I love seeing Robert keeping Cliff’s legacy alive.
Indeed bro
+ With that new Bass he Made a sound very Killer 😎👍🏻
I love watching live performances of this song with Cliff. RIP.
I am still angry about Metallica because of Jason Newsted. The great guy and musician was fired because of stupid attitude of the rest of the band.
@@R_R_BFired?! Jason left the focking band!
@@R_R_B Bare in mind, mate. It's been like 24 years.
40 years and this song still slaps like in 1984🤘🏻
So true. The whole Ride album still slaps like it came out yesterday 💥
For old times' sake. it would be so nice. if he brought out the original drums. let him play as loud as he wanted too. and let these boys have fun. like we did in the 80s. And I never sued. because of my hearing. I loved it.
omg
That's right. I've listened to this 5000 time and every instance is new. True progenitors of thrash.
Masterpiece
One of the best songs live never never get tired of hearing it
Cliffs legacy will live on forever!🔥
ODLOT!!!
Yup
2:48 😊@@goldenwolf8081
3:19 loved the total silence after the “it’s the last time you will”
Festival crowd 😂
I miss the little drum fills that lars do on the song tho
Gets me every time
@@themonk8606I think the complete silence is cooler
Absolute power!!!!!!!
I'M GOING TOMORROW TO THE CONCERT IN MADRID, I WISH I COULD GIVE YOU ALL A HUG
Trop de chance...
I'm jealous! Have an awesome time. ❤
The fact that this song speak about spanish civil War make this comment funny
Amazing video, you work for 40yrs to have $1M in your retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K into trading from just few months ago and now they are multimillionaires
Waking up every 14th of each month to $210,000 it's a blessing to I and my family... Big gratitude to Kate Elizabeth 🙌
Rob keeping Cliff's legacy alive, and James bringing out his Flying V his best friend in the entire world, for this song.
He have two or three replicas of the white Flying V, I guess the OG is not touring anymore
"We are metallica and so are you 🤘"James Hetfield
LOVE
Yes we are. 🤘🔥⚡
YEAHHHH!
They should probably share the revenues, in that case.

@@davidguilbert8741 live... Stupid i was there.
I was there when they were in Helsinki 9.6. It was amazing! I got to see for whom the bell tolls, ride the lightning, one, battery and more. Metallica! 🤟
They're old but they still sound good. Metallica is a fine tuned machine built for longevity. This cannot be argued.
They don't miss a beat best band ever hands down
@@travisbridges9171 wdym, Lars misses a beat all the time 😂. Jk

Top of their fucking game right now! 🔥🔥🔥
Great bass tone!!!!!!
20 years and counting Robert with the band this brother is home now 👏
It is clear that the bell tolls for Metallica🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
But they're still alive, thankfully.
And time marches on.
the bell tolls for everyone
I love Robert’s crab walk, very silly
He brings so much energy in the live shows🤘🏼
That has inspired me to get my electric guitar out because (note I'm only a hobby player) I can play the rhythm guitar to this.
Hey, Metallica’s some of the best stuff for a hobby metalhead to learn - even the solos are way more achievable than you think!!
I love you lars ❤❤❤❤
Holy shit so exited for the concert in my area 😈
Awesome! Love to hear all your songs live.
You guys are CRUSHIN' it! That's a good thing.
Robert killing it !!! \m/
He always looks like a fan who's getting a chance to play with his favorite band. Such an amazing energy and so much joy on his face all the time.
Certified Icons!!!!!
I’m going to both Chicago shows next month. This’ll be my 2nd and 3rd time seeing them live since October 2018
I’ll see y’all there! 😂😂😂

Outstanding performance
Metallica My Love🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘🤘🤘🤘🤘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘
That is the definition of metal music.
Take a look to the sky just before you die 🤘
That kick sound...I also loved that they wrapped Rob's pedal with a plastic bag probably to keep it safe from the rain. Good solution!
Been listening to Metallica since I was 13! 40 years later...Still listening to Metallica! Thee best metal band ever! Long Live Metallica!!!🤘🤘🤘
These boys went harder than ever.
I love Metallica been playing it since I was 7 my dad would play it every time still playing it today and now my son who was just born 8 days ago
I wonder if Robert somehow copied cliffs old tone from the album? It sounds killer! Also , it’s me again! The drum sounds ESPECIALLY the kick drum cuts thru very nicely! Doesn’t get washed out thru the mix
James … is kickin ass again I love it
My favourite Metallica song. It encapsulates everything great about them🔥
3:50 "It tolls for thee" is new.
He said it in the past already (around death magnetic I think, maybe also before that), then went back to normal and started doing it again in 21/22
Kirk Hammett said in an interview not that long ago that their music calms the soul. Some people see the aggressive attitude of the songs and think the opposite, but when Kirk said that, I was like, “Yes!!!!”
I need Metallica. I need their music in my life. I need their songs. Without them I am incomplete.
Hell Yea!!!!! Love when Rob goes “WA WA WAHH WAHH WAHH
The is on of their greatest songs great for them to be here and to rock the world!!!!🤟🏼🤟🏼
One of my favorite Metallica songs
They still sound incredible! I saw them in 2008 and it was the beat show of my life! 🔥❤️
Wow. What a performance! They're like big mountains on a stage
drums sounds so damn well!!!
That snare drume is amazing...
That phuck'n sound they have sounds brutally heavy & monstrous. Phuck'n love it!
That Hammett solo at the end was totally sick and just a little reminder from the best lead guitarist in metal that he hasn't lost it.
Was waiting for someone to say this. One of kirk's best live solos in a hot minute.
Hell yeah just learned this on guitar earlier then I see this lol
Metallica are still the best band for whom the bell 🛎 tolls 🤘🏻💀🤘🏻🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎤🥁🥁Metallica forever
Viva Metallica 🤘🤘🤘
What a beautiful intro there Rob 🥲🥲
🤘🤘They sound better than ever. Wasn't expecting to headbang to Bell Tolls tonight. =D
Rock on, Metallica!!!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I haven’t seen them this vibrant since the late 90’s, I love it ❤❤❤❤❤
The sound ...its 100% fucking great !!
Rob's bass looks cool! ☺👍
Timeless song!
The drums are badass
Damn I wish I could see them
❤❤
This is a place between life and death
Yeah 😎😎😎
Yeahhhhhhhhh🤘🤘🤘
My favorite song! 40years ,1984😊
Japan,KYOTO🎉
Praying for this to be played tomorrow in Madrid 🙏🙏
Thank you Metallica.
Y’all put on some incredible shows
I was there. Amazing show, even if there were some mistakes made here and there by Hammet.
The band was staying behind, avoiding the snake ring for the first 4 songs (FWTBT was the second song of the night), because it was raining all along since the beginning of the previous show (which was Bruce Dinckinson), 1 hour before.
The rain stopped afterwards and they started to move on to the snake ring. The mosh pit however was super slippery and I think I have injured my left knee while blocking a big bully during the Lux Aeterna circle pit, because it still aches to this day when I jump or do a quick extension on my leg).
What I can just say is that the Hellfest crowd has strongly improved since the last time they came in 2022: The front rows knew their classics as you an hear in the video, which wasn't the case last time where people barely knew Enter Sandman and Nothing Else Matters and that's it...
Hellfest since 2015 has been overrun with bunches of tourists, casuals and non-metal heads that just go there to binge party and goof around, and it has became "the place to be" for all the upper mid class snobs. The metalhead population has really been decreasing those last 8 years due to the high competition on buying the tickets (that sells in less than an hour), and you could feel it in the show. The 2022 Metallica show was really blend on the crowd reaction, and I remember standing at 15 meters from the front stage (couldn't get closer due to the crowd; I was just before at another distant stage watching Mercyful Fate performing, and had 5 minutes after their show to reach the mainstage), and was headbanging on Whiplash with another dude from Switzerland I met at the previous show.
Everybody were watching us as if we were some kind of retards that escaped from the mental asylum, and they didn't knew any song at all (we were at 15 meters from the stage).
This year was way better. Even Ulrich noticed it and mentioned it at the end of the show.
The crowd was more reactive, more singing, more jumping, and the pit much bigger.
I still managed to bother some tourists when Metallica started the show on Creeping Death and tried to start and "old School Thrash Metal Mosh Pit" (Knees and elbows style) and they managed to push me out of their range into another smaller pit 5 meters aside, which eventually became the big pit during FWTBT.
Not the best Metallica show, but definitively a good Hellfest show.
If you guys can manage to come over there next year, do not hesitate, it's a pure fucking Metal, hard Rock & Hardcore festival with so many scenes producing their own styles of metal.
It's worth the travel.
Amazing comment, I was there too, front row, at the barrier
Metallica is my favorite band and beside them, it was the best 4 days of my life
I wasn’t there in 2022 to see the evolution of the crowd, but this year it was totally amazing, I stood all the day long in order to be front row for Metallica and every people I met waiting for Met was definitely a big metal head
Hellfest was such an incredible experience that I’m happy to start over next year
Metal forever 🤘🔥
@@Jordan_R3Y There were lots of awsome bands on the mainstages that day: Crystal Lake, Summer Lands, Eternal Champion, Extreme, Accept, Bruce Dickinson, Saxon, Yngwie Malmsteen, and of course the Four Horsemen!
It was indeed a good HF (I've done them all so far, and they were all good), the Sunday was a bit like an underdog in my opinion: they could have diversified way much the set list on that day.
I am a big fan I love y'all music I want to become like you when I get older I can listen to y'all music everyday
One of my favorites!
I’m going in August for the Chicago show I’m so excited my only request that they play is harvester of sorrow and the thing that should not be for the second night
They played harvester of sorrow when I saw them in St. Louis back in September of last year. It was definitely my favorite song of the night. I hope you get to hear it and I wish I could go to Chicago!! Hope it’s a blast
@@loganerickson6873 thx it will be it is Metallica after all it’s always gonna be fun
