Never played Gears of War, never watched any videos of it, barely know what the story is and I've never had an Xbox, but I love cutscenes in video games and I heard that Gears of War had good ones.
I am a gears of war fan and i just have to give you props! this must've took so much work editing and you did a great job on recreating the story completely. amazing and it was just awesome. spend a whole day in vegas watching this rather than going out to do something because this game has a very good story and you put it all together one. Good work
Been a subscriber of yours for a little while now and have always enjoyed your vids. This one was quite the undertaking given the length. From what I've seen so far I'm enjoying it immensely. It's also shown me that perhaps I need to maybe pick these games up for my own amusement. In the past I'd never given GOW a fair shake, thinking it was just another "BANG! BANG! POW! BOOM! BOOM!" shooting game. I truly had no idea the depths and complexity of the actual story line. Suffice to say that I was genuinely impressed. What happened to A. Carmine? He was supposed to get shot by a sniper but he wasn't in this at all! Dom makes the reference around 2:17:00 about B. Carmine's brother (A. Carmine) yet he does not feature in this? The Carmines were a running sega! A. Carmine KIA, B. Carmine KIA and C. Carmine was presumed dead until he climbs from the wreckage - he was just one badass muthafucker! I guess his new style of helmet allowed him to filtrate dust from the air and still allow him to be able to spot snipers too. The best of both worlds! :)
Damn much props, i just finished streaming the gears series run on twitch minus the dlcs and it took me a several in game hours across a month and a half. You have it in one vid in less than 7 hours. Like i said before, much props 👍🏽

There's something I don't get...... why do soldiers in futuristic shooters and sci-fi RPGs HAVE MORE PERSONALITY than the grunts in like COD and Battlefield? It baffles the mind. The party banter in this game is occasionally hilarious, and I actually care about the characters.
That's because in CoD and BF any squadmates can die at any time, so the devs don't bother developing unique characters. In GoW (as well as BattleField Bad Company duology), you have the exact same squad throughout the entire game, so there's time and room for a personality.
2:52:50 onwards to 2:54:55 Is one of the most tear-jerking scenes I've ever encountered in a video-game. All that time, all the fighting, all the friends lost and blood shed trying to find her and that .... gah. Gah. I need to go hug my family now.
Thanks. Raam's shadow is real inconsistent so it's hard to pinpoint when it happened. For example if it was years after E Day, why was the city they were evacuating still intact. It should have been destroyed from the hammer strikes. Some sites, even IGN's official review places the DLC a few days after E-Day, while others say it's years after. In the end I thought introducing Raam from the beginning gave the whole video a better feel. Thanks for pointing that out, I appreciate it.

They were evacuated into the mountains during the Pendulum Wars, along with the scientists. the scientists had a daughter, Myrrah, who became the Locust Queen. You're welcome :D

On Normal for each game, whatever it's called in each. Cause in part one, there is no normal option, there's only casual, hardcore and insane. On that one I did it on Casual tbh, because I didn't know if Hardcore was suppose to be equivalent to Normal or Hard. Wanted to get through the games as fast as possible, but also didn't want it to be ridiculously easy

As long of a movie as this is, it actually is a fantastic war movie. It covers every aspect of the deep story line as well as the violence that the games bring. It also shoes how the game has evolved (minus the prequels.) There are some parts of the story missing, but overall great job!
