07 GSXR 600 Rectifier/Stator Replacement the RIGHT Way

- My 2007 Suzuki GSXR 600 was charging around 12 volts and since I got the bike I replaced the rectifier with a cheap one, but haven't touched the stator. I think the stator went out this time around but I decided to get a stator, Mosfet rectifier, plugs and stator gasket kit for 100$ off amazon. Replaced everything and the bike charges great now! Most important thing is to have a smooth dry clean surface for the new gasket to latch onto as well as putting gasket maker around where the stator wires exit the top left of the cover.
I’m so glad I came across your channel…. I was driving myself crazy with trying to install the top part of the stator case… trying to match the gears up all at once was insane. Glad you had a diagram to show how… thanks!!!
Good video, watched it with the earphones, just to hear, off to tackle my gsxr600 now. Cheers.
Good job, thank you for share/making this video. Saved me $500
Good god.. Great video but I don't understand how people whisper through a video yet turn the music up to 11.
In the living room, love it
Cool thanks for the video.
Good job man
can you list what tools you need to replace the stator and rectifier. Socket wrenches stuff like that I appreciate you man
Thanks good video
What kind of tools would you need to do this? My dealership is asking 200 for the gasket replacement
Out of curiosity, did this fix the issue and last with the aftermarket parts?
How far down does ur stator bolts go (the 3 inside cover)? I did mine as far as i can go but there not like yours its just a regular bolt. My stator keeps making a rattling sound and ive already re checked the bolts
You dont have to take the oil out or tilt your bike to change the stator. Very minimal oil will come out👍
That’s a fair point. But still a good thing to know for those who are scared of a little oil drip!.
He brought his motorcycle inside I would also drain everything lmao
Hey man good video, do I need to order a specific new gasket? Or can I just use gasket sealer?
What were you doing at around 9:00 with the extra pin in the connector?? Can you explain please
@The Gold Barron when doing this repair, where or what sources did you go through.. Suzuki? I'm told to go through them directly using VIN#.
Appreciate your video, love it! Hope to hear back. Have a good day, as well as a ride! 👍👍👍
the torque settings for cower bolts r important, and must be done correctly taken from service manual, not just guessing
I like the living room garage setup
We're did you buy your parts
aye bro, got a link for where u got yours?
Why did you replace it in the first place
Someone help me!!
I’m replacing the stator too, with the cover offf im able to spin the gear to one side very easy, but once i put the cover back and try too spin it before putting the top part it doesn’t move? Its this normal?
Could put a pillow between the table and it- just as a note.
What song is that brother
This is my 2nd failed cheap stator. I just got the ricks rectifier and stator which was like 300 bucks but its not worth it to cheap out on this. Just buy a ricks stator and never do it again. I used ebay stuff on 2 occasions and they always fail with fried coils after about 2 years. Left me on the nj turnpike 150 miles from home last time.
🤔🤔
Yo man! This vid worked great, everything went smooth and my bikes battery is good again! Stator was Fried! The gear cover however is leaking now from the bottom bolt. I took it off again today and tried to check the O ring and it looks okay... any advice? Super slow oil leak
The Gold Barron the o ring wasn’t seated right I got it a while ago, thanks man!
sir do u have link tht u purchase item at amazon ?
Anyone know why my rr only has 2 wires one going to positive and one to negative all the new ones come with 2 red 2 black what should I do?
link to the kit
Should have used a razor to remove bigger chunks of old gasket and then Scotch Brite non-scratch scour pad to avoid damage to surface.
It is necessary to change the oil after burning the stator? Because I changed oil recently and did maybe 900 km.

So all Chinese stators are of poor quality? I just bought a stator for 75 euros made in china.
I got confused on the plug in part
Hi currently having charging issues with my gsxr 750 2005 I replaced regulator and stator but still having the charging issues I made a video on my channel. My question is when I disconnect the stator from regulator and test the stator plug with a 12v light tester while bike is running should the light turn on? Because my light turns on like showing the stator is grounded not sure what to do stator is new
I have a question.
Did you put in a genuine Suzuki stator or cheap Chinese stator?
How much all that cost you?
How has the bike lasted after using the parts from Amazon?
Btw thanks for the tutorial, used it to check my parts and indeed they need replacing.
@@thegoldbarron9504this is true but this year is also the last one to have no restrictions electronically on them. Just raw power. It has some restrictions just not as much as 08 and up
You we’re brave for doing it in the living room 😂
The Gold Barron not getting oil on the floor
Did you have any problem with tilting the bike over?
Shouldn’t, bikes fall all the time and get back up lol
@@jaycardona3492 No...
Does anyone have the inside bolt. Mine was damaged and need a new one. Any help is appreciated
Partzilla is pretty good with loose parts. 👍🏾
You obviously rent that place!
I think i lost a washer
I got oil im my stator cover
It's $100 for OEMs ?
@@thegoldbarron9504 oh ok gotcha, you have the link off Amazon for it? I'm in the same position just need a cheap kit, bc I'm selling mines also next month
I did everything right now my bike just clicks towards the end the battery I'm guess is bad or ??
Jump your bike to your car. Ride it and let the stator charge your battery. Or put you battery on a charger. The clicking sound is the switch inside the starter relay, failing to have enough power to engage the starter motor. Basically your battery lacks the power to start the bike.
Your GF didn't look to happy sitting on the couch. Hahahahahahaha
You do NOT need to add gasket sealer. I bought some, because of this video and another, but saw how sealed it is without it. Just clean it up real well.
Also - if you use a razor or screwdriver, BE CAREFUL bc they’re steel... steel scratches aluminum very easily... that’s probably why you’d need the gasket maker...
Where the fuck is the rectifier?????
