used Garrett equipment so I was a little surprised by the test. I was out detecting last week and used both the carrot and the Minelab. I didn’t notice much difference.
I feel like you would want the signal to activate closer to your target for a few reasons. The fisher activated too far away in my opinion. One - what if there are multiple targets. Could get confusing and you could lose one. Two- it seems like you would search more because of the distance it activates from target.
Pays to go to speedy cash outlets as well found a few garrett pinpointers near new and new fracton of price and lucky gold fields picked up a 40 mine lab. Pointer sun-baked as but still in operation to day.😂
Raw basic was GP. Plain and simple but didn't last long. A drop or two and I was buying another always under 20 bux. Broke down bought a Carrot and glad I did. All I need is a pointer so I don't use all the bells and whistle. Wished Garret made a plain and simple that would last. They would sell the hell out of them, 3 to 1.
I’ve never used one in that manner, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. I guess the concern would be the size of the material you’re looking for. It would probably hit on small bits of precious metals, but I don’t know about tiny flakes. You would probably need to set the sensitivity level to high.
You should evaluate the Nokta Pulse Dive. It's more sensitive than the Fischer, has a flashlight and 60 feet water resistance. It can also be upgraded to an underwater detector. Personally I would spend more money on a high end pinpointed than a metal detector. Finding silver coins in black sand at the beach is so much easier.
The Nokta is not more sensitive And it’s heavier Got both But. Now under friends recommendation. Going to try the Quest xpointer pro That’s is also PI And fully sumergible
One pinpointer that should be put on here and it's probably the best of all of them is an XP MI6 I also like the Garrett carrot but the MI6 outperforms it 👍🦀
My gp pointer works from a fraction over 2 inches or 53mm. Mine is better than the gp u displayed. It does multiple beeps and one solid beep plus vibration apon the find.
That’s an interesting question. Some metals will block out the signals of other metals. For example, iron will sometimes mask precious metals. Aluminum may also cause interference, but I don’t know of anything that completely blocks it out. Non-metallic substances that are extremely dense would be interesting to test.
I just bought the minelab pro-find 35 yesterday. We took it out to try it out today and it was causing way to much interference with my whites mxt. Is there a setting I am missing? I had to turn off my detector after I found a dig then use the pinpointer. After about 20 uses the battery that came with it was dead. It just kept shutting off. Luckily I had a spare. It was kind of a pain to use.
That’s disappointing to hear. I’m not surprised about the battery. Sometimes the ones that are shipped don’t last that long, especially if they are off-name brands. The interference issue is challenging unless you have a frequency shift feature. You may want to try another pinpointer to see if it works better with your detector. If so, I would return the Pro-Find.
I started with a orange GP Pointer. Absolutely hated it. Upgraded to a real Garrett carrot and love it. I recommend to get a quality pinpointer. Don't skimp out and get a cheap one.
*I think one thing this comparison fails to rate or grade, is the way they respond to targets. I find that that’s far more important than the overall sensitivity and depth. Because when you dig around in there, you’ll be close enough anyway most of the time, however giving you the proper feedback as to whether you’re getting closer to the actual target or not, that is something that’s super important to me. And not all PinPointers have the same feel in that regards.. Otherwise, great ad for any of em* 🤣👌
That’s an excellent question. I just compared the Garrett, Fisher, Minelab and XP. There’s not a huge difference but the XP Mi-4 has the strongest vibration followed by the Garrett. You can check out my full review on the XP in another one of my videos.
You omitted in your report how difficult it is or is not to change out the battery in some of these pin pointers because one or two of these is a nightmare from what I’m to understand.
Yeah, it’s hard to cover everything. I really haven’t had that issue with the ones in the video. I did notice on the XP MI-4, that the top is way tight and a challenge to unscrew.
Enjoyed the video, however I would like to see the different levels of sensitivity. I don't always want to locate at a longer distance (max sensitivity). I often use the different levels for different conditions. Example, lots of trash I will use the lowest setting.
Great point. If the range is too broad, you may pick up multiple signals. I’m planning on doing a follow-up video to test the different sensitivity levels on each device.
Thanks! I just bought a new Carrot straight from Garrett and it states it is waterproof up to 20 feet. They also claim it has increased sensitivity. I haven’t test it yet.
I saw you adjusted FisherLab's sensitivity to maximum, But I didn’t see you adjusting Garrett’s sensitivity. Is this kind of testing unfair? Because they all have three-stage adjustable sensitivity...
I tested each device as they came out of the box and I didn’t adjust any settings. I agree, a better test would be testing all levels of sensitivity on each pinpointer.
I have the 35 2016 ats still in box gp pointers are ok as a back up cheap 40 in minelab very good. If i do one and 2 dollar coin hunt i save and only spend finds on pinpointers take the sting out marked up prices.
Very good point. If they're look like a Garrett and the new price is way cheap, then they're definitely fake. Too many people hsve fallen for that Chinese copying (in looks) trickery. Lol
There are a lot of different brands and it would be hard to include all of them. I would have loved to have featured others like the White’s and Nokia but I don’t own all of them. I recently pickup a XP Mi-4 and I’m working on a video for it.
I didn’t. As stated, I was testing them on their factory settings as they come out of the box. Increasing the sensitivity levels would produce different results.
@@mdutah-insearchofmormongold And I went to a detector dealership and that's selling the carrot and he opens the box and let's people play with the pinpointers before they buy them And also don't buy them And leave them on any settings and you may have gotten a pinpointer that Wasn't on the factory settings to start with.. and it sounds like it was on the first settings and not the second one Like you thought it was supposed to be at and you couldn't tell that the boxes was ever opened up and been used and Any future test you do, you should of put everyone on the highest setting there is first time and then go to the lowest of settings and I have a carrot and I am looking to get a XP 4 Or 6 but just looking for now and you wasn't on the right setup for the Garrett Carrot straight from the factory....
@@carolrice2063 That’s a great point. I purchased all of these off eBay so there could have been that possibility with the Garrett. If you’re looking at the MI-4, check out my other video where I do an in-depth review on it.
I’m trying to find a metal detector or pinpointer than coin alert me when there’s a silver quarter mixed in with about 100 clad quarters when spread out on a table. Do you have any suggestions?
I don’t think one exists because the clad still contains copper and I’m not aware of any that will discriminate between that and silver. You can check out my video on the Nokta pinpointer which has a feature to discriminate between ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
@@mdutah-insearchofmormongold not everything is on factory settings outside the box and A dealership will let you test it out before you buy one or don't buy one and there goes the straight out of the box settings and possibly why the Garrett Carrot was not hitting it that well..,
I think pointers are kind of frivolous and a novelty. I find it just as easy to grab a handful of dirt and separate it while running a handful underneath the coil until I find my target. 🤔
Not really. Good luck in finding an object sitting in the side wall in a dug hole , when your hole is not directly above it. Good luck in finding black silver coins in wet black sand on a beach. You save so much time with one.
That’s kind of funny. We’ve all heard that excuse before lol! I’ve never messed around with replacement bodies. Maybe check with Garrett directly? I just got a XP yesterday so I’m going to start working on another video.
If money is limited , spend it on the detector and get a cheap pointer, did not use a pin pointer at all for first decade or more of detecting.....then bought a carrot and lost it after a month of use..replaced it with a 20 dollar cheap import a week later....just as happy. ...Most important thing in this great hobby is LOCATION....stress on that one
As a guy that only saved up enough for the metal detector, the cheap $30 GP Pointer works really well for the price.

They also Ground Balance so ya, you can start them in the air away from everything or start them on the soil.

I use a Garrett and love it. And it uses a 9V battery the same as my Whites prizm 4 so I only have to buy one kind of battery.

I had them all in 1 year nokta by far the best awesome bit of kit. Bad point no lanyard hole.
Thanks. I appreciate the feedback.
Also you could save money on batteries if you get a battery charger and rechargeable batteries just a suggestion.
Great suggestion, thanks!
Aren't pinpointers supposed to be for closeup pinpointing after locating with a big more expensive coil detector?
Sweep first?
Regards, Jas.
Yes. They are used to find the target once you start digging. They will save you a lot of time and effort.
Enjoyed your video. I was wondering what I would do when my White,s TRX goes bad. Guess I better start looking for a used White,s as none of the pin pointers you tested come close to comparing to the TRX. Thanks!
I keep hearing that from a lot of people. I’ve been looking for a Whites but haven’t been able to find one.
@Metal Detecting Utah - In Search of Mormon Gold Whites was bought out from Garrett. If you need any Whites products repaired contact Garrett.
Great points! Thanks!
Pays to go to speedy cash outlets as well found a few garrett pinpointers near new and new fracton of price and lucky gold fields picked up a 40 mine lab. Pointer sun-baked as but still in operation to day.😂
That's a great suggestion. I've never thought of looking there. I buy most of mine off of eBay,
Dr ortek mt6 pro £49.99 works at 2 to 3 inches . Why pay over £100 ?
The adjustable sensitivity on the carrot is great for finding difficult targets in the hole.
Thanks for the comment. My plan is to do a follow-up video testing the different settings on each device.
The setting on that test was set to the lowest sensitivity imo. Mine picks up silver at 6 inches open air or more
For the carrot
Thanks for the heads up!! They work for you, I think they are all good!😮
Thanks! I appreciate your comments.
I agree. I’ve gone through two regular Garretts in eight years. One I submerged and it drowned lol. I like the Carrot though. It seems durable.
Would these work well for crevasses and panning in Rogue River? I have never panned before actually, but these look like they will help a lot?
I appreciate the recommendation. I have not tested the Nokia. I’ll have to check it out.
The Nokta is not more sensitive
And it’s heavier
Got both
But. Now under friends recommendation. Going to try the
Quest xpointer pro
That’s is also PI
And fully sumergible
@@Tesorosaprofunidad I haven’t heard of those other two. Thanks for the recommendations.
One pinpointer that should be put on here and it's probably the best of all of them is an XP MI6 I also like the Garrett carrot but the MI6 outperforms it 👍🦀
Thanks for the suggestion! I just won’t tell my wife that I’m going to buy another one lol
My gp pointer works from a fraction over 2 inches or 53mm. Mine is better than the gp u displayed. It does multiple beeps and one solid beep plus vibration apon the find.
I’ve heard there are different models of the GP with varying features.
Are there any substances that completely block a metal detector signal so that you get no reaction at all?
Great advice, thanks!
I agree, The issue I have with mine is if you move it over a target moderately fast it does not pick the target up
There are ways if getting extra depth from the gp pointers.such as taping a small coin to it just before it starts beeping.
I wasn’t aware of that. Thanks for the suggestion.
I appreciate your comment. That’s a great point!
interesting. I am going to try a gp pointer in the field having previously used garrett
For the price, you can’t beat it. Let me know how it goes. I’m curious how long they last.
im after a pinpointer with a strong vibration. Are they all the same or some stronger than others. Thanks
Good simple review I have the Teknetics which is basicly the same as the Fisher,, thanks for posting ......
Thanks, I appreciate your comments!
Confused 😮, please just to the point, which one the Best ?., please tell me, thank you
There are pros & cons to all of them. I like the Pro-find but I’ve found my go-to is the Garrett.
I just tried the same test with my GP with a fresh battery and it was 1 inch
BTW, the Carrot is only submersible to ten feet, like the others. Loved your Nox 800 tutorial.
Thanks! I just bought a new Carrot straight from Garrett and it states it is waterproof up to 20 feet. They also claim it has increased sensitivity. I haven’t test it yet.
@@mdutah-insearchofmormongold OK. The depth is an improvement. The adjustable sensitivity is valuable.
I saw you adjusted FisherLab's sensitivity to maximum,
But I didn’t see you adjusting Garrett’s sensitivity.
I've never used the GPs in the field. My go-to is either the 35 or the Garrett.
@@mdutah-insearchofmormongold yeah got them try FISHER PULSE BOOM TRUE 4 INS POWER HOUSE .
It seem's you wouldn't want it ot pick up too far away. The idea is to pin point, right?
Yes. Too far away and you could likely pick up multiple targets.
One thing about garrett pointers in England amazon and eBay are fakes had to send back. Even after informing both party's sellers are still selling.
That’s crazy. It’s sad you have to worry about imitation products on those sites.
Very good point. If they're look like a Garrett and the new price is way cheap, then they're definitely fake. Too many people hsve fallen for that Chinese copying (in looks) trickery. Lol
@nitroburn72 yes the weights the biggest give away the fakes are 30 grams lighter regington detecting had a good article about it.
The Quest x-pointer pro is by far the best pinpointer.
I’ll have to check it out!
@@mdutah-insearchofmormongold and I meant max not pro
The GP Pointer original of the SHRXY is very much more sensible that this copy used for you... But congratulations! Sorry my english
Thanks. I appreciate the feedback.
top notch... Whites TRX cheers!
Too bad Whites isn’t making them anymore
Why didn't u include xp mi-4 or quest Pro pinpointer
There are a lot of different brands and it would be hard to include all of them. I would have loved to have featured others like the White’s and Nokia but I don’t own all of them. I recently pickup a XP Mi-4 and I’m working on a video for it.
For those who do not know, the mercury dime is solid silver. So this is a test on non-ferous metals.
Good point!
GP pointer works very good for 15 bucks, no bells and whistles but still goes about same depth
Yes. If you don’t have a lot of money, it’s a good option.
How about minelab pro find 35 compared to garrett and fisher?
They’re pretty comparable. The Fisher seems to have greater sensitivity. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them.
I get about 3 inch on the AT Pro set at the 3rd sensitivity level.
That seems about right. You’ll see significant variations depending on the settings. I tested these on their factory defaults.
How to order
eBay or Amazon, but I would buy direct from the company if possible. For example, Garrett.com. That way you know you are getting the newest model.
You couldn't have had the sensitivity on the pro35 from minelab up to its max. I have one and it can detect further away than 3 or 4"
Excellent !
Thanks!
Wish you had done a Nokta Makro pinpointer too.
Sorry, I don’t have that one. I did purchase a XP Mi-4 and I’m working on a video for it.
pinpointer works on dimonds ?
None of them that I’m aware of, unless the diamond is in a ring. They only pick up metallic objects
I got mi-6 and fisher f pulse and definitely F-Pulse is better!
Were they all on their max sensitivity settings ???
Factory settings as they come out of the box. I need to do some additional testing at other settings to see what the differences are.
@@mdutah-insearchofmormongold were all new batteries used?
@@tedinvt4631 Yes. All new Energizer batteries.
@@mdutah-insearchofmormongold not everything is on factory settings outside the box and A dealership will let you test it out before you buy one or don't buy one and there goes the straight out of the box settings and possibly why the Garrett Carrot was not hitting it that well..,
I have dug thousands of coins with no pinpointer in the good old days
too much power can be a problem
I’ve used only a detector as well. A pin pointer will save you a lot of time and effort.
"Don't forget to bring extra batteries"
🤷♂️🤦♂️ - Sub'd
For sure!
You neglected to test the side sweep sensitivity for searching wider swaths
I appreciate the feedback. It is always challenging to cover everything in a video.
very informative thanks
Thanks!
I have a cheap pinpointer and it detector 3 inches plus.
Quest X Pointer , this thing is amazing far range easy detection with vibration
I’m not familiar with that one. I may have to check it out. Thanks!
Gp pointer makes more sense to me cause you have to be close to object which is what a pinpointed is for, means less searching
Yeah, greater sensitivity doesn’t necessarily mean more precision.
What price ❤
GP runs about $15-20. The others are $100 to $150.
How much pinpointed?
They range in price from about $15 to $150.
good stuff. thank you
Thanks!
The one not showed XP MI6 👍🦀
You can check out my other video on the XP.
My dog ate a Garrett AT Pro pinpointer. Perhaps you can tell me where you can buy a new body for him, how does XP do it ?!
That’s kind of funny. We’ve all heard that excuse before lol! I’ve never messed around with replacement bodies. Maybe check with Garrett directly? I just got a XP yesterday so I’m going to start working on another video.
We bought all of them and mine lab has issues big time
Just curious, what were the issues you experienced with each one? Also, do you have any recommendations on other brands?
Mine didn't work out the box mine lab
@@jimmydowdy5446 just received my 2 new ones from Mine Lab! We will see after the winter 😢
Interesting and nice video, my friend! Happy New Year!))
Thank you. Happy New Year!
F..pulse...minelab...Garrett...awsome pin pointers
Agreed. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them.
Great advice! Your most important piece of equipment is the detector.
what about XP Mi series?
I didn’t have one at the time but you can check out my XP Mi-4 The Ultimate Review video.
This test is inconclusive, there are multiple sensitivity settings on these pointers that are not explained.
Yes, these were tested on their default factory settings. I’m planning on doing a follow-up video showing all the settings.
How much?
They range in price from about $15 to $150.
Gp pointer its does claim waterprof
Yes, but when you look up they ratings, it’s really only water resistant.
minelab 1 1/2 inch looking at the video
thanx 4 sharing video n comparison very useful God Bless

You forgot to mention the Garrett Carrot also has a lost alarm.
I mentioned that feature on the Garrett (1:00)
Awesome information
Glad it was helpful!
Trust me a €20 aliexpress pointer beats them all… by alteast 1-2cm crazy right.. we are being scammed by those brands
Thanks for the comment. I’ll have to check out that brand.
My whites TRX beats all of them.
I’ve heard a lot of guys talk about how great the TRX is. It’s too bad they don’t make them anymore.
I still have one they are the best. I had one TRX fail about 2 years out of warranty, but Whites sent me a brand new at no charge.
