Fantastic playing Geordie!!! What a great bass line. Super smooth pick playing and tone. What a great energy to this song. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Thomas, yeah definitely a great one to play, thanks for watching 👍
So, for me, on this song, since I'm not great with the Plectrum, I'm going to use my fingers, to get the fret board down, then when I finish a phrase, I'm coming back using the Pick, It seems to be easier, for me, since I don't have to worry about my Left hand :) Whatever works right? lol
I think you can get away with playing Foxton songs by just digging deep.
Fantastically impressive work.
Brilliant. Another classic. Great cover of a great bassline.
Thanks Alan 👍
What a track !!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂
.
Wow it looks complicated ......... yeh they were an incredible band back then in '79 🙂
Spot on! Thanks helped a lot. Good work. Bruce Foxton had a great ear to work his bass magic on Weller's songs
Thanks pal been waiting ages for someone to stick some good jam bass tabs on well played son
Thanks Marc :-)
Nice one, GB. Learning this right now, and it's helping me to understand how bass lines are constructed. It's simple, but drives the song and helps make Eton Rifles sound potent and forceful.
Thanks 👍Weller wrote some good tunes but I don't think they would of been as good without foxtons bassline!
@@TheGeordieBassistyep. And "simple" isn't a word I'd use to describe Foxton basslines.
Superb cover of a CLASSIC song .Thanks GB.
Thanks Jon 👍
This is totally outstanding mate. Love it!!!
Thanks Neil 👍

Thanks Daniel 👍

So, Frickin Great!
Love this 👍
Another gem. Well done Geordie.
Thanks Andrew 👍
Another top job👍👍
Not as easy as it looks
Brilliant playing
It takes chops, and I don't normally play with a Pic, so I'm struggling to keep up, and 150BPM...
Nailed it, and a nice growly precision tone.
Thanks 👍
Thanks easy to follow with the tabs bought a bass last year to go with the guitar i can hardly play 🤣
What are the notes you play that are not numbered . Look like number 7s
@@daveelwood58 That's the 7th fret. 1-12 are the frets, when you see a 5, that's the 5th fret, and look at what string, E-A-D-G...
Excellent cover, I cant quite get the timing
Thanks 👍keep practicing you will get it eventually 🤘
Great video thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Fantastic! Are you doing any more from Setting Sons?

I'm gonna redo it, it sounded weird with the jazz bass, gonna try and get it back up over the weekend. The tab should still be on buy me a coffee tho, thanks for the beer by the way 👍
@@TheGeordieBassist thanks for letting me know. Sounded good to me. It would be interesting to see what your set up is on various tracks.

@@TheGeordieBassist Subscribed GB, London Calling? Keep up the good work, a drum bandit will appear and blame you. Just say to drummer, you can easily be replaced by a small box! ;)
