Great job! The guy playing Han certainly looks the part. The guy playing Lando does a perfect voice impersonation, but his wig was quite distracting. But all-in-all, a brilliant little film! Keep it up!
This Star Wars fan film does something that most fan films fail to do, that being making the film feel like it was actually a Star Wars project. A lot of fan films don't capture the same vibe that makes Star Wars unique and identifiable, but this fan film does it perfectly. This had so many vibes that reminded me of the cantina in EP4 and the bar in EP2 and the production value is very nice. I love seeing multiple Mandalorians in the bar, which makes sense considering this is set before the night of a thousand tears. What an incredible fan film!
Man, I really appreciate this! I often think about how fun this project was to work on and how fun it was to put together, and probably the closest I'll ever come to being on a "Real" Star Wars set. I really appreciate the comments you mentioned because I really wanted to make something more than just a fan film and hearing your thoughts makes me feel like we did! The film is 7 years old but still holds as one of my favorite. Thanks!
@@DanMcBrideFilms hey no problem, I do really think this fan film is great and hope to see more stuff like this in the future, you're 100% talented, keep up the good work and take care
That is so awesome!! Loved the long shot at the beginning of the film!! Man, you can easily continue this as a fan series or something!!! Loved the little Starlord cameo!! It's a nice take to see how Han Solo got the Millennium Falcon! Well done, my friend! "Don't sue me please" made me crack up during the credits! Great job! Keep it up!
Chewbacca looks a little strange- looks like he's grown a tad more fur from his last movie appearance from which this would've been set. (That would be Revenge of the Sith- as that is the last time Chewbacca is seen in film before A New Hope).
That a pretty nice take on Han winning the Falcon. That club had a lot of mandalorains there. I guess being some of the best blasters fore hire in the Galaxy gives you a lot of spending money to risk at a place like that. And a few might have been hired body guards.
This is a pretty solid interpretation of how it happened in the books. I love it when a fan film goes deep enough into the production to include aliens and robots too, so good work.
OH FUCK! I counted 5 Mandalorian in that club, Han is lucky that he didn't shoot her because she had 4 other Mandalorians who would have attacked Han and Chewbacca.
Confession to make, I swear I'm not attracted to Lego figures, but, Beach Trooper from TCS is thicc. Also the Lando and Han Solo acters are really good
Spectacular fan film! The actors were perfectly cast, especially the Han Solo. He would make a good Han Solo in the Han Solo anthology film. The lines were very good, with a little bit of nostalgia. Overall, this is one of the best fan films that I have seen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Better than the same part in Disney’s Solo, that’s for sure. Although, technically, Disney owns the rights to Starlord, too, so he could’ve also been in Solo. Awesome film, guys!
Great set, decent plot. Needs work on costuming and pacing. I've studied film and behavioral analysis for two years. By no means am I an expert on film direction, nor do I think that I have what it takes to make something even remotely as good as this. I simply wanted to provide some constructive criticism to help you make even better films. George Lucas turned to the most unlikely people for his costumes and props. His pool guy made the molds for the storm trooper helmets and a friend of his made Obiwan's lightsaber out of old camera parts. I wish you guys the best of luck in your future films and may the force be with you!
This is a really well made movie, with great voice acting and visual effects. The only things I have problems with is the wig Lando is wearing, and the madalorians voice sounding off. Other than that, this is great
Awwww, so sweet that Boba and Han could bury the hatchet and just enjoy each other’s company. What’s some carbonite between a couple good buddies. Edit: shoot, that’s not Mr. Fett, is it? Who is she?? Briika Jeban? Benna Lodd? I’m going with Benna, for no particular reason.
This guy could play han in the solo movie for 2018 he looks so much more like him than Alden however the hell u spell his last name but all this guy needs to do is do a better job with the voice and then he's spot on
Great job! The guy playing Han certainly looks the part. The guy playing Lando does a perfect voice impersonation, but his wig was quite distracting.
But all-in-all, a brilliant little film! Keep it up!
+Daniel Johansson Thanks for the kind words!
I liked when the rebel pilot casually walked past the Storm Trooper. This was Great! Can't believe I never saw this before.
Omfg, I swear I saw Star-Lord from guardians of the Galaxy in there, somewhere...
Anyway, awesome job! 😊
You did. He dipped soon as the red cheater got killed.
That was me
And gamora too
😊
ya he was?
Such a great film. Loved the setting and story. It deserves far more than 28k views... I have added it to my Public SW fan film playlist.
guy did landos voice very well
mikebaxtersc5 Han's voice sounds like it was voiced by Bradley Cooper
Spot on!
5:20 they actually predicted the line from Solo A Star Wars Story.

That ONE clip had more SW soul than ALL of the Solo movie
That is so awesome!! Loved the long shot at the beginning of the film!! Man, you can easily continue this as a fan series or something!!! Loved the little Starlord cameo!! Watched again, so good
This is short of retailing the part Han wins the ship from the Han Solo Trilogy
This was excellent. Absolutely fantastic! Good casting, good acting, good sets, good jokes all coming together to make a wonderful fan film.
literally only problem i have is Landos wig this was great!!!
You know this is a particularly rough part of town when half the guys in the bar are Mandos. Great job with this!
So he's been wearing the same outfit for 50 years?
John Wick Han Solo is only 34 in a new hope, what the hell
Fantastic work, I’d love to be a Tusken Raider in a fan film made this professionally.
Chewbacca looks a little strange- looks like he's grown a tad more fur from his last movie appearance from which this would've been set. (That would be Revenge of the Sith- as that is the last time Chewbacca is seen in film before A New Hope).
At least, Star Wars years wise. Not actual years- since "Star Wars" was first.
Lando guy does and excellent job! The voice and mannerisms are spot on! Great film guys love it!
That a pretty nice take on Han winning the Falcon. That club had a lot of mandalorains there. I guess being some of the best blasters fore hire in the Galaxy gives you a lot of spending money to risk at a place like that. And a few might have been hired body guards.
Here in 2020 bc of Disney+ Mandalorian great costumes and acting. Well done!
Seems to be getting a bit more traction thanks to that show 😀
i love the mando girl.
Check out Dan McBride FIlms facebook page to see her in action for part two coming out today!
I love their waitress.
This is a pretty solid interpretation of how it happened in the books. I love it when a fan film goes deep enough into the production to include aliens and robots too, so good work.
This was better than the hole solo movie 👏
For a film that came out 5 years ago and before the actual show this is crazy good
For a week’s project this is painfully good!
Why have I never seen this before, it's amazing. I really liked all the references.
He really just predicted the solo movie though
Fun Fact, there is a real Genre called "Space Western" The Mandalorian is catagorized as one
Like the ‘Firefly’ series? And the movie too, I guess…
That was a pretty good fan film! The actors playing Lando & Han Solo did a good job!
Star lord? This was very impressive. FREAKIN love the 80s hair, tho
The Mandalorians must have been having a clan meet up.
Very well done! Great work, cast and crew. Love the location and detail.
OH FUCK! I counted 5 Mandalorian in that club, Han is lucky that he didn't shoot her because she had 4 other
Mandalorians who would have attacked Han and Chewbacca.
Vincent The Purple Guy Very true! When there is one Mandalorian, there is bound to be more.
Excellent film
For Mandalore!
This is the way
That 70's Lando! Great Lando voice though!
**Mandalorian not Samus shoots first**
**Han draws but doesn’t shoot**
“There’s honor amongst thieves.”
Great little film, keep it up
Confession to make, I swear I'm not attracted to Lego figures, but,
Beach Trooper from TCS is thicc.
Also the Lando and Han Solo acters are really good
If I hadn’t been told that hologram projector was an L.E.D. Tea candle with two hose clamps on it, I would have never guessed!
Spectacular fan film! The actors were perfectly cast, especially the Han Solo. He would make a good Han Solo in the Han Solo anthology film. The lines were very good, with a little bit of nostalgia. Overall, this is one of the best fan films that I have seen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wait, is that female-mando Tali-Zorah???
Saw this at the April 2016 Channel 801 showcase. Really enjoyed it! :-)
Better than the same part in Disney’s Solo, that’s for sure. Although, technically, Disney owns the rights to Starlord, too, so he could’ve also been in Solo. Awesome film, guys!
Well done. Liked the Star Lord cameo lol
Great set, decent plot.
Needs work on costuming and pacing.

Great comment.
Cool!!, Han solo like shaggy of scooby do and Chew is cousin It addam hahaha
i kinda like it! and i hate any one who tries to be han.... this guy kinda pulls it off in his own way! hes cute!
Dan!! great work, is possible you can make a better version of episode 7th?
Pretty good, love the characters and how you portray them. Only critism: an Idiot's Array is actually a 0 card along with a 2 & 3 of the same suit.
It doesn't have to be the same suit, any 2 and 3 will do, but I thought the exact same thing
I liked it, Good job!
Nicely done.
Nice work!
1:44 is that star lord from Guardians of the Galaxy?!
That was pretty good. Oh, and I love that you have Star Lord in there making a cameo.
Awesome!🌟😁👍🏿
That was awesome!!!!
Always Films
I love the Peter Quill cameo
That was awesome!
perfect voice for mandalorian. love it. 3:38
You're kidding, right?
Hang on - there's a stormtrooper RIGHT THERE, and he doesn't even TRY to arrest the mandalorian for murder?!
Well the stormtrooper’s aren’t really on the good side sooo
Ohhhh my…1:07 Those are some hypnotic eyes! Could get lost in them.
1:43 StarLord?
Nice work
Peter and Gamora bouncing!
When do we get to see the newest smugglers show?! I can't wait!
very kewl!
This is a really well made movie, with great voice acting and visual effects. The only things I have problems with is the wig Lando is wearing, and the madalorians voice sounding off. Other than that, this is great
Why did Star lord from guardians of the galaxy make an appearance? ☹️
lol the guy in the star lord costume
Good fun!
Kinda accurate to how he got it
this is criminally underrated!
Excellent set and casting!
Did Disney copystrike this?
Not yet lol

The Mandalorian sounds like a tinny.

Star Lord cameo XD
the makeup/costumes/effects could need some work, but the rest is top notch.
im sorry but that is an ugly Chewbacca costume lol
Dude did disney really steal your idea wtf lol
star lord lol
0:37 is he an Alder-Espirion?
Yup!
WAY better than SOLO.
fuckin eh i like it
Why was star lord in it
Cause. Its a commentary on Disney's monopoly of the entertainment industry. Jk, just thought it would get a chuckle or two.
Better than Solo
Who directed this... Kathleen Kennedy!!!?
3:48
NO! NO! NO! Please don't never ever touch anything even similar to Star Wars.
This is horrible lol
Thanks man! Your opinion is very valued!
