One of the funniest moments of this scene in my opinion is a cowboy just sitting around so casually in the far left in the midst of this carnage. Thinking of that man just sitting around while Mongo was tearing the place about is such a surreally funny thought!

True fact: After a number of takes where the horse failed to drop correctly to to stunt rider's pulling on the reins, Alex was a little pissed off. In the final take (used in the movie!) Alex actually hit the horse!!! They say the horse was almost completely knocked out!

Pretty cool movie , it and Little Big Man were the drive-in hits that summer .

I had the movie on VHS and at the end it included the tv version's scenes but I don't have a vcr to check it hah.

From what I have heard, Steve McMichael, the Chicago Bears defensive lineman from 1980's and 1990's, was nicknamed Mongo after this movie character.
