@@mbira1122 Unfortunately, we don't have any good recommendations as we didn't like our accommodations. I would recommend staying on Caye Caulker though. We loved that island. Hope you love the Cayes!
I spent six months in Belize back in 1983 with the British Army . There was only a small grass airstrip then but we could get a helicopter out to San Pedro at the weekend, courtesy of the Royal Air Force. It was very quiet, chilled and laid back then, and a great escape. There were only a couple of hotels and only a few tourists, but I remember meeting a loverly young lady called Laurie, from Fort Worth, Texas, in a little beach bar and we ended up on the beach till the early morning and watched the sun rise.
Tarpon feeding is undoubtedly a unique and exhilarating experience, and your video beautifully captured the grace and power of these magnificent creatures. It's wonderful to see the joy and excitement on the faces of those lucky enough to witness this spectacle firsthand.
I am visiting right now and your video came up, we are planning to do the cave tubing and zoo, we visited secret beach and got loss on the island that we are on, i am totally enjoying it, new friend here
This is such an informative video! I haven't been to Belize yet, but I'm definitely going to refer back to this if we do. I'd love the secret beach, the stingray beach and the food recos you made. Seems like a great beach destination 👌
Aww guys! You just unlocked a memory for me 🥹 we stopped in Belize when I worked on a cruise ship…we also took that little plane to San Pedro, and did the same tour, snorkelling with sharks! So happy to see this on your video 😭🥰🙏 The water is so beautiful at Secret Beach! All your vegetarian food looked great. Love how colourful Caye Caulker looks! And the water and sand….wow 😍
Headed to Belize in two days. Too late to rebook my stay on San Pedro but I will have a tour of Caye Caulker the day before I arrive on San Pedro, so I'll get to see both. Thanks for all the great tips.
Great job! Thank you so much for this! I think this video decided it for us. Your underwater photography is amazing. What did you use??? Is the water in Belize safe to drink? Would you recommend the resort where you stayed? What time of year did you go? Amazing work!
Many thanks! We used a GoPro for underwater photography. The tap water is not safe to drink. We didn't stay at a resort so don't have any personal experience, but we really liked visiting the Iguana Reef Inn on Caye Caulkers. We went in June which is just the start of rainy season, so it did rain everyday just not all day. I do recommend trying to go in the dry season though.
Such a great video! Best one I’ve seen-so informative and great filming! We’re going in August 2023 and are spending 4 days at caye caulker to do all the snorkeling and eating and relaxing we can and then on to four days in San Ignacio to see the cool little town, Mayan ruins, and now that we’ve watching your videos, make some chocolate! Thank you so much for your great content! ❤😊
She found us! She was waiting in a golf cart at the ferry port offering tours to the passengers. We just accepted! We were able to cover the whole island with her seeing the touristy side and residential sides. The touristy side is small enough that you don't need a guide but if you want to see where locals live then getting a guide is nice.
Such a beautiful and colourful video, your swimming and snorkelling skills have come a long way. Both snorkelling experiences looked fab especially seeing the turtle and so many nurse sharks, the sting rays at Mexico rocks came pretty close too! Congrats on going vegan both of you. If you make it further south I can recommend many great places in South America to eat!
Thanks Kirsty! Going vegan seemed so restrictive at first. But it’s amazing as the months pass it gets so much easier. We’re feeling stronger and healthier so I think we’ll stick with it!

It is better to encounter with the sharks when they are full after lunch and feeling lazy rather than finding them hungry and moving quickly I guess lol Thanks again for the food recos! Such amazing summer time vibes in this video, can't wait to visit Belize!
Such a great video and info! Thanks for sharing. We are actually thinking of which place to stay in Belize and your video came up! Were there places that took credit card (like restaurants/excursions) or mostly cash?
Yes there is a mixture of both. Lots of places take credit card, but there are a few small shops that don't. At some tour shops you can save 5% by buying with cash. However, all tour companies take card as well.
Love this video, we are planning to go to Belize if God permits, this year and this is one of the best video, I'm from Puerto Rico and I understood everything clearly, Thank you❤
This was in June which is the beginning of rainy season. June is actually not the best time to visit. Dry season would be better but we still had a great time despite a few June showers.

Caye Caulker was so bright and beautiful 😍 I would be excited to feed the stingrays. The water was such a beautiful color ❤️❤️❤️
Yes, I would. I actually think Caye Caulker has more for kids to do than San Pedro including tarpon feeding, sting ray feeding, and there was a water park by Lazy Lizard as well. Plus Caye caulker is 100% walkable. You have to rent a go-cart to get to be best beaches and water park in Ambergris Caye.

@@LucasWorldTravel thanks! I’m trying to figure out where it’s better to do the snorkeling excursions. I’d like a quieter stay which seems like would be Caye Caulker.
