As always, thank you for supporting me and my art! - Навчання та стиль
Putting your face on the internet to strangers can be intimidating. I think the video format worked really well. It's nice to learn about the person behind the camera and their experiences.
“Taking that first step, and putting yourself out there is the hardest part.” Very true.
Love this content! So glad to see such a genuine sharing of experiences. It takes a lot of courage to be willing to take the step and put yourself out there like this, but so many of us can relate to your journey and take comfort in knowing and hearing about someone that's been through many of the same things. I'm glad you decided to do this for your community and for yourself, and I hope it was as enjoyable to make as it was to watch. Hope you do well in your ventures to come, and would love to see more content like this in the future. Long live Floowandereeze!
Thank you so much, and for the feedback! May the winds be ever in our favor, haha.
Thank you for sharing your story. The multiple instances of you doing something new is inspiring. Thank you. I also started painting full art cards because of your videos and it has brought me a lot of happiness. Thank you for sharing your work.
That makes me so happy to hear! Painting cards can be so relaxing. I'm glad you've found joy in it.
@@artofthecards it is very nice. I don't have much experience with painting, so they don't look great yet, but I am learning. I also have used your tips and videos and combined it with graphic arts to start printing and making my own holographic cards when it's something too much for me to paint. I have always wanted to do that. Thank you for showing so many skills like removing ink from holographic cards. It has made making my cards even more enjoyable.
Your crafts are really good, I love them. Keep up the grind!
i got into yugioh because my brother (who is 13 years older than me) gave me all of his cards and taught me how to duel when i was 7 or 8. he used to participate in local tournaments when he was younger.
That sounds like a good brother. :)
14:20 That's Konami for ya. They really should offer refunds for releasing cards only to render them useless with emergency bans shortly after. Imagine buying literally anything else and couple weeks later the manufacturer is like "yeah you're not allowed to use that no more" .. that's not how you treat your customers
Yeah, definitely not a good customer experience.
That was a lovely story! Its so brave to share it, it can be very intimidating to share things that are so personal but this was amazing 😊
Thank you for taking the time to watch and respond! I appreciate it!
You have a great smile! Awesome video
Thank you!
I also grew up watching the show on kids WB. There was a local card shop we went to, and I would mostly grab from the singles box. I had starter deck Kaiba and eventually starter deck Joey. I liked dragons a lot back then, now I'm like "there's enough damn dragons 😂". It eventually was too uncool to be into Yu-Gi-Oh, esp late middle school and high school, right around when 5Ds was around (ironically, the coolest of the shows). I would still play some of the video games because that way I could kinda keep it to myself. I fell off it for a while while I focused more on music communities, but I did find a few friends there that played Yu-Gi-Oh sometimes. They taught me synchro and xyz summoning and I took to liking it again. Then Arc V came out, I followed it as the episodes aired and watched fan subs. I loved pendulums a lot, built a DDD deck. I totally understand the trust issues with Konami, because that deck wasn't cheap, and then when Links came out DDD was basically unviable. I never played in tournaments or anything, but I have been teaching some friends to play more casually.
Thanks for taking the time to share your journey with yugioh! I'm grateful that the culture has shifted so we don't have to be closet duelists anymore.
Yo hastings??? That's a throwback. Fun story your art is insanely good too
Someone else remembers! Woo! Thanks for taking the time to watch/respond ^_^
Love this!
Love your work!
Love your art you're so good at this
You're a true legend!
Wonderful video! Love your work
Thank you so much!
Just stumbled upon your channel this morning. Always super happy to see another DN scrub in the wild after all these years, and am absolutely obsessed with your drawing videos.
Really glad you didn't let the bullies win in the end of things
Same here, when I was a kid I lived in Japan for 4 years and got into the Yu-Gi-Oh show, Yugi was my favorite character and I never miss an episode, my original favorite was the Blue-Eyes White dragon, my brother and I share a bond with that card like Seto and Mokuba, for all those years of binging every season I got into Elemental Hero, Galaxy Photon and Cipher cards, they were so easy to understand same with the effects and abilities. That's the best thing about not just about the final farewell to the arts on the cards, but the childhood memories with them we kept😊
Those memories are priceless. Thanks for sharing your story!
Loved your story! Thank you for sharing. Videos with face cam are great too, please do more if you're comfortable with it.
Thank you for watching, and for the feedback! ^_^
Great video! One of my favorite parts about the community is hearing stories like these, how you got into yugioh, favorite archetypes, etc.
Thank you for taking the time to watch!
I love hearing peoples journeys of yugioh i love your story love your content its super amazing! Hero player here hopefully you make some hero arts i really like your common cards art too keep working hard ❤ just subscribed cant wait to see more
Thanks so much! There are a few HERO cards hidden around the channel, especially in the year in review videos. I think Absolute Zero is the only one that has a full video currently.
oooh nice to see you in camera, also, I really love your art 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you! ^_^
Wow it's so cool to see how much we were similarly inspired! Never got as far as playing in regionals though lol. Very awesome story Steph!
Thanks for taking the time to watch, and being on this journey with me for so many years! ^_^
always brings me so much joy to see a fellow girl in the scene 😃 this was so lovely and inspiring to hear your story Stephanie, although I am much more on the collector spectrum of things these days, this has made me want to start playing again!! Thank you again for sharing xx

Same!! I think we go through different seasons with yugioh. Sometimes life is too busy to play as much as we'd want, but it's nice we can still collect, and when seasons shift again and we can play, it's great when we can jump back in, even if there's a learning curve lol. Thanks for taking the time to comment, Charlotte!
I love you, Friend!!!❤❤❤
Omg you are the best artist I have ever seen
Thank you so much, that's very kind.
Do you have a email Do you buy any chance take on clients? I want my whole deck done lol❤😂
Would be cool to see your collection!

Most fun Yu-Gi-Oh decks I played were trooper monarch controle around 2007. It was very versatile and had so many synergies. Around 2013 I also really liked malefic skilldrain because you stopped your opponents monsters effects without affecting your own monsters which were huge ATK beatsticks you normal summoned without any costs from your hand. That deck was wild. Then skilldrain got banned or limited and the deck wasn't really playable anymore.
Thanks for sharing! Skilldrain is back at 3 if you wanted to jump back into the game. The current format is very diverse and fun! Going back to one of your other comments, Links no longer dominate and I rarely face the same two decks at a locals in a given week. It's great!
This is g-g-g-g- great! :D
This made me laugh, thanks! ^_^
Obrigado pelas palavras encorajadoras! Nunca é tarde para começar a jogar novamente se você tiver a oportunidade. ^_^
How I got into yugioh is very similar to almost everyone else, I got the chance to watch the anime. What got me into the physical card game is a bit different.
My family move alot, so making new friends was a bit hard, saw a yugioh card and got some for me and my siblings. To say we were happy is a bit of a understatement. XD
The cards give us an opportunity to Express ourselves and having family bonding time. Which we will always be grateful for. As time goes on,the more I wanted to invest into yugioh. Then I discovered cydra and the idea of rogue. Ever since then, I been happy to play rogue decks with anyone.
That's great that you got to play with your siblings, too! Rogue decks are the closest I think we get to the anime idea of everyone having a unique deck that reflects their personality. Best to play what you connect with. 💛
16:50 that's when I quit playing Yu-Gi-Oh altogether. They forced this mechanic on the playerbase and Jesus the duels took forever. I played Yu-Gi-Oh mostly online and people were endlessly chaining effects with their link summons and XYZ monsters to the point it became ridiculous. I imagine it takes even longer in real life. I was like okay it's time to play something else. To be honest I don't like Konami. I think they're terrible 😄 they used to be a very popular video game developer but they screwed that up too. Their leadership makes weird decisions
You look like the type of girl who saves egg shells to put them on plants
I do, in fact, crush up egg shells and work them into my garden. 😅
@@artofthecards HAHAHA i knew it, love your content so much, tanks for sharing your amazing art
