Maybe your friends are enjoying the game and having fun. Maybe they understand that bf games launch poorly, but they know they get better. Maybe they know it's not DICE'S fault but EA for the early release, but they know dice will put work into this game. Maybe they see a lot of potential in the game they already are having fun in, and want to stick with it. Maybe.

Is it, though? Look at all of the sheep that pre-ordered this mess. EA/DICE clearly marketed this game to sell on Day One, and they achieved that. That's why they played up all the nonsense "selling points" (i.e., huge maps, 128 players, near-future, etc.). They don't care if the game plays like shit, or if people want to--I don't know--actually play the game. Their main goal was to sell this piece of shit to enough sheep as possible, on Day One ... and they did exactly that. As long as stupid people continue to pre-order games, and battle passes, and buying shit without even watching a single review, game publishers are going to keep pulling this shit ... and they'll continue to make ridiculous amounts of money doing it, all while they watch beloved franchises burn to the ground. The people at the top don't care; they just want your money. What they've learned is that it's just easier to have a good campaign, and sell the game on Day One, than it is to actually create a good game with longevity. That way, they don't have to deal with social media, and game reviewers, etc. When they put in half-effort, market the shit out of their product, and push for a $60 release price with battle passes and other crap ... they've already got your money: it doesn't matter if the game is shit. That is the "EA Way" ... and it doesn't matter how many times they do it. Look at FIFA, Madden, etc. All of them are trash games that pull in ridiculous sums of cash .... why? Because people are sheep.

What makes it worse is I can't seem to get any of my friends to play BF1 or 4 now. It's like they refuse to play a better BF to justify them buying this new piece of shit.
I kinda feel them granted I'm not playing 2042 because of its current state. But every time I go back to BF4 it just looks like I'm playing with Play Doh characters.

All Dice should have done is to release an upgrade of BF4 with upgraded graphics, new maps, verhicles, weapons, 128 players on the maps etc.

Yes. I agree with everything except the 128 player count. Don’t need it. It’s causing more problems than it’s worth. Honestly, I never played bf4 or any other bf and thought “I really wish there was a higher player count”

I think it could be a massieve gain when the 128 player map are implemented in right way regarding verhicles, design of the map etc.

People. STOP PRE-ORDERING GAMES. STOP IT. NO, STOP. I can't do this anymore. The only way we can make these multi-billion dollar companies put out a game that is finished is by not buying it until it is done. Please wake up. Otherwise the future is bleak as fuck where the game you buy isn't playable until a year after you purchased it.
I wish that these folks would realize that in the current climate, the easiest way to be profitable is to release a good game. APEX did it. I wanted nothing more than Titanfall 3. I loved the multi-player of TF2. Apex is a good game. It isn't what I wanted or what I play but shit. It was a good playable game and people caught on. I was so early on Fortnite that I actually payed for it. Loved it but wasn't what I wanted. Fully functional game but I couldn't keep up with building. I'm not even sure what I'm rambling about anymore but I'm tired of whatever it is.

EA hates QA'ing because it requires rubbing two extra nickels together.
I think the call in system would work if they fixed squads. Do that make squads at least 6 and only allow the squad leader to do a call in. Then limit it to four wheelers motorcycles and other light armor transport vehicles.

I absolutely hate the lack of textures on the vehicles. It looks like the texture maps are just gray with zero detail

I quit Dead Space 3 when I got to the space station with the giant necromorph electrocution part and I’d rather play this broken garbage than go back to that short experience since at least BF2042 would be funny regardless of if I have friends in the game.

The vehicle call in system can be an easy fix. Just give each vehicle a limit per team. For example, each team can only have two hovercraft active on the map at a time. This will limit the vehicle spamming and make things more playable. I am actually surprise this wasnt already implemented because it is pretty obvious.

It's nice to just see gameplay, thanks for uploading this to AJS Live! the game has its fun moments but they are certainly overshadowed by the game's many issues. Issues that require more than a day-1, week-1, or even first month fix. Pretty inexcusable and just reeks of rushed cash grab for game company stakeholders.

Yes this happened to me all the time. I have to do that quick equip thing and take the scope off and then put it back on. Stupid shit, don’t know how they didn’t notice it

I played battlefield 1942 single player when it came out, loved it. The moment these games went multiplayer exclusive I stopped.

battlefield 2042 in this game the mini-gun on any vehicles makes me wanna bang my head because time to kill take so long, its feels like you have to hit your enemies with 10 bullets on top of this your aim have to be dead on your target and I mean dead on. While your guns can kill enemies within about 3-5 bullets.
next is the explosion weapons from especially vehicles the area of effect for explosion is too small, for example if you're in a tank you pretty much have to hit your target dead on, you can kiss goodbye to splash damage.
currently these two things are really annoying.
Yea, splash damage has always been kinda tame in BF games. They actually just nerfed the mini guns on the hovercraft and I thought they were already kinda weak before that.
I think they should beef the mini guns and lower the radius of the guns instead of giving them an entire 360 degree radius. Mini guns are super powerful and would rip your limbs off in instantly. I should feel that punch.

instead of wasting my money on vanguard or battlefield, I spent 80$ with all DLC included, on insurgency sandstorm. A Way better game, it reminds me of the old-school SOCOM games. A very realistic tactical video game.

I use 3 rocket on a tanks is still alive… the hover craft is too fast for the rocket launcher. And my gun keep resetting to the default gun of the class that I pick. I can’t pick different gun, the gun menu is blank…. say whatever you want at least COD works.
Being better than vanguard was such an unbelievably low bar and they still fucked it up. They are so lucky modern warfare is coming out next year. Had it released this year, bf would already be on sale for 19.99

We have same minds Joe. I see details where 99% trash players are happ because 4k and 60fps and that is it. I can even predict if the game will be trash after first gameplay trailer. It happend to me many times.

I don't think larger vehicles should be able to be delivered. I don't mind an ATV or bike but anything larger is just overkill.

The iron sights designs on the weapons look horrible in this game, Battlefield went from being top notch First person devs to Mobile game levels of crap, it makes zero sense
