Uma coisa que era para eu ter falado na minha “análise” no final do vídeo, mas eu acabei esquecendo, é que o fato do videoclipe oficial da música ter sido gravado no Egito, não tem nenhuma relação com a letra da música. De acordo com o Tom Araya, em uma entrevista para a revista Rolling Stone, isso foi ideia do Rick Rubin, promotor da banda na época que gostava de dar uma de “visionário”, e essa ideia pegou a própria banda de surpresa, que ficaram se perguntando “Por que Egito?”. Inclusive, tiveram que gastar muita lábia para convencer o Kerry King a viajar, porque ele não queria ir de jeito nenhum.

Nobody else could play this song on the drums with the same feeling as Dave. He was and is one of the best drummers in the world. This song is almost entirely a drum solo with guitar and lyrics over it. R.I.P. Jeff

I agree they treated him like a hired hand ...hes top shelf metal drummer...I met the whole band once during divine intervention record came out...dave was a cool dude so was jeff...and tom was cool however kerry acted like a total dick like it was beneath him...after jeff died kerry just couldn't do what jeff did...deep down he knew hanneman was better...and jeff wrote alot of cool shit...and whatsup with the damn sunglasses all the time ...looks like a pussy to me...rip jeff hanneman u are missed brother thanks for all the riffs...

I know nothing about drumming/drums, but the first time I heard this song, the drumming really stood out, whereas with other songs, I don't notice the drumming half as much. This guy is obviously exceptional.
Dave is a monster on that drum set. One of the true masters.
The deeper you dive into Slayer the more you understand that Jeff and Dave were the Slayer sound
No. all of the Slayer personnel have contributed to Slayer and they are all replaceable in Slayer. Lombardo was replaced twice. So was Paul. Henneman was able to bring Gary Holt and Slayer continued. .The reason any of the core members can be successfully replaced is because Slayer is so strong even stronger than the players.

@@danday3741 That's simply not true, you even misspelled a legends name, It's Hanneman. But Jeff was actually the creator of almost every single hit song that Slayer ever put out, fact check it if you don't believe it, but he was the primary contributor to their biggest hits.
Nothing more metal than hearing Jeff and Kerry soloing between each other live. RIP Jeff.

Jeff would’ve made sure Dave was paid every penny. He didn’t want anyone else behind the kit.
Allegedly he was only paid something stupid like $700 per show and there was typically no less than 10000 people in the crowd.
It's sad because you'd think making it as Big as Slayer did you who have loyalty amongst friends working so hard together..Sad really that money comes between friends..And Dave could see them being ripped off ..
Posso me considerar privilegiada, por ter essa idade e me lembrar da primeira vez que ouvi esses deuses, isso no começo dos anos 80' a imagem em minha mente de quando meu irmão entrou porta a dentro do apezinho que morávamos no Centro velho de SP, meu mano tinha um amigo, dono de um sebo, o cara era muito Trash, fazia umas ponte aérea pra garimpar uma novidades e vender pr brazucas as podreiras foda que rolava na gringa... Ofato é que quando eu ouvi aquela fitaK7 no gravador sofrido que a nova geração não faz ideia do sofrimento kkkk eu enloquequeci e tô doida até hoje pelo Som desses caras, fui me despedir deles em 2019 no Centro das Américas /SP, pela primeira e única vez sai às lágrimas de um Show do SLAYER. No final Tom nos encarou por quase 10 minutos minutos com as mãos cruzadas sobre o peito em postura de gratidão sem dizer uma só palavra ... e Quem viu: VIU!

Actually been credted to Jeff him self By Tom. This is his Masterpiece. That the rest of the band partook in. Loosong Jeff to that Spider bite and decaying due to it changed this band. Who to say the Shit that happened with Dave would have if Jeff did not die.
People HATED it when it came out - i LOVED IT - HEAVY.... slow, ponderous..... Fast can NEVER be heavy
This without a doubt is the best SLAYER line up. They lost a step when Dave left, then when Jeff passed it was over imo. The dynamic of the band changed.

Jeff Hanneman proved, who was a shit solo. It was the guy who did not hear the own music to play, I was going to drink behind the stage between one song and another, I got live and played any scale of notes, the shit that gave in the head, everything was wrong live.
Too much music was good, just like the album, until the late Jeff comes by shitting everything.
It arrives that hurts the ear listen to him in this song.

If Dave wasn't the drummer from day 1 I feel Slayer might have a different sound in Jeff n Kerry's writing as well later with Tom. Jeff was a huge punk rock fan. I've been on board since 1985 seen them multiple times. Dave is a great soul as well. He always use to light up a room with his sense of humor. One of favorite all time songs.😎✌🙏

Saw Slayer when they toured this album in 90' at the Los Angeles Sports Arena with Testament opening and it’s still the most intense show I’ve ever been to.
I was at the Jan 15 1990 show at the LA Sports Arena. Testament opened and Suicidal was too but was banned from LA at the time. So we got Megadeth Rust in Peace over the house system. Still the greatest concert I've ever been to.

Alguns anos atras eu enfrentei um período extremamente difícil da minha vida, a decepção e desilusão por uma pessoa me empurrou para o abismo da depressão, e o que me ajudou muito além de Deus, foi o Rock ouvia, musica por horas e horas, refletindo sobre algumas traduções de letras, ou simplesmente viajando na melodia das ondas sonoras... E percebi que um dos mecanismos de Defesa do meu organismo foi praticamente deletar aquele sentimento da época, não consigo me lembrar de quase nada daquele periodo Sombrio... 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Aí amigo, tudo bem? Sabe, às vezes as coisas mais simples na vida, como curtir boas músicas, trazem conforto emocional tal qual uma terapia convencional. Também no último ano passei a "desligar" da tensão através de bons canais.
Trabalho em saúde pública e notícias ligadas à pandemia e a angústia das pessoas em geral estavam alterando meu psicológico. Foi na música e espiritualidade (não em igreja exatamente) que encontro serenidade. E sim, nosso organismo reage positivamente, independentemente do tipo de doença que estejamos enfrentando. Maaan I was at this show with the Big 4, it was whole funking awesome, can't believe it's been 11 almost 12 years..! I was a big Metallica fan back then in 2010, I knew about Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax and some of their songs, but after this concert I started listening to all of them and now I love and know almost every song of Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax! P.s look at 0:58 how perfectly the clouds and weather match the song, so sinister... \m/, so apocalyptic, like telling you what is about to happen..
