Michel Legrand was once awarded the Grand Prix de Rome for classical music composition. But he was able to play with the best jazzmen and authored unforgettable movies scores. A true prodigy... His collaboration here with the huge Tony Bennett is a must-see
the best tony Bennett ??
0:35 "Watch What Happens" 3:22 "Once Upon a Summertime" 6:00 "I Will Wait for You" (swinging version!) 8:53 "What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life?" 12:44 "You Must Believe in Spring"
came for Legrand but amazing to see that show biz charisma that Bennet has, his cup runneth over... I believe Paul Anka had that too. Superpower charisma. Ronald Reagan too. many shortcomings can be overcome if you have that. Everyone loves you.
From the sound of the applause, I believe there were more people on stage than in the audience. Small, yet sincere. Michel Legrand and Tony Bennett belonged together. A fantastic composer whose music could only be delivered by a fantastic singer....backed by a fantastic orchestra.
Everyone forgets the people who wrote the English lyrics for these songs - people like Norman Gimbel and Alan & Marilyn Bergman. Without their contributions these renditions wouldn't be possible.
dommage que You Must Believe in Spring" soit coupé a la fin , mais merci pour le partage .Un vrai Bonheur d'écouter ces merveilleux musiciens et ces deux géants que sont M Legrand et Tony Bennett :)
Civic education must tell the whole truth. For example, we must examine why "All men are created equal" excluded Blacks, LGBT's, Native Americans, women etc.. Only when we examine the truth can we hope to better live up to our cherished ideals. We must be woke to heal America.Prayers.
i would have liked to have seen a concert like this with michell and striesand singing songs he wrote ..from her ja mapelle barbra album.done in her prime......alas its not to be.....
what a big mistake ! :-) the greatest is of course ... Frank "old blue eyes" "the chairman of the board" "the voice" Sinatra ! :-) but Tony is second :-)

No olvidemos a Edward K. Ellington.
Tom Jobim, Ennio Morricone...
Gran comentario. Legrand es el último genio del jazz.
Não canço de ouvir essas maravilhas
super...
when legends meet ....
4 people dislike this? How can that be?
Tone deaf - what to do?!?
at 12:44 a wonderful song from Young Girls of Rochefort, never heard in english
Michel Legrand
It's Tony poetry/rap session... Love to see what an Italian/American drums up AMORE...
Only tone deaf people can dislike this video out of jealousy for the rest of us
On Facebook listen to Tony on: Friends of Tony Bennett
Bello

Tony sang so as to reveal the beauty of the material, Streisand used the songs for self-promotion...not the same thing, not even the same profession
What the eff is this???????

Tony is a better singer but Frank was probably a better overall performer
