    I'm about to buy an 800, and so i been leaning to the X because i'm more of a simple man and can do with out the bells and whistles. your video helped drive home which one is for me.

    Honestly, I didn't buy the 800c because of the side-start but more so for the straps and waist belt. the cool thing though about the c model is that you can buy the X starter rope and install it without an issue. I haven't actually done this yet because so far the side-start is working fine but it is a bit quirky to cold start. but yeah, that 50 dollars more is worth it just for that nice strap system. plus I'm a fan of that telescoping tube.

      Absolutely! Great point. Its a very comfortable machine to run on long days of clean-ups. The waist belt does help a ton if you have it on for long periods of time.

      @@bladezllc you know what perplexes me about stihl and their backpack blowers is that they only make right-hand trigger throttle models. they don't make left-handed hip throttle like all the other brands out there. so strange 🤔

    • @bladezllc
      @bladezllc  3 роки тому

      That is so crazy I haven't even thought of that. You'd think with their money they would get one out.

    • @benjaminleslie3155

      @@bladezllc yeah because where i live in the north east, most landscapers i've seen use hip throttle. regardless if it's Echo, Shindaiwa, Redmax, or Husqvarna. plenty of them use stihl stick equipment but not so much their backpack blowers. aside from maybe the br600 since those are very popular with year around use.

    I just bought the 800x and it is great.Have an echo 500 and the Stihl does the work in half the time.Would highly recommend it.

    You can add the chest strap for around $10 to the X version. I very much prefer the lighter X version and that's what I bought several years ago now, not long after they came out. Stihl engineers will tell you that the X version's tube is more efficient.

    • @bladezllc
      @bladezllc  Рік тому +2

      The X version tube is definitely more efficient. I made this video long ago and have done 100+ cleanups. I would still recommend the X. X is the way to go hands down!

    The best blower on the market, if you want to get the job done, is the Echo 9010. Blow's over 200 CFM more than the Stihl. Nothin' to sneeze at there.

    The side start works fine. People just need to learn how to use their tools properly. The 800C ‘weighs’ less than a 600. Why? Because anyone who has carried 120lb over rough terrain with angry wasps coming at you knows that the weight is put through your hips via the belt. There should be little to no weight through the shoulder straps. Therefore the 800C is Stihl’s lightest blower.

      Waste of time having the hip belt for blowing clippings off driveways. Its quick on quick off. To this day we only use the C for leaf cleanups. But hey to each their own! If you like it, that's excellent it's a fine blower.
