How does the mechatronic in the automatic transmission work? What is computer diagnostics, maintenance and repair? All of this in the second episode of the Softelectronic series. - Авто та транспорт
This has to be hands down the best explanation video of ANYTHING I have ever watched. That was so in depth and information full in a nice way that wasn't an overload of things to think about. Whoever was in charge of making this video needs to make more and a raise
Where's the double like for the comment. Absolutely the best.
I second that , now I know what mechatronics is from the inside out 💪🏾
The Mechatronic just failed on my VW and after watching this video I'm not even angry any more
Everytime I watch a video about automatic transmission I learn how much I don't know about them.
I have the same issue
I’m not a transmission expert nor a mechanic, however; who in their right mind would come up with such a complicated design just to conveniently use an auto or
Semi auto as a manual. Just stick to old fashion way ffs, either go full auto or full manual.
If I knew about this problem I would have purchased my car with a manual gearbox.
Plain and simple
Ditto
I appreciate the editing and 3d work efforts applied into this videos. 🙏🏼
This video did one thing exceptionally well. It absolutely convinced me, that from this day forward, to strictly buy cars that offer a manual transmission.
I am on your side. Automatics gave me one advantage of mastering and loving manual gearboxes.
This is absolutely amazing! Never thought such complexity is required for changing gears! Also hats off to the person who made this video.
Explanation is just mind blowing. Hats off!!
Been working on a 722.9 for a while in a Mercedes that i bought and although it is a pretty simple transmission there is still alot that can go wrong with it. Thank you for helping me understand more about the function of this transmission valve body, conductor plate, and solenoids. Great video.
This must be an alien technology.

After 100 000km, i Changed the whole mechatronic in my AISIN q tronic gearbox like 6 month ago, the gearbox now feels perfect.unfortunately in the small country i am currently found no one can diagnose the mechatronic other than thru OBD reader. For a company found in Bulgaria its impressive.keep it up
Thank you, great video. I have a much better understanding and appreciation for the the people who repair these transmissions.
Wow. Found this in my recommendations and it mad more sense then the classes I took for my Tech masters certification.
Oh God that's an example of how far humanity can go in making things complex
Planned Obsolescence!!!
@@rockerpat1085 complex does not necessarily mean planned obsolescence
I'm so happy I have a manual...great video btw
😂😂👍👍
Until an internal hydralic clutch breaks on you, then not so much
1Mexikaner Far cheaper to repair anyway.
@@1mexikaner very cheap to repair
Automatic transmission seem complicated but it’s pretty simple not as simple as a manual but it’s no CVT those are complicated
Best explanation video ever. Its hard to find video that gives common cause and how to fix them. Love this video
Just what i needed to watch and hear thanks.
Amazing presentation!
Thank you for sharing such useful information and taking the time to do all those animations
I was worked 6 years for Nissan as a CAD engineers and the "fluid pad" is the most crazy item for the automatic transmission.
Wow..what a great vedio....I have a B.tech in mechatronics and systems and I have been working in the automotive industry for four years now...I have been able to understand the automatic transmission mechanism and many more better than my colleges because non of them studied mechatronics..😎😎
awsome and simple for any enthusiast to easily understand these complex piece. well done.
Amazing piece of engineering 👏👏
I was wondering, now i know! Thanks for the clear explanation.
Great video explaining the mechatronic unit.
Thank you for this fantastic explanation guys and gals!
I love Bimmer transmissions / ZF units...
I've rebuilt many of them..
This video is so detailed even the sales pitch 😁
they use the same boxes in the Aussie built Ford falcons too
Great explaination..
Basically the major cause of seal/piston failure is excessive metal particles suspended in the fluid that become abrasives in tight tolerance areas...the materials in the friction plates are probably the biggest culprit
hats off gentelmen.. thank you for such a gem
Awesmome 3 D animation. I shared to my playlist and shared.
Excellent presentation!
This is the best video i have ever seen..
Great video! Thanks very much for posting
Crazy good quality video to promote a company and services! Although I wonder how expensive such repairs can be. Perhaps it makes a lot of sense to just swap a broken transmission with a used one from a junkyard yard.
Great detailed video with many information.
The best video ever about mechantronics.thank you.
Very professional, they even have a machine to check the fluid path pressure and solenoids function .
This is incredible!
You guys make the best videos
Excellent video explaining everything clearly
best video ever about mechantronics.thank you.
amazing animation !
Great video!
That is a amazing video,Thanks
Respect.thanks for explaination.
Well made and educating...
I have a Mercedes repair garage in Dubai and we are repairing all these types of problems its really a good explanation video gr8 job

Best of, Never saw a detailed video like this before, and thanks GOD is for the same car that i ow, thanks guys 🙏🙏🙏
So for which model that belongs to ?
Great mechatronics I like this work ❤️
Thank you for the explanation
excellent video
unbelievable great video
this video is excellent!
I’ve read the 2009 and later VW DSG units are pretty reliable but after watching this I think I’ll stick with manual for my next car. Looks complicated and complicated usually means expensive. Brilliant video though 😀
this is not dsg, dsg is more fragile, i have nag1 and no problem, i drive it as manual, when change gear, release gas pedal, change oil every 15-20 000km
@@makantahi3731 DSG is not more fragile, It's stronger and has much less to go wrong.
VW Dsgs arent that good, the 6 speed is pretty decent but the 7 speed has a lot of problems.
Thank you
Very impressive!
Professional work
Very helpful video...thanks
Excellent
Thank you for this video. I really appreciate you ❤️
Great video
Nice video, very clear explanation
P. S nice promotion video as well
Great job
perfeito.muito bem explicado
I wish i had such kind of explanation in my engineering college....
Thanks for helping us to be at least aware of the level of new technologies. Please may you do record in an easy English or speak in slow manner so that those who are English leaner could understand it.
Judging by the contact numbers this company is based in Bulgaria which is surprising that such an advance company can be based there! I'm very glad about it as I myself am Bulgarian. Well done guys this is probably one of the best videos about auto trans! You showed the world that even from such a poor country you can still be one of the best worldwide.
great animation
This is.....badass🔥
it looks almost impossible to repair. i love it!
If you know any basics, it’s the easiest trust me

So nice thank you
Thank you so much for the info.
many techs many probs ...happy with 6sp mt ...real drive sensation
Holy cow. So much to go wrong. It's amazing how reliable automatics are when you see this.
mark Philpot there are sealed and there is no oxygen inside so the oil doesn’t degrade. The oil runs in near ideal conditions, that’s why they say it’s lifetime, however over many miles it still might need an fluid change. But then if something gets wrong and oxygen comes in it will degrade the oil much quicker
Recently replaced the speed sensor and runs like a charm. 06 clk 350
Can you let me know what the fault was prior to the repair?
internal Speed Sensor - Y3/8N2 , gear locks in limp mode to reset you have to stop the car , i sent the conductor plate to cicuitboardmedics and they fix it saves you a lot of money, if you are mechanically inclined you can do it yourself there are plenty of videos how to do it
@@gregdali1011 - thanks for the answer, great help!
good job
We are living in a disposable world now, replacing the valve body or any part for that matter is becoming a more viable option. It is sometimes cheaper then reconditioning and has a lot more of a chance to fix the problem and extend its operating life.
This is 9/10 times the advice of experienced transmission technicians - just replace it.
👌ME GUSTARÍA ESTOS VIDEOS EN ESPAÑOL 🙏
awesome . Excellent
Man this is giving me cost anxiety for the repairs tomorrow. God, why did i have to buy a Volkswagen T5.
T5 VW are not terrible if you got the right scanner
@@ezent8451 Yeah we will see what the mechanic says on Wednesday next week. I checked with an OBDLinkMX and it had no error codes
@@AridersLifeYT the DSG is and can be verry a good automatic transmission, but every automatic has a point where it mabey breaks down completely or by a little marge. i recently had my clutch pack+ flywheel repaired for my 2011 golf 6 DSG 7. and i founded out that also the mechatronic unit needs to be replaced or repaired. so and i believe the mechatronic is the most expensive of those 3 parts that are essential for the DSG! so i thumb for you and lets hope the best.
@@AridersLifeYT What did the mechanic say?
My 1.4 tsi cupra is leaking Dsg fluid from the gearbox today. Anyone know what this could be. It’s all under the engine bay and dropped down the side of the gearbox and engine. Where do I start?
Good information
Holy cow! That’s the Mercedes 722.9 (7 speed) transmission.
WOW AMASING!?!?!!?!?!?!1
I have a Mercedes Benz B class turbo and the gearbox is 722. 801 (seven speed ) automatic transmission. I certainly hope that this gearbox never goes wrong because I fear that the repairs would be expensive ! So far I am very happy with this vehicle.
Super,i like this
Awesome! 😎
I'm also learned this video is helpful
Thanks.
thank you for your always great videos!
i wanna ask you please, i have a subaru xv crosstreck, i performed myself a fluid change following the MT chanel here in youtube, ive always flet something strange and i thougt the new cvt fluid could fix, or at less soft the problem...it kept going and i saw a video explaining how often this transmition have a failure in the tork lock up solenoid...ive measure my solenoid and i saw one of them not measures properlly... it seems to be it...bad solenoid...my question is...can a bad solenoid ruin or brake a good torque converter?...should i try to fix this as soon as posible?...subaru dosent sell only solenoid...they give the entyre valve body...its ok if i buy only solenoid from amazon or ebay?...thank you very much.
wow detailed 100%
Nice video
Daamnn, after watching this, i changed my mind. I prefer manuals than automatic transmission.. But they're so rare in modern cars...:(
Just pick aisin automatics made, they were more reliable than most zf, getrag or borg warner auto trans.
BMW still offers H pattern manuals in most of their brand new cars.
Perfect
Brilliant
I've been trying to find a video explaining how the mechatronics work, and I'm so glad to have found this.
Now I feel better informed as to the costs involved in both the diagnostics, remediation and if necessary, replacement of this entire component.
Sincerely appreciated.
Q
verry nice and brief how many have been repaired? I've only ever seen replacement
