Damn I also wanted to post that but read ahead to make sure there are no copies
LUL
💀💀💀💀
I don't get it. The ooohhhh sounds funny and nostalgic for some reason. But I don't get the joke.
damn this streamer is not rude at all and likes answering questions imma go to his twitch
Be sure to make pictures of Mario with tits in chat, he loves that
I have never seen Aris sit through such a long donation message without skipping lol
he had more patience when there were less stoners back then
framedata should be an option in training mode for sure.
Tekken Bot Prime, my friend.
bigsuff or let it show on the moves like mkx does
Only for 4 dollars
It is for the low, low price of 3.99
A true hipster also swaps out springs and actuators on their JLF...
Beating Chloe and hittin them steaming combos while talking. Lord Aris, you have outdone yourself good sir.
Sees Louffy use a PS1 controller for Ultra Street Fighter IV at Evo 2014:
Everyone at Evo 2014: "I got this!"
Commentator: "LOUFFY HAS DONE IT, HE HAS TAKEN EVOLUTION 2014!"
Thanks for the aris rage at the end :D
Jeez you just bodied Yung P while having a casual conversation lol
When you cant afford joysticks and just using keyboard feelsbasman
Nataniel Gonzales last year I found a Pro Kai 4 for ps4/pc for half the price near christmas ;)
keyboard is good for inputting neutrals ;)
Hitbox lul
Oh my God, how poor are you? I live in a third world country, my salary of less than $500 and even living on a tight budget I own a Hori fight commander 4 and I have several Playstation joysticks lying around, lmao.
Victor Kruger maybe he is a student and doesn't earn money
wasnt that match between daigo and valle played on a cabinet im pretty sure and I think I heard a story saying that Daigo lost a game or wtv because he wasn't used to the bat top sticks
Daigo's cabinet had Sanwa parts.
I'm super new to arcade sticks. But I had to piece one together. The lever that came with it was.... "Used" to say the least. (Like used to a point activation the up direction would make the entire lever slide a good half inch.)
I installed a new JLF entire lever. I found I was pretty terrible in Ultra Street Fighter 4 with the square gate, and began checking reviews & forums & such to find what I was doing wrong. I switched the square gate out for a circle (yes a circle not octagon) and I must say - INFINITELY easier to do motions/have moves come out! Movement and attacks/flow feel natural and that hard crunch from hitting the walls of the gate aren't there anymore. Only 2 down sides I can find, are on occasion, crouch block isn't 100 percent reliable, you've REALLY REALLY REALLY GOTTA KNOW where that diagonal direction is or it'll just be crouch. And sometimes when doing half circle motions, accidental Jumps happen.
I believe I know why however. 1 the diagonals are due to there being less area in diagonal directions - and 2 because honestly if my stick stationary or weighed more (this thing is feather light). I think the jumps wouldn't happen like they do
I die a little inside when Drag's Slicing Sobat goes OVER a crouching character. That move is a MID. IT SHOULD FUCKING CRUSH LOW AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Aris looked & sounded like Yosemite Sam 4:12
that video of alex vs daigo is up on youtube ( its about time i played a japanese champion - alex valle )
Fun enough, The legend John Choi became champion 2 times in evo using his MAS Sticks(american arcadestick). Luffy won evo with
a ps1 controller, Infiltration won evo using all korean parts in his arcadestick. Soo pick whatever you want and play.
4:10 he gets mad but it feels like a good change. She was going to kick him 1st but he does a hop spin kick that misses since she's crouching.
He didn't get mad about them doing the low crouching kick; he got mad because the interaction didn't work that way before, and it had since changed... He isn't mad about what the player did; he's mad that what the player did made him whiff when it didn't do that previously. Two entirely different things
@@CGoody564 that's what I said. All I'm saying is seeing him get mad is surprising
that last donation is sick
didn't they play on the same machine tho?
JJames666male true lol
Yeah they did, both 1p side and 2p side, had Happ competitions and Sanwa joysticks as a means to play by preference.
LOL if American stick is so bad why are Marvel 2 players paying 500-1000 dollars for used MAS sticks?
Doesn't Lorenzo still make them? If I remember correctly if you get a Lorenzo, you have an original American since it uses the same tooling to create the stick.
@@nerdyneedsalife8315 I don't know I've never heard of a Lorenzo. Drop me a link or something.
@@HUNT3R737 Lorenzo is also known as iL (Industrias Lorenzo), who actually supplied Happ's parts until Happ went with another supplier. Also MVC2 used a different kind of joystick called the Wico360, which is considered by many players as the definitive joystick for MVC2
@@HUNT3R737 Lorenzo is the company that currently produces the Eurosticks, which are often WAY better than the current Happ Competition sticks. In fact, Industrias Lorenzo (aka iL) used to supply Happ their parts back in the 90s to early 2000's before Happ merged with Suzo. The iL Eurostick is technically the original Happ Competition, with Cherry switches and the nylon actuator. I highly recommend them over current Happ Competitions
@@HUNT3R737 Lorenzo (aka Industrias Lorenzo, or iL) is the company that produces American/European style arcade parts, mostly notably the Eurostick. The iL Eurostick is often considered better than the Happ Competition, because it uses the original parts that Happ used before 2005. It has cherry microswitches and the nylon actuator, compared to Happ using off brand switches and a PVC actuator. iL's buttons are also better than Happ's as they use the Cherry microswitches too. If you're looking for Convex buttons, iL makes them too, either the PSL-L-CV or their new hybrid button, the iL Jalisco button.
getting the qanba q4 stick cost me my kidney and i tried all 3 gates sq, circle and oct and at first the oct looked promising but switched back to sq.
I switched to circle and i never looked back😅
Try playing on an iL Eurostick they're way better than current Happ sticks. The iL Eurostick is the original Happ Competition before Happ merged with Suzo (iL used to supply Happ their parts prior to 2005), iL's buttons are better than Happ's as well. If you want convex buttons for an American stick, goes with the iL Jalisco convex buttons. iL uses Cherry switches on all of their parts. This argument to me is irrelevant because many Marvel 2 players prefer American parts especially with the Wico Perfect 360 stick
Squaregate Dragunov
*Daigo, looking at Valle:* his power levels are inferior, Nappa.
Hey buddy Thanks for the Video. Im barely getting into Fighting Games like Tekken/Soul Calibur and always wanted to get a stick. Im currently trying to see what to buy.
Where would you shop for arcade sticks
ArcadeShock.com Etokki.com FocusAttack.com ParadiseArcadeShop.com find whichever is closest to you. All are great parts stores.
Johnny Salami you're like dumber than this comment section allows and everybody is a fucking stoner
E-bay for a used stick and upgrade parts from the sites listed above
Johnny Salami
Your second name is salami so stfu
Tarik Islam your mom's basement
i can't believe they still ask about fightsticks, i swear they never stop. it's all preference, if you've been playing in an arcade for 10yrs and suddenly move to console, you'll be more comfortable on a fightstick, if you've been playing on a console in a front room for 10yrs you'll be more comfortable on a controller.
there are a few cases where a stick/keyboard/hitbox has an obvious advantage over a controller, i would say (mainly Select) plinking and piano inputs in sf4. push blocking in darkstalkers and some of the command supers like luminous illusion and shit.
i'm sure you can find more, but for the most part, preference and comfort
Camero56 If clowns still want to keep donating to our boy asking dopey questions that have been asked a thousand times before, then let them. Let Hagrid enjoy his free big dinner.
Idk. I think movement is easier on stick once you get used to it. Also, I can't OTGF on pad. Maybe once in 15 attempts. But on stick? 50% success rate and climbing.
How would a QCF button be disadvantageous? I mean, wouldn't it at least be just as good?
Daigo is a fucking legend
Do you just buy a new stick when your stick brakes ? I like nerdin' out & replacing parts .
James Barnett If your stick is able to be opened and taken apart then yes. I'm not sure about those cheaper sticks online like the madcatz smaller sticks that are like $60. If you want a good stick don't buy those, save up for the $150-$200+ sticks. Usually those are able to be tampered with to fit your needs.
It's easy to repair these things. Especially now that hardly anything is soldered in place.
That's funny for me personally I have an 8 gate only for old arcade games where I like to ride the gate galaga and digdug, my old arcades had 8 way gates, but my gate doesn't affect me much in fighting games because I don't ride the gate in those games.
American and Korean joystick levers are superior because they don't rely on springs to spring back into neutral and they do not rely on restrictor gates, either.
What do they rely on?
Bank Alexander a piece of rubber/silicone, it snaps back WAY faster and easier.
Thanks guys. Good stuff to know.
just put a heavier spring in there and you're set. Korean bat top is ghetto af
hayabusas, crowns, and seimetsus are just as responsive
"it's all preference but anyone that uses what they prefer is a hipster
@SchecterC7FR11 The sticks you use dont make you better or worse, especially not in modern fighting games where the room for error is far too big for any input to make a difference. You could use a 360 d-pad and still do well in newer fighting games.
@@benis9684 not true, played years with japanese lever, switched to korean and my execution got way more consistent after just a few days
1:09 nah, different gates help for different games (and characters) at least for me... If I play MK or SF I use a Square gate.. if I'm playing an anime fighter I use an octagon gate..
What stick does Aris use to play Tekken?
The first stick i got is the hori mini. Its an 8 way, but sometime is hard to get the df du bd bu directions. But it was a good starting point for me
What changed?
Why are battops with not-korean gate's so bad ? I could play this casual game Mortal Kombat X with Razer Atrox's battop better than balltop, felt more natural for my big hands.
They aren't really. But a Happ stick isn't just a bat top; it's also got no gate and a very heavy spring and overall a totally different feel from the stick you're talking about.
dilder top
Hey no pants , there are really good ranked games that happened on stream please upload them if/when you can
can someone tell me what arcade stick is on the thumbnail? thanks
MAS arcade stick
The gate on the korean sticks are on the top and built into the stick. The collar itself functions as the gate.
how did that uf4 whiff??!!
How the fuck can someone not do QCF motions?
イチジク w it seems weird to even think about it when you've been doing it for years, but literally 1-2 years ago, doing a qcf motion seemed so hard for me to do. And now that it's second nature, I can't even imagine the time when I couldn't do it, but I do know I struggled with it 😂
イチジク w he might be playing pad and asking his input to see which one he should buy, just a guess, i didnt read his message like that
Sometimes it depends on the person. Since owning a stick for 5 and a half years, I have loathed square gates because I fuck up my motions more often. With an octa gate it happens much less because it doesn't matter whether you ride along the cardinals or the diagonals, it always feels the same. On a square gate, the cardinals are harder to stay on, and my hands aren't steady enough to hold into a cardinal direction without accidentally jumping or crouching.
Also this is coming from someone who didn't need to learn stick because I was originally an arcade kid. I don't think any arcade in my region used square gate, or if they did, I was actually too young to have cared or remembered.
イチジク w in my first 10 hours of sfv I couldn't consistently do qcf. it's especially difficult under stress
I have always held my joystick in exactly the same way you mention it and square gate still gives me issues. More recently due to the movement required in Tekken I leave only my pinky at the bottom of the stick. It's probably not a grip issue at all, just how fast I do my motions. Square gate just doesn't provide the same kind of stability, and in my opinion, the cardinals are simply harder to stay on.
i.e. Seth's corner combos with the toe taps and dive kick in the SF4 series require you to jump then immediately hold down and press MK 3 times and HK once. I am much less likely to fuck up the straight down input on an octa gate than a square gate. This doesn't even account for heat of the moment situations where I just am not aware that I have actually fucked up the direction (the toe taps can be done with any down input, but the dive kick requires straight down).
Another example would involve doing any fast quarter circle or half circle motions where it's very common for me to either end the motion in u/f or u/b or hit the button when the joystick is still on d/f or d/b. Again, this happens a lot less with an octa gate. All of my recent short clips on UA-cam (except for the Steve Gatling Gun on pad obv) are done on octa gate sticks.
Wico 360 still better then any joystick out today
I've been rather annoyed at how different my moves feel from 6 I super surprised how clunky the game feels, it reminds me a lot of 5. I think they slowed the game down to make online matches smoother which they are but it feels a lot less reliable as far as predicting how moves are going to flow. I'm sure I'll get used to it and resent tt2 for not playing as well. I really don't like rage now, I was so happy to be rid of the tag system and they hit me with a new gimmick.
Honestly the practice mode is fine
does anybody know any good sites where i could buy affordable fight sticks?
Bonybm Maldonado www.google.com
Baren817 thanks so much
Wowthatsfail thank you
Try one of those entry level sticks from Mayflash and Qanba. Specifically the F300 and Carbon/Q1 models. They have a worse quality than the $150+ ones but at least they're cheap.
andresgv10 hey thanks!
Lol how is it hipster to use an octagonal gate? I like them when i use a Japanese stick because its closer to my fanta
Because it's not the default and you have to go out of your way to do it? It's not like it's a gravely serious remark.
God bless n0pants y Lord Aris
Square Gate = 2D Octagon Gate = 3D
that doesnt make sense
Djego also said Hugo is trash and lost to Valle.
gates are cheap pieces of plastic.... buy w/e u currently not have an try it for urself.....

How can i watch him stream live? I wanna send him money cause i love this guy he is funny as shit
Well gee, if only there were a helpful link in the decription of the video...
mcwaste actually, no. These videos are made by n0pants who looks back through aris' broadcasts and splices together highlights from his streams. They don't line up with the stream timing because he has to find clips and upload them. Might take a day, might take a week.
Oh ok. Thx
Lol keep it down, will ya?
mcwaste he only accepts $5000 donations
try that shit on my vewlix, see what happens.
If training mode doesn't exist, then people wouldn't be able to practice their preferred characters at their own leisure or test out the new mechanics. They wouldn't be able to comfortably try out new characters. That's why they're in fighting games. Just because you don't like practice doesn't mean that it shouldn't exist. That, in my opinion, was a seriously dumbass statement. And yet, he still uses practice mode.....
This is clipped out of context but I guess what he means is that this game has really anemic options for training, especially if you're not a Tekken head who has been playing for years.
🎮
Yo Im a total fucking scrub and have never played that game before. Whats that name of the pink cat ears girl in the video?
Derek Strohm
Lucky Chloe
Why is Chole so cute?
Do a review on an american Stick. Happ.
