For a little correction tip for hunting though:
I don’t think the developers put the head tilting mechanic into the mule deer, I think it’s only the elk who do that. And they don’t do it because they’re necessarily tired, but when they’re lower on health. It makes them want to be extra alert and is their attempt to see behind themselves better to keep track of where you are. So it helps you pick out the easier targets if you pay attention to which ones are tilting their heads back.
Weaker elk are also more prone to stumble and fall too. Especially when running down hill. Hope that helps if you ever play again.
But you’re right about the deer and their stonking tactic though! But they are faster and harder to run down and tire out. It’s usually better to cut one off and catch it by surprise and give it a couple nips to weaken it into a normal run…so they are tougher.

i think this game could be fun in a group but i would prob get bored alone
