Adding any chemicals/medication to your tank "may" result in the waters ability to hold oxygen. Even tap water conditioner can drastically lower the oxygen level especially the "Complete Water Conditioners". Aerate your tank a couple of hours prior to any treatment. Continue vigorous aeration for the duration of the treatment. After the treatment is over, a 50% water change should be made. In planted aquariums, wait to dose until just prior to full photosynthesis. This way the plants are producing max O2 . increase surface agitation after lights out and all should go well.

Killed 80% of my fish on recommended dose. Had to redo most of the water to save the fish that didn't die.
I am sorry to hear that. Thankfully you were able to save some fishy friends.
I feel it killed my Jumbo danios 7 of my 8 Jumbo Danios and my Blue acara. Never again...
Sorry to hear that.
Watching this video cause all my fish died only saved my beta named coco 😢
@@xobabygirlalice I’m sorry to hear that. It’s a terrible product.
Use 1 ml per 10 gallon no more no less and your fish should be fine but don't overdose because to do so can actually poison your fish
This is why I would never use it again and do not recommend it to anyone else.
I lost all my fish
@@nikki21gutta 💔
You probably didn’t need it ,your tank looks clean
Thanks. I know, I’m always striving for that perfect tank without algae. In some ways, I’ve grown to accept it as a healthy tank. The fish sure couldn’t care less. ❤️
Lol cause he did a water change
Lost most of my plants after adding that
You overdosed plain and simple - Don't blame the product , blame yourself .
Thanks for the comment. I didn’t overdose though. I followed the directions and even used a cap with ML marked. If you use it and like it, that’s fine, but I do not recommend it. I’ve even read about people that use it and say it works but does cause stress to aquatic life. I wasn’t willing to risk my fish and find out.
He doesn't realize that a pile of rocks takes away gallons from the tank
@@andrewshallum4242 that’s certainly a possibility. If that’s the case, pretty poor instructions and it doesn’t take much to overdose. Still a bad product imo.
Killed my fish😤
This video is false
Says you.
This product is the best, i only use api algaefix and never had a problem, not 1 loss in 3 years and i see results in 2 hours. Don't know what your doing wrong but I don't think it's the products fault
