Geordie - Another piece of Brilliant Bass Work, Thank You Very Much. Last Tuesday was a poignant day, with the funeral of a Brilliant Graphic Designer & 79 Mod, Paul McEvoy. You will know his amazing work from the Terry Rawlings Mod a Very British Phenomena & Then Now & Rare British Beat Bands through to Smiler Anderson’s Mod a New Religion. Paul also did that cracking cover for Andy Lewis’s Are You Trying To Be Lonely single that he did with Paul Weller as well as all the Rare Mod work for Acid Jazz.
The last song at Paul’s Service was Strange Town and I will be learning it on bass as a tribute.
I know you will have been learning it as part of your aim to cover as many Jam songs as possible - If you upload Strange Town soon I would be Eternally Grateful 🙏

Thanks another great sounding cover. During the bridge when you are playing notes on the A and G strings simultaneously, eg 2 + 4, 7 + 9, are you also playing the D string? Seems hard to avoid using a pick. What thickness of pick do you use?

Thanks 👍I'm just playing the A and G strings and sort of muting the D string with the index finger, it's quite a thin pick I'm using and I'm not strumming very hard sort of lightly.
