Question for QotW: Travelling with warhammer? I’m going abroad to spend Christmas with family and I want to bring some models to paint when I have some down time. What do you need to do to bring models and paints etc on a plane? How would you prepare what your plan is so you dont have to lug too much stuff around? Any hobby hacks for model transport? Love the podcast, something I look forward to during my work week!
i've taken 4 months sabbatical from the hobby and just started getting my work area set back up and of course have you guys on in the back ground... love the podcast... can't wait to start pushing around some pigment...
Great if you actually want them, and everything inside. I was tempted by the current Xmas boxes but decided against it as I don't really fancy starting a new army any time soon.
I'm brand new to the hobby I bought Leviathan and about 30 mixed intercessors but I'm going to subscribe to the combat patrol monthly when it comes to the United States because that's just painless amount of painting for me and my four boys
I tried using Marigold gloves for spraying, but unless they're cleaned after every session (which is difficult with sprays) the paint will harden and turn the gloves brittle and unusable. Soap is a greener alternative to gloves. You just might have a black thumb for a week. Also, a QOTW: when using putty (greenstuff, milliput, etc), how do you make your details look sharp? Mine always come out looking like blobs or badly misshapen.
They did mention when they revealed the christmas boxes that they were supposed to have been designed to work well with the combat patrols/spearheads, with no real overlap and working well together for a bulk of an army
To the confusion on the sisters box, one of their detachments in the new codex is entirely focused on their Penitent units. Their Christmas box basically has everything you need if you want to build that way.
They did show off Horus Heresy jump pack marines as 3D renders, I think it was because HH players were not happy about how long it was taking to get jump assault. I think it was warhammer fest 2023 but they were Mk6
I know ironjaws can look great in black, put to show that army i would have to link to another paint studio who does commissions, so that might not be the best thing to do here 😅
The Tau box is a terrible number of points per model: It doesn't crack 500, and you get fewer actual usable units than the knights box. It's not that the miniatures are bad, but the game has made Tau way, way too pricey to run.. That super expensive riptide? It's far fewer points in game than a death wing knights unit.
That Pro gamer tag cracked me up 😂

It's useful when these boxes and existing ones (combat patrols, etc) don't overlap and instead complement each other.
Very much the case with CoS here
I am brand new, and really had my sights on the dark angels box to get in. But it sold out, so oh well, AoS and Ironjawz it is instead :D
Preordered 2 T’au battle force boxes, rebuilding an army I lost to a fire some time ago.

I got last years tyranids
one and it was a great addition to leviathan. Combined got around 1,500 points of new models for a good price
I also do "bling highlights" on metallics with a white gloss enamel.

After the magazine, it'll be even easier, with the help of your 24 Boyz. Have fun!
The "Joe Pro painter" banner was hilarious! 😂😂😂

Solid question. I look forward to finding out the answer

What is the model at the beginning that is given as a gift? Just saying "That model" is killing me.
It's a limited release Handmaiden of the Everqueen model - discussed in more detail on Episode 75! ua-cam.com/video/puGjqjLiEJ8/v-deo.html
@@SiegeStudios THANK YOU!
I'm building Ork and tau armies so new kill team vespids might be on my list if I can use them with tau and kroot unless I'm completely wrong 😂

They previewed renders for Sisters of Battle and World Eaters.
Joe the pro gamer creased me 😂
Almost every GW model is WORTH, but also OVERPRICED. Just this simple.

Did I understand the hobby hack correctly. Matt varnish, highlight the metal, satin varnish the whole model?
Army boxes are great if you want all the contents in it, and have time to paint them.
You get a deal vs buying models seperate especially if you buy it at a discount on top of that.
Can someone just send in a little Lamborghini toycar model, just because... 🤪
