How to install Wireless Projection Ghost Lights (Courtesy Light)

- This video is for people who haven't got the courtesy lights on the door but still like to install a courtesy light with a fancy projection logo. This is a great yet inexpensive way to install a courtesy projection light and best of all it's wireless, so no need to drill or open the car door from inside. Works effortlessly and smart. For anyone who is interested in buying this product please feel free to search on eBay or Amazon.

Just a tip: use alcohol to clean the area you're going to stick it so that it will adhere stronger and not come off

ANOTHER TIP: 😊 Use a HEAT blower to warm up BOTH the part & the erea(door) that u will adhere it to. That will really help stick on✌

Finaly found a video from someone who shows on daylight how to fix these beamers. Its not diffecult but i needed to see how the place the magnet. And others video's are all made in darkness. So that part you can hardly see. So thanks from the Netherlands. 👍

Just got these! Someone said use strong velcro instead. I think I like that idea better so it's easy for me to change out the batteries when I need to.
Yeah could try that I never had any issues changing batteries because the cover can easily come off so you don’t have to take the whole unit off

Thank you so much for making this video. The box I received mine didn't give clear instructions and seeing this video makes all to clear as to what I should do. Question to anyone who may know... do you think a place like Home Depot or Lowe's can sell magnets that tiny? Sadly my kit was missing the second magnet. :'(

Amazon would have for cheap. Or even a local dollar store. Try a fridge magnet to see if it may also work
Might be anything reflective . Try a bit of aluminum tape
Check if it isn't stuck to your first magnet! Ours were stuck together. (temu)

Hi, I just purchased a set of these for my Jag! Looks AWESOME! BUT... I don't have a place for the magnet to stay & stick. That adhesive does not stick to where the magnet goes where I have the unit displayed on the door, is there another method I can use to keep that magnet in place? Some form of glue perhaps? Many thanks!

Can I manually turn it off if I keep my door open for awhile? Kinda strange but I keep mine open for work. Also was thinking about drilling a hole down in the storage area so it can hide in there better

I got mine,my car is Honda Civic 2014 but magnet is no where near to the device I.e when closing car door device sensor doesn't come to contact with the magnet due to how the cars door us made. Any help??

Sasha Smith - Ali are you sure you are putting the magnet adjacent to the wireless lights? Mine one definitely shuts off. Have a look maybe you would need to adjust it a bit

No. My wife kicked both metal pieces off and I’ve tried every kind of magnet; no go. For months I’m trying to replace these and this, and other manufacturers, don’t have the courtesy to respond. I’m going wired! Sorry.

The magnet needs to be resting underneath the sensor. Please find the sensor position and then align the magnet! Even though it has a mechanism of switching itself off after a minute but still it’s gonna east batteries quick.

Could you put tape over the magnet to make sure the magnet doesn't come out if you stumble or knock it over out of your car
To be honest nobody has managed to knock it out from my car it’s been years now. Secondly you could put light tape on it after all it’s magnet it should work.
How do you apply this in cold weather? The tape wont stick. I brought gorilla tough and clear double sided mounting tape and it still won't stick to the car door.
Hmm, I did this in winter time to be honest and made sure the surface was clean and dry where sticking the magnet. It’s not as weak as it looks, I still have it intact since applying it!

Did you glue the magnet down...I rather have a bigger magnet to cover more surface area...any ideas?
No didn't glue it, It came with 3M sticky and Its pretty sturdy.

Can i install these to a Honda civic type s? Cause the the plastic of on the door goes further inside the car,so I don't think the magnets will be under the wireless door light projector!

Just decide a place where you want the projection light and then make a mark at the bottom so you can put the magnet there 🧲

It’s really hidden at the rear of the door so sun shouldn’t shine there! I’ve used it in winter and summer sunny days with no problem! I can say it’s safe as long as you use branded batteries so they last long too!

Depends upon batteries, Duracell will last nearly a year

Idk if you going see this but I have bought two of them in June , and in August they stop working , I didn’t pay it attention I just thought it was the battery’s , so yesterday I finally said I want it back working so I bought new batteries and it still not working , won’t even come on
Hiya, sorry to hear that! Mine still works fine and going stronger just need battery replacement after 8-10 months. Do an initial inspection, see if the battery connectors are not corroding, it shouldn’t be because u just bought them a month ago. Also I hope water didn’t find its way in these devices as they are not water proof. Are they both not working?

Lisa, the magnet needs to sit under the sensor. Please make sure it’s underneath the sensor in order for it to work.
@@Adnankhanchannel1 it is under the censor I even tried it without sticking it on the car. Maybe there is something faulty
Lisa have you tried it before installing the unit on car if the magnet was working with sensor or not? Yeah could be worth establishing that first!
I have a question! If you want to take if off (the projector from the door) , does it leave those glue marks after?

Scarlet Skull there will most likely be a little mark, but I’m sure it will go away with time, maybe even a little bit of alcohol or soap will help.

I can’t get mine to work on my 2018 Honda nor my 2020 ram dodge truck. I’ve cleaned with alcohol just in case and I used gorilla tape, flex tape, and some other type of sticky. Can anyone help me please thanks
Is it keep coming off? I honestly just used the provided tape and it was strong enough to hold normal accidental knocks etc.

How long does it takes for the light to go off after shutting the car door? Mines did not turn off automatically
You need a magnet underneath the sensor to switch light off otherwise it’s gonna drain the batteries in a day or two
